the morning after

Chapter 14
‘Thoughts’
“Talking”
~7:30am~
Inuyasha was the first to rise early the next morning. Violet eyes gently fluttered open, but then immediately snapped shut, blocking out the morning rays, creeping through the window. He stifled a yawn, trying to makes it’s way out, in order to not to wake the sleeping beauty next to him, from her, what looked like, peaceful slumber. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and looked down to the young girl cuddled to his chest. ‘She’s so damn beautiful’ he thought to himself. A smile crept its way onto his face as the events from the night before re-played in his head. ‘I can’t believe I was her first, I was.’
Gently, as not to disturb her, he leaned forward and planted a soft, gentle kiss to her lips. She shifted slightly in her sleep, and he immediately froze, fearing that he had woke her , and ruined the moment, but he let out the breath he was holding when she made no more movements, and let out only a murmur, “..Mmm…yasha.” That brought a smile to his face.
He gently pulled his arm out from her head, as she was using it as a pillow, and slowly crept out of bed. He walked over to his dresser and pulled out a clean pair of boxers and dark blue flannel bottoms. He walked to the attached bathroom, where he dressed, and cleaned up a bit. Brushing his hair and pulling it back into a low ponytail, he then walked out of the bathroom and into the bedroom, where he saw Kagome still asleep. He slowly approached the side of the bed where she had been laying, and pulled the covers up to her shoulders. After he made sure she was warm enough, he walked out of the bedroom, slowly closing the door behind him, and headed down stairs to make breakfast for the both of them.
~8:06 am~
Kagome had woken up, expecting to still be in the arms of her love, but was surprised to see that his spot was empty, and the warmth from his body had long ago faded, but she buried her face in his pillow, and took in a deep breath of his left over cologne that still lingered there. After a few minutes of breathing in whatever left of his scent that she could, a new scent is what drawn her out of bed, the scent of buttermilk, knowing that Inuyasha was most likely cooking pancakes. She crawled out of bed and into his attached bathroom, a shower was in order, to wash off the aftermath of love making.
15 minutes later, Kagome walked out of the bathroom with nothing but a little white towel wrapped around her. She walked out of his room and into hers. Walking up to her dresser, she pulled out some undergarments, a pair of dark blue flare jeans, and a light brown short sleeved t-shirt. After dressing, she brushed her hair and pulled it up into a low pony tail. Deciding that she was good, Kagome headed down stairs towards the kitchen.
~8:30 am~
Inuyasha had just finished pouring the last drop of syrup on a stack of pancakes, when he saw Kagome round the corner and walk right into the kitchen. “Hey there gorgeous” he said right as she sat at the table. “Good morning” she replied with a big smile on her face. “Did you sleep good?” he asked her. He set the plate full of pancakes down in front of her, and took a seat in the chair on her right side, and digging into his own plate.
“That was the best good night sleep I have had in a long time.” She looked down at her plate and took a deep breath, filling her longs with the sweet aroma of the freshly cooked meal. “mmmm, smells good, I can’t wait to eat them” she replied as she picked up for fork and butter knife and started to cut small pieces. “Well what are you waiting for? Dig in” She didn’t need to be told twice. At his remark she stabbed her fork into a couple of pieces and shoved them into her mouth. Making sure to chew the pieces a few times so that she wouldn’t choke, and at the same time, savoring the wonderful taste. “mmmm, delicious.”
“so what do you plan on doing today?” he asked her while taking a bite out of his own meal. “I think I’m gonna finish working on my project that’s due next week, that should only take about an hour and a half, if I’m lucky. Why what do you plan on doing?”
“I got about three hours of paperwork to grade, then I’m going to go tune up the car a bit, then that’ll be it.” After their breakfast was finished, Kagome collected the dirty dishes into the sink to let them soak for a bit. By noon Inuyasha had just finished grading the rest of his students papers from the week before and started to head out to the car, and Kagome had finished her project an hour before he had finished and was sitting in the living room watching t.v when she saw him walk by from the corner of her eye.
“Need any help out there?” she asked still sitting cross legged on the couch. “I don’t need your help, but if you want to come accompany me outside you can, I would like that” he replied giving her one of his world famous smiles. “I would love to” getting up from the couch and casually walking over to him, while swaying her hips a little bit just to get his attention, and she did. Right as she walked past him, his eyes were immediately drawn to her luscious plump bottom, ‘oh god how I love that ass.’ He was brought out of his thoughts by her talking to him, “you coming?” she asked with an innocent look on her face. “I sure am” he said as he chased after her.
Inuyasha was loving his life right now, he had a great paying job, a nice place to live, a great car, and most importantly, the love of his life right at his side. Thinking the next few weeks at school were going to be great between getting the rest of the grades in before school let out and knowing that really soon, he’d be able to spend two whole months with Kagome and not having to deal with anymore work. Nothing could go wrong……..or so he thought.

srry guys that I haven’t been able to update any sooner, a lot of things have been happening in the past few months were I was drawn away from the computer, and I’ve kinda had writers block to and still kinda do, but I’ll get another chapter up, I’m thinking theres going to be one more left, and it’ll be a really long one, so don’t worry, im still alive, and sorry it’s so short.
