chapter 13
They waited through the night with no answer or hint of what else was to happen. Morning came with the same result. The Inu-gang, plus Kuwabara and Shizuka, decided to stay. Well Shizuka didn’t really have a say, for that matter she didn’t even move her hands when they were deciding.
Having no one to translate her and not giving a damn to deal with not being understood, Shizuka spent her times looking at the spot where her love left her and where he took the one who made her time with out him bearable.
Kuwabara tried to keep him self busy by playing with Kilala and Shippo. Kagome stayed by InuYasha who was on edge. Mostly because now more people knew he was human, partly because he had seen the man who took the little girl away before and let him go. Miroku watched with a jealous glare at Kuwabara, who now was talking with Sango making her blush.
“That should be me!” He muttered under his breath. He clenched his fist as he saw her place a hand on his arm and gently glides it down his muscular arms. She was smiling as he talked. They began laughing as Kuwabara was telling her a very animated story.
Shizuka finally came out of her room to look to the west. The wind blew from the west allowing her long silver hair to be taken as its puppet. Everyone seemed to stop what they were doing to see her out of her room. She inhaled and closing her eyes she exhaled slowly before opening her eyes again. As soon as they opened she bolted past Kuwabara and Sango running at full speed. Taking a few seconds to think, Kuwabara shouted that they needed to go after her. Kilala turned into her full form, Sango, and Kuwabara. Kagome climbed onto InuYasha’s back. “Miroku you stay with Shippo incase they come back before we do.” Before he could protest they were off following her scent.
Miroku watched as his friends left and once they were out of sight he turned to be faced with Yoko Kurama.
“Where is Shizuka?”
“She ran off and the rest of the gang went after her” he looked at him and noticed he looked like he had seen a ghost. “is something wrong.”
“It was Kuronue. He is alive but how… he died”
“Naraku sometimes takes the dead and brings them to life using shards of the Shikon Jewel. He used it on Kohaku, Sango’s lil brother who died.”
“How can some one be so evil?”
“He has the souls of thousands of demons with in him” Miroku told him about Naraku and then remembering he asked. “So where did you go?”
“To the last place where I saw Kuronue alive. His body was gone and so was the pendant Shizuka gave him.”

After most of the morning running Kilala stopped as did InuYasha. They both could feel it. A barrier was just ahead. Not an evil one like Naraku’s, but it was one to protect something or someone. Kagome walked over and touched the barrier.
“It seems friendly.”
“A friendly barrier?” he watched as Kagome walked through the barrier and look back at him. “Do you see anything?” no answer “KAGOME!” He pounded the barrier only to he thrown back. Kuwabara and Sango couldn’t get in either. “KAGOME!!!!!”
