A Goddess from the Past

Chapter 15

Kagome tried to take her mind off of Sesshomaru by teaching the others how to cook the food she had in the future. She taught them a whole variety of different foods they could make with what they had, and they praised her continuously. By dinner time, they were all exhausted, and all troublesome thoughts had disappeared.

‘Hey! I was thinking…’, Mineko began to say. Another one of the cook quickly replied, ‘Well, that’s something you don’t do very often!’. Mineko chucked a rolling pin over at him, then continued, ‘As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted… Maybe we should just serve them normal food tonight, and tomorrow, change every single thing on their menu!’.

Kagome smiled, ‘That’s sounds good! That should wake him up in the morning!’. Mineko noticed how Kagome didn’t say ‘wake THEM up in the morning’, but instead said ‘wake HIM up’. ‘Maybe Kagome does want to get back together with Sesshomaru…’.

There was a brief knock on the door, which Mineko leapt up and ran to answer. She spoke for a few moments, then closed the door shut. Mineko returned to where she was sitting and pretended to be listening to the other chefs argue. Kagome could see that something was troubling her, so she leaned over and whispered, ‘Is everything alright? You seem to be upset about something…’.

Mineko shook it off and told Kagome that everything was alright. Once Kagome returned to the conversation, the head chef sank back into her thoughts. ‘I don’t understand… How could the elder let this happen…? I thought he wanted to help them! How am I going to tell Kagome-sama?’. ‘Mineko-san… Mineko-san???’.

‘Oh! I’m sorry, I must have dozed off a bit just now’. She looked to see each of them carrying 2 plates of food. ‘We’re going to be taking the food up now… If you’re tired, you should go rest then! I’ll take your share up for you!’.

‘Actually, Kagome-sama, I have to tell you something… It also concerns the others as well…’. They turned to her and gave her a confused and nervous look. Mineko took a deep breath before she continued. ‘Before… When someone knocked on the door… It was Keizo. He came to tell us that… that… Lord Sesshomaru… That Lord Seshomaru is getting mated to the imposter tomorrow. Kagome-sama, it doesn’t mean anything! He just…’.

‘Mineko-san, I thank you for your concern, but I’m fine with it. Like I said before, if Kikyo can make Sesshomaru feel so good that he would want to mate with her, that’s fine with me…’. Kagome smiled, ‘I’m happy for him. It would have pained me more to see him alone’. Despite Kagome’s smile and words, they knew that she was pained beyond imagination.

The quiet rabbit demon spoke up, ‘I’ve got few bottles of wine in my secret cupboard… I guess we can have our own little feast down here…’. Mineko smiled, ‘Yes! That’s what we’ll do. We shall drink ourselves silly, set our alarm clocks and sleep! Onwards with the plan!’.

As Kagome laid in bed, listening to others’ never-ending giggling, she thought to herself, ‘I guess it’s really time to let go of Sesshomaru. As mom always said, don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened’. Kagome blinked furiously, trying to stop the tears from coming. She wiped her eyes and then looked around. The others in the room were either asleep, or so drunk that they wouldn’t have noticed if the room had exploded.

After gathering her belongings, she wrote a brief note explaining where she had gone. Looking back at the new friends that she would be leaving behind, Kagome left, hoping that she would someday see them again, but under different circumstances.


Sesshomaru wandered around his grounds, looking for something to take his frustrations out on. He would have given anything, just to have life go back to what it was like with Kagome. ‘Where are you, my dear Kagome?’. At that moment, Kagome was hiding behind a tree, her hand trying to cover her crying. Sesshomaru sensed something in the trees and quickly sent out a whip of light.

Fleeing as quickly as she could, Kagome noticed that she just ended up running back to his castle instead of leaving. She sighed, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to run away today. Making her way back to the room, Kagome decided that if she wanted to let go of Sesshomaru for sure, then she would have to stop running away from her problems and face the truth, no matter how hard it was take.

The stoic lord looked at the tree where the intruder had hidden. The footprints in the grass were small, and faint, meaning that the demon that hid there was quite small. Sesshomaru growled at the thought of someone being able to get through his barrier. He sniffed the tree, hoping to catch the scent of who it was. His eyes widened as he realized that it was Kagome’s scent. ‘Kagome… She’s here… I must find her…’.

Kikyo paced around the room, unable to sleep at all. Sesshomaru had not only make her bathe in the guards’ room, but also told her to sleep with them as well. Thunderous snores filled the room, making Kikyo even more agitated. Just when she thought things couldn’t get any worse, Seshomaru entered the room, and he did NOT look very happy.

