Chapter Fourteen: Repetition

Yo! Hey I am back. So who emailed me to give me suggestions? I’ll tell you who, nobody!
Sorry I am in a bad mood today. Damn Cat. There he goes attacking my leg again.
Here is the chapter.
(By the way, did anyone check out Dark Fated???)

Here you go.
Wait!
Disclaimer: Inuyasha is not mine. But I do wish Sesshoumaru was. (Or that I was his. Either way suits me^_^)
----------------------------------------------------

They watched in horror as her back arched and her fangs grew to twice their size, as did her claws. Her eyes turned a feral red, and her hair floated around her.
She let out a growl that made everyone but Sesshoumaru back up. He, on the other hand, stepped closer.
“Mother…”
“GO!” She roared before she let out an evil little laugh. She stood facing him, her bangs shadowing her eyes. Her hair still floated slightly around her. She was laughing, and the laugh sent shivers up their spines.
Sesshoumaru, however, was only angrier.
“What did he do to you?” He growled quietly.
She stood there, quietly, and slightly off balance, as Naraku walked to her side.
“Naraku! What did you do to her?!” Inuyasha yelled. Everyone poised for battle.
He laughed. “Now Inuyasha, you wouldn’t want to fight her would you?”
Inuyasha growled.
“Mother!” Sesshoumaru yelled. He glared at Naraku, his eyes turning red.
She looked up with blood red eyes, smiling. He took a step back.
Kagome then realized that this was what happened to Kyoko in her dream. The same bloodthirsty look, the same appearance.
Kyoko suddenly turned her head towards her. She smiled a strange, maniacal smile. Kagome’s eyes widened and she took a step back.
‘The dream. Wait! The Shikon Shard! If I hit it with an arrow it will fall out and be purified. But, I have to aim right, because if I miss, it will purify Kyoko.’
Without anyone noticing, Kagome drew an arrow and took out her bow.
“You see, she fights for me now. Now, my puppet, go.” Naraku said, smirking.
She charged towards Inuyasha, claws raised. He prepared to dodge the attack, but she didn’t use her claws. She landed behind him, launching herself and sinking her long fangs into his shoulder.
He grimaced, and threw her off. Sesshoumaru was frozen. He couldn’t hurt his mother!
Sango threw Hiraikotsu at her, and she caught it, breaking the giant boomerang in half and throwing it back. Sango caught the two pieces in shock.
Miroku then threw a demon sealing scroll at her head, and it stuck to her forehead. However she ripped it off and attacked him. He blocked her with his staff.
“Sesshoumaru are you going to help us?!” Miroku yelled at the frozen Taiyoukai.
‘I can’t hurt her…’
Kagome, in the meantime, pointed her arrow at a spot in the air, calculating when she would hit the right spot. She shot the arrow, and just as the arrow flew, Kyoko happened to be in that spot.
‘But how did I know?’
Time seemed to slow as Kyoko charged, and the arrow flew towards the spot she would be. And it hit. The arrow hit the Shard directly, causing it to fall out. She stumbled a little, before falling. Sesshoumaru caught her.
“Sesshoumaru, I am—sorry, my son.” She fell asleep. Sesshoumaru closed his eyes, and when he opened them, they were blood red. He glared at Naraku, first giving his mother to Inuyasha to carry (Much to his dislike).
He walked to about ten feet in front of Naraku.
“Now Sesshoumaru, you should control that temper of yours, now shouldn’t you.”
“SHUT UP!” Sesshoumaru growled. ‘No one messes with my mother and lives!’
Naraku laughed. Sesshoumaru charged toward him, slicing his head off.
The wooden puppet lie on the ground, in two. Sesshoumaru growled.
“You come out you filthy being!” Sesshoumaru yelled.
There was a laugh all around them, and Naraku said,
“I think not. I will be back for her.”
Sesshoumaru growled, but calmed down when he heard his mother’s voice.
“Sesshoumaru, come here.”
He ran over to her, taking her from Inuyasha and setting her on the ground against a tree.
“Yes mother?”
“I want to be taken back to the castle, but,” She said, pausing, “They are coming too.”
Sesshoumaru’s eyes widened. “But mother—“
“Don’t question my request Sesshou.” Inuyasha laughed quietly at Sesshoumaru being told what to do by his mother, but stopped when Sesshoumaru glared at him. “I could care less if Inuyasha came or not, but Kagome is coming. And I am willing to bet that they will want to come with her.”
Sesshoumaru looked at Kagome. She nodded. “Of course.”
She was happy that Kyoko was not angry at her.
They headed back to the castle, Kyoko eventually having enough strength to walk on her own. The trip was silent, but no one minded.
But then Kagome broke the silence by asking, “How much longer, my feet are tired.”
Sesshoumaru said quietly, "Pathetic human.” But Kyoko elbowed him in the side lightly.
“We are almost there.” She answered. Inuyasha stopped and let Kagome get onto his back, and they continued.
When they reached the castle, everyone except Kyoko, Sesshoumaru, and Inuyasha ga.
“.
“It’s huge!” Kagome exclaimed. Kyoko smiled.
As they went inside, Kagome thought it was the most beautiful castle she had ever seen.
“Wow.” Both she and Sango said at the same time.
“Come with me, Kagome, Sango and Shippo. I will show you your rooms. Sesshoumaru, can you please show Inuyasha and Miroku their rooms?” She stopped and turned around. “Try not to kill each other.” She walked away, and Kagome, Shippo, and Sango followed her. Sesshoumaru walked off to get rid of Inuyasha and Miroku in their own rooms.
They soon reached a room which Sango was told was hers. When they walked inside, Sango gasped.
“Oh thank you it is beautiful!” She exclaimed.
“You think this is beaut? We? Well I couldn’t imagine you in a room like mine then.” Kyoko laughed.
Kagome realized that Inuyasha had been right. Kyoko had nothing against Kagome, Sango, Shippo, and Miroku. Only Inuyasha.
Kyoko, Kagome, and Shippo went to the next room over, which was Kagome’s room. Kagome looked around the room. It was like Sango’s except bigger, and there were a few paintings on the wall. Every thing that was made from cloth was silk in different shades of blue. There was a balcony, and it was framed by curtains.
“Wow.”
Kyoko smiled sadly. “This is the room I stayed in when I first came to this castle. Inutaisho’s parents would not let me stay in his room.”
Kagome nodded and went to lay down on the extremely comfortable bed.
Kyoko smiled and left, a tear running down her cheek. She wiped it away angrily.
‘It seems that you still control my heart Inutaisho.’
She went to her room.

