"Ahhh!"
Sesshomaru's reaction to his mate's cry was instant. He drew both Tenseiga and Bakusaiga and charged out of the cave.
"Dragon strike!" Sesshomaru called forth, but Moryomaru absorbed the attach.
"Dance of the dragon!" Kagura shouted.
"Backlash wave!" Inuyasha countered.
"Give us the boy, now," Hakudoshi demanded.
"Feh, you're going to have to get passed us if you want him!" Inuyasha shouted back.
"There is no need for all this effort, I shall finish them off right now," Naraku said after appearing.

"Now?" Kikyou asked.
"Yes, he has brought the rest of the jewel," Midoriko replied.

"He ain't yours you bastard!" Inuyasha shouted at Naraku, giving time for Rin to take her position within her mate's armor.
"I revived him so he is mine," Naraku growled.
"Yours!" Sango railed and threw her weapon in rage at the demon, but it bounced off his berrior harmlessly.
"You foolish slayer, do you actually believe that you can get out of this alive? Kill the humans, the dogs are mine," Naraku ordered.
"Thunder flare!" Haruka called out and attacked Kagura.
'Damn,' the wind witch thought. 'This half demon is different that Inuyasha. I've never seen her species.'

Adamant barrage!" Inuyasha shouted, but Naraku vanished and reappeared behind Sesshomaru. However, the full dog demon sensed the move and moved out to the way of Naraku's attack.
"Foolish," Sesshomaru growled and tried to cut the spider down with Bakusaiga, but the berrior was in the way.
"Ahhhhhh!" Inuyasha shouted and the adamant shelled Tetsusaiga crashed into the berrior, breaching it. Naraku vanished again and reappeared several feet away from them, his berrior restored.
"You won't get through my berrior that easily anymore, Inuyasha," Naraku growled.
"Heh, like I'm going to let that berrior stay up for much longer!" Inuyasha shouted and charged.

"You humans don't stand a chance," Hakudoshi said with a smirk.
"If you weren't up on your beast of burden then I'd have you in my wind tunnel," Miroku countered.
"Do I look that stupid?" Hakudoshi retorted.
'What's going on with these shards? They are glowing strangely," Kagome thought to herself.

'This is getting us nowhere. He's got his monster that is guarding his heart attacking the humans and the half tiger mate of Inuyasha is is fighting Kagura. I'll need Inuyasha to follow my lead, but I don't want Naraku picking up on what we are doing...' Sesshomaru thought then came to a solution. He turned towards his brother and gave a bark. This confuses both Naraku and Inuyasha.
"What the fuck is he...' Inuyasha thought then his brother barked again. 'He's trying to tell me something but he doesn't want Naraku...' he then barked back at his brother.
"And what are you doing?" Naraku questioned, but the brothers continued to growl and bark at each other, confusing the spider even more. Then, the brothers made their move. They charged at Moryomaru. One Adamant Barrage followed by a violent cut by Sesshomaru left a giant gash in the monster's side.
"The infant!" Miroku cried.
'Uh oh,' Hakudoshi thought realizing that they were in troubled.
"Why isn't he regenerating!" Naraku ranted.
"My sword, when it cuts, negates the regeneration process," Sesshomaru explained and Naraku grabbed the infant with his tentacles.
"Not today, dogs," Naraku said. Then, to his horror, the jewel exploded from out of his body. The two purple shards and the dark blue shards started to turn grey. Kagome and Haruka's eyes lost focus as the jewel continued to change to grey.

"Kagome,"
The young priestess turned and saw the spirit of Kikyou.
"Kikyou?"
"It's time for me to return."
"Return?"
"You cannot live with a fracture soul. Your powers can't fully developed if your soul is fractured." Kikyou finished. Kagome nodded and Kikyou reached out. The other priestess smirked and kissed Kagome. A feeling of warmth spread throughout her spirit. The sensation of being kissed quickly left her and a new sense of completeness came over her.

"Why have you invaded my body?" Haruka asked the soul that was before here.
"I believe you know who I am."
The tiger half demon looked over the spirit for a moment until she came to a realization.
"You're Midoriko. Why are you here?"
"You are the key to breaking the 1000 year cycle we're in."
"What?"
"With just Kagome staying, a 1000 time loop is created every time the jewel is created and then destroyed after Naraku's final defeat. Now, that you are one of two mates of the half dog demon, you can make sure that he lives long enough to catch up to his second."
"And what does that have to do with you being inside my body?"
"Do you wish to be able to fight on your human night?"
"She growled, "Do not tempt me, priestess."
"Do you?"
"Of course! I hate how weak I feel...wait, are you saying that you'll join your soul with mine?"
"Yes. That way, at least during your human nights, you'll have priestess powers."
"Will I still..."
"You will still be you, at least, while you're a half demon."
"Well, if I'm going to be different during my human nights then I'm all up for that," Haruka replied and Midoriko smiled and came close. The tiger smirked, reached out, and took the spirit in an embrace and kissed her.

"The jewel, it's...just a normal rock," Miroku remarked.
"No!" Naraku fumed. Tenseiga rattled and Sesshomaru drew it and saw the spirit of the other amalgamation that had created the jewel with that priestess. He attacked and the sword of heaven banished the demon's spirit to hell.
"I shall kill all of you for this," Naraku growled readying himself to take his reincarnates and himself away from the battle field, but laughter from Kagome stopped him.
"Stop that!" Naraku shouted.
"You fool," Kagome began, "you can't kill Kikyou because I am Kikyou and Kikyou is me."
"What?"
"Kikyou was the one to free Kohaku from that shard by using her spirit to purify the jewel. Now that she and Midoriko have left the jewel, the jewel is no more. And, you can never kill Kikyou," Kagome finished and Naraku lashed out, but Inuyasha's Adamant Barrage damaged him and Sesshomaru started hacking away at the spider demon.
"Damn you all! I shall send you all to hell!" Naraku vowed and took his reincarnates away in a cloud of his poison.
"Bah, I like to see you try," Inuyasha growled.
"You will be the one to reside in hell, spider," Sesshomaru said and Rin came out of her hiding place. Sesshomaru checked over her to make sure that she was uninjured. Seeing that she was unharmed, he headed back into the cave. The wolf dog needed to come with them and being her Alpha, she wasn't going to say no.