He headed straight for Kikyo, grabbing her neck then ramming her against the wall. ‘Who are you, and what the hell do you think you’re doing, pretending to be my mate?’. ‘Let go… of me…’. Kikyo could see his eyes bleeding red, showing how serious he was. ‘Tell me now…’, his grip on her neck tightening. Kikyo smirked at him and said in a mocking voice, ‘I’ll never… tell’.


Mineko woke up with a splitting headache. ‘Oh gods… What the hell happened last night… I feel terrible…’. She sniffed the air and was greeted by a delicious aroma. Still half asleep, Mineko wandered towards where the smell was coming from. As soon as she opened the kitchen door, her eyes popped wide open at the scene before her.

Kagome was stirring a large pot, filled with soup. On the table, there was enough food to feed an army. ‘Kagome-sama! Did you make all of this?!?’. Kagome smiled, ‘Yup! I woke up very early in the morning, and couldn’t fall asleep anymore, so I decided to start preparing the food for today… Is something wrong, Mineko-san?’.

‘Kagome-sama… Are you okay with this?...’. ‘Yesterday night, I realized that I would never be able to leave Sesshomaru unless I can accept the fact that he is with Kikyo now. So, I thought that I could personally make his mating ceremony feast, as my parting gift to him’. ‘Do you still love him?’, Mineko asked quietly. Kagome nodded, ‘I still love him with all my heart and I probably will for the rest of my life, but I’m willing to give him up if that is what will bring him happiness’.

‘But it doesn’t bring him happiness! He still loves you with all his heart, and would do anything to have you back. I understand that what I say may not change your mind, but if you truly love him, shouldn’t you tell him the truth instead of deceiving him?’. Kagome looked down, ‘Someday… I will tell him the truth, but right now, I’m just going to leave things the way they are. I can’t explain myself, but…’.

Mineko knew that she had gone too far. ‘I’m sorry, Kagome-sama. I understand what you’re doing, and apologize for my sudden burst. I hope you can forgive me’. Kagome smiled, ‘I can forgive you on one condition…’. Mineko looked at her, wondering what she had in mind. ‘…If you help me with the rest of the dishes and take them up for me’. Sighing in relief, she walked over and began to help. ‘I would have done that for you anyways!’.


Sesshomaru couldn’t contain his anger and frustration. ‘’How dare she pretend to be Kagome… She is the one who took Kagome away… I’ll kill that bitch… No… Not until I get some answers…Then… I will tear her apart…’.

He sat down and rubbed his temples, trying to control his temper. ‘Why does my beast tell me to search for this… ‘Kagome’ demon… Was she really THAT important to me? And what are the emotions that I feel for her? Is she really worth all this trouble?...’.

‘Naraku… I hope you have a plan to get me out of these chains…’, Kikyo said furiously to the half-demon. ‘And what IF I don’t?... It’s not like you could do any better by getting rid of me, bitch. Your endless talking, whining, bitching and complaining is enough to kill anyone of these guards. Why don’t you try, and give me some peace and quiet instead’.

‘You know what, Naraku? I can’t stand anymore of your ‘I can’t think if you’re always talking to me’. I let you into my body, on the sole condition that you would help ME. Now, I have finally realized that you are doing all this for yourself… I think its about time you went to sleep… forever’.

With that said, she forced his soul out of her body, seeing it disappear before her eyes. ‘Now… If only I could get out of these damn chains…’, she muttered to herself. At that very moment, Keizo walked in, his eyes narrowing at her. ‘Kikyo… That’s your name right? You look just like Lady Kagome… Yet you are so different… I’m surprised that you thought Lord Sesshomaru would fall for you’.

‘Kagome… That bitch came back didn’t she? She really is a sucker for love. First Inuyasha, now Sesshomaru… That whore doesn’t stop, does she?’. Keizo cracked a leather whip against the floor, and glared at her with pure malice. ‘You. Will. Not. Speak. Of. Lady. Kagome. With. Such. Disrespect’. To emphasize what he said, he whipped her with all his strength after each word.

‘Keizo. That is enough. I will finish this off’. The soldier turned around to see an emotionless Sesshomaru. ‘Yes my Lord’, he replied, and began to leave. ‘No… You will stay. I have some questions for you as well…’.

Turning his attention back to Kikyo, ‘Kikyo… So that’s your name… Come to think of it… That useless hanyou used to have a wench by the name of Kikyo… Tell me, what are you doing here?’. Kikyo refused to answer, which Sesshomaru merely narrowed his eyes at. He whipped her hand off, and saw the souls she had stolen, escape.