Kagome looked at the three paintings on the wall.
One was of Kyoko, about 16 years old, and someone she could only guess was Inutaisho.
The second was Kyoko as a child, she guessed.
The third was a child Sesshoumaru.
‘Oh! He is sooo cute as a little kid!’
She thought that, because she knew if he heard her he would probably rip her to shreds.
She layed down on her bed, thinking, when there was a knock on her door.
“Come in.”
The door opened and a person she guessed was a servant walked in.
She bowed. “My name is Sukiam Lam Lady Kyoko’s personal servant. She sent me to come get you, and bring you to her room.”
Kagome nodded and followed Suki down the long halls of the castle. Soon they reached a door decorated with carvings.
As they walked in, Kagome immediately thought she had never seen a room so beautiful. The walls were pale blue, and everything in the room was different shades of blue, except the fireplace, which was black. There were about four doors leading off of it to who knows where, and there were various paintings on the walls. Kyoko was sitting on her bed.
“Kagome, please sit.” She said to her, nodding to a chair next to her bed.
Kagome sat in it and Suki left, bowing as she did.
“Kagome, I must apologize. I know that you felt the pain that I went through when Naraku raped me. But you must have felt it worse that I, as you are human, a young one no less.”
“It’s okay, I know Naraku must have forced you to hold on to the shard.” Kagome replied, smiling.
Kyoko shook her head. “No Kagome, it is not okay. He did force me, but that could happen anytime. It is very dangerous to have me here, and as soon as my tasks are done, I shall leave.”
‘Does she mean--?’ “Kyoko do you mean you will kill yourself again?”
Kyoko nodded. “I have no choice. I have found a spell that will break the bond, but only for a moment. In that moment, I will do it. I am sorry, but I cannot endanger you Kagome. You have too much to live for.”
Kagomeyeseyes widened. “But you have a lot to live for, too! Sesshoumaru would be devastated! He loves you so much that he even carried me on his back to protect you!”
Kyoko sighed. “Sesshoumaru is strong. He has been strong since my death, and I trust that he will continue to be. However, me being alive, is putting him in danger. He is focused on protecting me, not on anything else, and many people are after me. People who are much stronger than him.”
Kagome sighed too. She couldn’t think of anything else. So… “What are the tasks you mentioned?”
Kyoko smiled. “You will find out Kagome. That is, if you choose to help me.”
Kagome nodded. “Of course I will. You are my friend.”
“Thank you. Suki will bring you back to your room. She will also awaken you for breakfast.”
Kagome nodded, and as if on cue, Suki walked in, bowing.
Kagome followed Suki back to her room, looking at the many paintings along the way.
When she reached her room, she layed on her bed, staring up at the ceiling.
“Should I tell someone? No, that would be a break of trust. I’m sure no one else is supposed to know.” She nodded. “Yeah, I won’t tell anyone.” ‘Why am I talking to a ceiling?’
She fell asleep thinking. ‘I wonder what those tasks are.’

