Chapter Fourteen

Kagome couldn't believe she'd just heard him correctly. Had he just told her he never planned on seeing her again. He was about to walk away from her. Had she meant anything to him, the look on his face said no. Then it all made sense, why he'd been nervous all morning. He'd never meant to stay with her. He'd slept with the her the first night and everytime after knowing he'd leave her today. She'd been nothing but a quick fuck. Someone to use and discard. Here she was believing that she had a relationship with him and she meant nothing to him.

He tried to speak to her, he felt guilty at seeing the look on her face. He couldn't have a relationship with her. It was impossible, she shared a life bond with Yomi. One day soon he would give in and so would she. Which meant the fox had no future with her. "Kagome I never promised you anything." He knew his words sounded harsh.

"You're right you didn't. I was just being stupid again. Fine, if this is the way you want it." She took a few steps away from him giving him her back. "You know I should have known you were that kind."

"What kind is that?"

"The 'Get In, Get Off, and Get Out." She left him standing there, not wanting him to see the tears streaming down her cheeks. She found her room before anyone encountered her.

She layed down on the bed and cried. How could he have been with her this morning knowing he'd ditch her as soon as they got here? She cried herself to sleep, not sure what upset her more. Kurama ditching her or the fact that Yomi hadn't even cared enough to welcome her back.

Kagome woke up when the door suddenly opened up. Her eyes opened to find Yomi standing next to the bed, he didn't look happy. He looked anything but. Fear filled her as he towered over her, "What do you want?"

"You shouldn't have returned. You denied me, even went against the bond to deny me. Yet the first night you are alone with him you spread your legs. Was I not good enough for you?"

"Huh?" She felt her fear escalate when he reached down to grab her. She panicked when he tore the shorts off her. "What are you doing?"

"Taking what you so readily gave the fox." He was over her before she had time to run. She struggled against him, her fear reaching an all time high. His mouth claimed hers, what was that saki? She suddenly realized that he was intoxicated somehow. "Get off me."

He reached between them and fumbled with the ties of his pants. She started screaming when she felt him at her entrance, he placed a hand over her mouth. Pain tore through her as he entered her. Tears streamed down her face as he took her body.

The only thing she could think of was 'Why?' He hadn't acted like he cared the two weeks she was here. He'd only made one attempt to be with her. Then he'd been preoccupied with his other women. She felt him find his release and sighed that it was over. He stumbled off her and straightened himself up.

He faced the door and spoke, "Now get out."

Despair filled her at his words. "But what about.."

She didn't get to finish as he laughed harshly. "You don't need to worry your little simple head about it. I've had my most brilliant men working on a way to break the damn bond. All this time all I really needed to do was let the fox have a chance to get in your body." He saw her confused look. "That's right dear, didn't you noticed it? That after the fox took you the bond went away. Sure you noticed the difference."

In truth she hadn't. The sexual need had no longer been there but a part of her had still missed him. Had still wanted to see him. She sat up willing herself not to cry.

"Get your shit, if you aren't out in five minutes. I'll have my guards escort you out by any means possible. Don't forget I can kill you now." He left her sitting on the bed.

She slowly got to her feet, he would surely do what he said. She left the bag there, didn't take anything as she ran out the room. Her feet took her out the building and out the front gate of the city. She didn't stop running until she was far away. Her heart was bleeding as she ran from everything.

She wasn't sure long she had been running or where she was going. All she knew was that the further away she got from there the better. She got tired eventually and found a tree to lean against. Her eyes became heavy as she fell into a deep sleep.

Yomi woke up the next morning, head pounding and ears ringing. A woman moaned beside him and he shoved her out the bed. His nose instantly told him it was the wrong woman in his bed. What the hell had happened? He remembered sitting at the table last night and waiting for dawn to come. He'd been waiting for her to get back.

He'd been disappointed when he felt the life bond dissolve. It was his own fault he knew, he'd taken care of his needs elsewhere. He had known that all he really had to do was try and persuade her. She would have given in to him. Yet his pride had stayed his hand.

He had felt anger at the fox for touching what was his but then he remembered he'd given him his consent. As he sat at the table all he could think about was that he wanted her back. Would she even come back since the bond was broken? Or would she stay with the fox?

Had she come back? He got up and quickly got dressed, he walked into the next room and the smell hit him. Suddenly images came to mind, her screaming. The smell of her blood and his semen filled the room. Shock filled him as he remembered what he'd done and said. It had happened over twelve hours ago, surely she had went straight to Kurama.

He left the room to make sure that they were gone. He looked for over an hour to make sure. They were both gone. He sunk down against the wall letting it all sink in. He'd never see her again and if he did she would probably kill him.

A/N: Yes I know you all hate me now! Don't worry you will love me later. If you are confused the bond broke because she'd been a virgin when it was placed and someone else besides him took it. This is the end of Part One. Try not to hate me too much or I might cry.