‘Clay… It’s all starting to make sense. You and another useless half demon… Naraku… Yes… Well, it looks like I don’t have any use for you anymore…’. With that, he sliced through her clay body, breaking it in to smithereens. ‘Now… On to you, Keizo’.

Kagome collapsed on a chair, exhausted. 'Who would've thought cooking could be THIS tiring...'. Mineko chuckled to herself, 'Yes... We've gotten used to it though, having to cook for Lord Sesshomaru's humongous appetite 3 times a day'. After a moment of silence, Mineko cautiously asked, 'So... Kagome-sama... Will you... be staying with us then? It would be awfully boring without you...'.

The demoness thought about it for a moment then replied, 'Yes... I think I'll stay... but I will have to leave once in a while, to visit my family'. Mineko smiled, 'You'll be going back to the future, right? Bring some goodies back for us!!!'. Kagome laughed, seeing Mineko act just like Shippo-chan. 'Okay... okay... I'll bring something back for all of you'.


~In Kaede's Village~

'Sango... Miroku... When is Kagome going to come back and visit us? I haven't seen her in ages!... Why did she have to leave?... Does she not like us anymore?...'.

The slayer and monk sighed, trying to block out the little fox demon's endless whining. They had heard rumors about Kagome leaving Sesshomaru, all of which they had hoped to be false. 'Shippo-chan, Kagome is... very busy right now, and she can't come to visit us. Don't worry though, I'm sure she'll find some time later...', Sango said in a comforting voice.

Shippo wiped the tears from his eyes, and sniffed sadly. Suddenly, he jumped up and looked around curiously. 'I smell... Inuyasha...'. Sango and Miroku looked around and soon enough, they saw Inuyasha, running towards them with a... smile on his face.

When he reached them, he quickly burst out, 'Guess what?! I have a shot with Kagome again! She and Sesshomaru...'. He only got that much out before Sango punched him with an iron fist. 'How could you say that, Inuyasha? You know how much they loved each other... Something must have happened... A misunderstanding... Otherwise they wouldn't have...'.

The half-demon growled, 'That's bullshit. Sesshomaru didn't know how to take care of Kagome, so she dumped him. It's that simple. It has nothing to do with 'misunderstandings'... Plus, I thought you were on my side... How come you're so concerned about Sesshomaru?'.

Sango sighed out of anger and frustration. 'You baka! This has nothing to do with sides! I'm concerned about Kagome-chan. She loved Sesshomaru so much, and he also treated with the respect and care she never got from you! She wouldn't give all that up over some little thing...'.

'And I thought you were still my friends. Looks like the bastard has you guys wrapped around his pinky. What did he do? Bribe you? Then again, I don't really want to know...'. Without another word, he left, leaving them to wonder what just happened.

Miroku finally said, 'I wonder what crawled up his ass this morning...'. Sango managed a small smiled, but remained silent, the same with Shippo. 'I think... it's about time we paid Lord Sesshomaru a little visit...'.

~In the Western Lands~

Keizo watched as Sesshomaru got ready to whip him. Suddenly, the lord stopped, and clenched his head. 'Why... do you want... Kagome........ You want her too.... NO!!! I... WILL NOT... BE WEAKENED......... You need her... NO!!!'.

As soon as the soldier saw the lord talking to himself, he understood what was happening. 'So... Sesshomaru's beast wants Kagome... but he doesn't... Gods... Please let his beast win...', Keizo thought to himself.

Sesshomaru continued to argue with his beast, his eyes flashing from yellow to red, then back again, continuously. Without a warning, Sesshomaru let out an ear-splitting roar, and was surrounded by blinding white light. As soon as the light disappeared, Keizo looked over to where Sesshomaru stood before, and was stunned.

Laying there, were two muscular forms, exactly identical. Keizo knew them to be Sesshomaru and his beast, separated into two forms. There had only been two other cases where demons separated themselves from their beasts known to demons. Not knowing what to do, he carefully moved towards the form, which was still partially covered, hoping that it was Sesshomaru, NOT his beast.

'Lord Sesshomaru... Are you okay...?'. There was a soft groan from Sesshomaru’s beast, and within a blink of an eye, it was standing on all fours, his red eyes glaring at Keizo. ‘Soldier… You will take me to my mate now… Or else you and the other Sesshomaru… Let’s just say, that you two will not exist anymore’.

Kagome hummed softly to herself as she and Mineko put the finishing touches on the food. ‘I wonder when the ceremony is going to start…?’, Kagome said to herself. ‘It should start in about an hour. Once we’re done here, let’s go take a soothing bath. There’s rarely anyone there at this time, so we can relax in peace’.

