Chapter Thirteen


Kimi sat down on her blanket after eating some fish Ginta had brought her. She'd stared at the fish when he'd expected her to eat it raw. At seeing her horrified expression he quickly started a fire and made a spit for her dinner. Kouga hadn't been seen in the last two hours, not like she cared. His comment earlier had irked her, 'How dare he accuse me of being Ginta's woman. Just because some one was nice to me doesn't mean I wanna get jiggy with em. Stupid arrogant wolf has some serious personality issues.' What was she going to do, not even twenty-four hours and she was ready to choke him. She had to give him snaps, he was hotter than all the guys she'd went to school with. Very masculine legs that made her want to run her hand up his thighs and squeeze. So what if he was cute, all those good looks were ruined the moment he opened his mouth. She could find herself being attracted to him. It was a damn shame he'd been born blessed with a set of vocal cords. It was obvious that Ginta had a small crush on her. He wasn't too bad looking and seemed really nice but for her there was no spark, no attraction. Nope, her luck had held true, she was attracted to the jerk instead of the nice guy.

The sun was begining to set, Socks was sleeping peacefully beside her, unaware of his master's inner tormoil. She decided to get up and take a short walk to clear her mind then come back for some much needed rest. No one seemed to be walking about, that she could spot anyway. She stood on the cliff she had occupied earlier and looked out into the valley. Somewhere out there was her family and they were searching for her, she knew. Should she stay where she was or try to find them, maybe if she stayed in one spot long enough her mother would sense the jewel half she carried. Inuyasha was half demon after all, he had to know what direction she had been carried.

"What are you doing out here?" Kouga walked up to the girl that had been in his thoughts since he'd seen her in his friend's arms. "You should be inside where its safe."

She rose an eyebrow at the last comment, "In that case shouldn't you be inside also? After all it is kind of windy, we don't want that over inflated head of yours to take flight."

"Heh," he stopped at her side only a few inches seperated them. "So, what are you doing out here?"

'Is he trying to strike up a conversation? No Way! Okay, I can do this, I can be nice if I want to.' She turned her face towards him, "Just thinking of my family, they must be worried about me. Specially my mother, shes kind of overprotective if you know what I mean."

"Have any siblings?" he was curious about where she had come from and now was a good time to get some of his answers.

"Yes, a twin sister, her name is Michiko. But she's nothing like me as different as night and day. Not only in looks," a laugh escaped her. "It's probably a good thing its me here and not her or you'd have every male demon in your clan trying to get in your cave. I have always envied her, shes very beautiful and could charm any man. Kind of sucks being the plain sister."

He couldn't believe she thought herself as plain, she was very beautiful and very desirable. He felt his body react to confirm his thoughts. "You aren't too bad on the eyes."

"Excuse me, but are trying to give me a compliment? Thanks, I think." Okay, so he didn't say she was beautiful, or pretty, or even cute for that matter but at least he hadn't called her ugly. She smiled at him, "You aren't too bad yourself either." She turned and left him standing there but before entering the cave she called over her shoulder, "Oh, yeah have I mentioned, you have a very nice ass too?"


Inuyasha stopped, calling to the others, "Lets stop here for the night, no need to go any further its starting to get dark." They had travelled a few more hours after Sesshomaru had joined the group. Some progress had been made, at this pace they'd be in the mountains within a few days. The hanyou was still worried about running into his arch rival before they found her daughter. If the worst happened they might need to seek the wolf out for his help.

Michiko was so glad when they stopped to call it a night, she wasn't sure how much more she would have been able to take. One would have thought riding on some hot guys back would of been a thrill but her legs were aching. Usually, when someone gave you a piggy back ride they'd hold your legs to help support you. She'd had to hold onto him like a leach fearing she'd fall off and break her ass. Not once did his hands travel down to help hold her on, forcing her to squeeze her thighs around his middle like a vise-grip. After several hours, they felt like jelly. Several times the thought of grabbing fistfuls of that long pretty hair of his had crossed her mind. Not once had he asked about her comfort, he might be a hunk but he was no gentleman. She could hear the other's carrying conversations around her and she'd been forced to have a silent one amongst herself and the back of his head. "Mom, I need to stretch my legs I won't go far." A nod was all she got in reply.