After cleaning up the kitchen, Kagome got her towel and bathing supplies, then followed Mineko. She had never been down to the servant’s headquarters, but she noticed that it was in pretty good condition and also had paintings hanging on the walls.

Kagome eventually became so absorbed in the paintings that she barely heard Mineko scream for her to move. By the time she realized what had happened, it was too late. She had been swept up by a strong, muscular form, and was being carried away out of the castle. She tried to look over at who it was, but her hair got in the way.

‘Argh! Let go… of me!’, the demoness yelled in anger. Her claws scratched the kidnapper, but the only response she got was a low growl. Hearing that, Kagome’s eyes widened as she realized who it was. ‘Sessho…maru…’.

After a few minutes of traveling, they stopped at a clearing and Sesshomaru dropped Kagome on the ground. ‘Sess…’, was all she managed to get out before he captured her lips and silenced her. She got lost in the inferno of his mouth for a while, but then realized that it was not going as it was supposed. Pushing him off, she crawled away from him as quickly as she could.

‘No… Sesshomaru… We… I can’t be with you anymore…’. Unfortunately, Sesshomaru’s beast would hear nothing of it, and just pounced back on her, tearing off her clothing. He held her arms down, and looked her over. ‘Mmm… You’re still that beautiful goddess I claimed as my own…’. His lips quickly captured her breasts, making her moan, despite her efforts to get away.

‘Stop trying to get away… You know that you want it…’. He held her hands down with one hand while the other one pinched her nipples. His thumb rubbed the tip of rosy bud of her right breast while his mouth suckled on her left. ‘I can smell your arousal, Kagome…’. He left her breasts, and instead, moved down to his manhood. Freeing it from its confines, he gave it a few strokes, and decided to try something new.

The demoness shrieked with joy as she felt him push two fingers into her core and run his thumb over her sore clit. ‘You want more… don’t you?’. He removed his fingers, grabbed Kagome’s hand and moved it to her wet inferno. ‘Can you feel how wet you are? You want more… Satisfy your need…’.

Embarrassed, but too frightened to disobey him, Kagome moved her finger to her clit and slowly began to rub it. ‘That’s right… Put a finger into yourself while you do that… I can guarantee you that it’ll feel good…’. Watching her play with herself, Sesshomaru’s beast began to stroke his huge member. When he heard her moan, he thought he would release right then and there, but he held it back.

Sesshomaru’s beast moved towards her and rubbed the head of his manhood against her core. Kagome’s body moved on its own, thrusting her hips down on to his erection. ‘Oh… You’re so tight, my sweet goddess’. Moving her hands aside, he thrusted continuously into her hot, tight passages, making her moan in desire.

His claws made long, bloody marks on her body, scarring her flawless skin. ‘You sound, feel, and smell amazing… Gods…’, whispered to her. Kagome shuddered at the sound of his voice. Somehow, it scared her because it didn’t sound like what she remembered his voice to be like, but strangely enough, it was familiar… Kagome didn’t want this to be happening, but it was. Kagome wanted to resist, but seeing the state that Sesshomaru was in, she didn’t know if she would still be alive after going against his demands.

All thoughts were erased from her mind as she could feel her climax approaching swiftly. ‘You like having me inside of you, don’t you? I want to hear you beg me, tell me how much you want this!’.

‘Sesshomaru… Please… Go faster…’, she said in a breathless voice. He moved in and out of her with demonic speed, unable to take much more. He let out an enormous roar and spilled his seed inside of her, her walls still clenching his member. He slid out of her and watched as she panted, trying to catch her breath. ‘Hurry up and get your energy back… We’ve got LOTS more to do…’.

Mineko paced nervously in the kitchen, unable to do a single thing. ‘Oh… I hope Kagome-sama is okay… Lord Sesshomaru sure as hell looked maniacal when he ran out with her’. When the door knocked, Mineko nearly fell off her chair in her hurry to answer it.

Behind the door stood a sorry looking Keizo, who did NOT look like he had good news. ‘Oh boy… I’d better sit down, this does not look good…’. After hearing the situation, Mineko sat in silence, not believing a single word. ‘Huh… Bad luck seems to keep following the couple… Let’s just hope that whatever doesn’t kill them, only makes them stronger…’. Keizo nodded sadly, hoping that things couldn’t get any worse.

‘Oh my god! I just got a brilliant idea! It’ll require some REALLY good acting though… I think we’ll manage…’, Mineko replied with an evil glint in her eye.