She walked into the woods and kicked at imaginary things. A sigh escaped her lips, she'd been about to turn around and return when she heard a noise to her far left. A green little man came running out the bushes wielding a staff taller than he was.

Jaken had finally caught up to his Lord, he could smell him not too far now. He finally cleared the bushes and came upon a human girl. A weird looking girl but a human none the less, "get out of my way, human." He pointed his staff towards her and huffed out his chest.

"What did you just say? Who do you think you are telling me what to do, Kermit?" The green little toad had worse manners than the beefcake. She drew her katana, "I would hit you but you look like the ugly stick already had a field day on your face."

"You dare call me ugly, you stinking human." He charged her, he'd be damned if the human got away with insulting him.

"Pathetic," she knocked the staff out of his hand and had him pinned on the ground before he could blink. Her boot was buried in his throat, his little three fingers tried to pry the offending appendage off.

"Jaken," Sesshomaru had heard his retainer's high pitched voice and decided to fetch him. He never expected to find him flat on his back. "What is going on?"

'Great Mr. Ice knows him,' she removed her foot but didn't replace her weapon. "Your friend needs to learn some manners."

"My Lord, that pathetic human attacked your faithful servant, she did. She tried to kill me for no reason." Jaken grabbed his staff
and ran to his Lord's side. 'Hmph, that ugly human would soon be shown the error of her ways.' He watched Sesshomaru turn to address the girl.

"If he is insolent again, kill him."

"What, my lord, would you let that human girl kill your servant?" Jaken followed behind him not believing what he'd just heard.
He turned around to see the human staring at Lord Sesshomaru, and at his backside to be exact. The disgrace of it all.


Kouga stayed until the moon was high in the sky and the weather forced him inside. He walked in his cave to find her already asleep on her side. The fire had died out some time ago it would seem and the girl was shivering in her sleep. He examined what he assumed was her blanket, it probably didn't give much protection from the cold. She would surely catch a cold if he left her how she was. He walked over to her side and bent down to retrieve her. Instantly her new pet started to growl and show teeth, "Shut up, you stupid mutt I'm not going to hurt her. DOWN!" Much to Kouga's suprise the beast listened and returned to his laying position. He layed her down on his furs as gently as possible, he didn't want to wake her.

After seeing she was comfortable he layed down beside her drawing her close to him. Her shivering soon stopped but he didn't push her away as he'd first planned. Instead he buried his face in her neck inhaling her scent, his body instantly reacted. He placed his hand on her hip and fitted her to his body. His manhood was pressing into her backside but he had no control over it. He raised his hand to stoke her cheek figuring it was safer for him to keep it above the waist.

Kimi felt something tickling her neck and tried to ignore it, she felt very comfortable and cozy. She was almost back asleep when she felt something hard probe her backside and she was instantly awake. 'What the hell was that or do I even wanna know?' She felt a hand land on her cheek and begin to stroke her almost tenderly. She opened her eyes, turned her head and came face to face with the man she'd been trying not to think about. Her mouth opened to speak but was cut off before she could get a word out.

He sensed it when she woke up, he watched as she turned her head to look up at him. Her mouth opened to scold him more than likely. He brought his head down closing the distance. The instant his lips claimed hers a jolt tore down his spine causing him to shiver. He heard her gasp and ran his tongue across her lips seeking entrance. She complied by opening her mouth and bringing her tongue up to meet his.

Kimi almost went into shock when she realised that Kouga was actually kissing her. After several boyfriend's she was no stranger to kissing and opened her mouth to kiss him back. She brought her hand up and placed it at the back of his neck. She started rubbing the back of his neck, making small circles with her thumb. Every nerve in her body was alive, and she felt heat start to pool in her lower abdomen. She moaned as she ran her tongue over one of his fangs. His tongue caught hers again sending another jolt of heat through her body. She felt his hand land on her waist and make its way to her hip pulling her against him.

He pulled away from her mouth and looked into her eyes, that were cloudy with passion. The smell of her arousal was tempting him to take her. He longed to bury himself deep inside her and claim her as his. Instead he reached down grabbed some furs and covered them both up. "Go back to sleep."

'Go to sleep thats all he has to say after that? What an asshole, he probably thought it was funny when I kissed him back like some horny school girl. Was he trying to prove a point by kissing me?' Thoughts were running through her mind and it was a long time before sleep claimed her.