Kyoko…

Kyoko sat up in her bed, breathing heavily. She had another dream about the past, with Inutaisho.
She looked outside. It was midnight.
She looked in the mirror, as it was positioned near her bed. She brought her hand up to the mark at the base of her neck.
“Why can I not forget you? Why do I have to revive you?”
She cried into her hands, making sure not to wake anyone up in the quiet castle who had good hearing.

Sesshoumaru…

Sesshoumaru stared up at the ceiling, laying in bed, trying not to hear his mother’s crying.
‘She does this every night.’
“Maybe reviving him will be a good idea, if only for a minute. She needs to talk to father, she needs to try to forget him.’

Kagome…

Kagome was woken by Suki the next morning. She dressed in a nice blue kimono layed out for her, and followed her to the dining room.
As she sat, everyone else was already there. It was a strange breakfast, as Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru would not talk to each other, and Sango and Miroku were arguing. The only ones really talking nice to each other were Kagome, Kyoko, and Shippo. Eventually Sango joined in, and Miroku talked to Inuyasha.
Tsomesomething happened that shocked everyone. Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Miroku were talking to each other! Even if it was about slaughtering Naraku, it was still conversation.
The girls started laughing at the strangeness of that.
After breakfast, was when the real trouble started.
“Kyoko, why do you look so off in lala land?” Inuyasha asked her.
Kyoko looked at him, not with a smile, but with a cold look.
“I still plan to revive Inutaisho, using my jewel shard.” She said simply.
Inuyasha growled and stood up, pounding his fists into the table.
Everyone looked at him, quiet.
“Kyoko you can’t DO THAT! If you use your jewel shard, it could suck the life from you to use to revive him!”
“Well I guess that is a chance I will have to take.” She said calmly.
He was becoming angry and frustrated. “Kyoko you don’t understand!”
She became very angry. Her eyes turned blood red, and she stood up, also pounding her fists into the table.
“YOU DARE TELL ME I DON’T UNDERSTAND?! DO YOU KNOW WHAT NOT SEEING INUTAISHO IS DOING TO ME?!” Tears filled her red eyes. “I CRY EVERY NIGHT, TRYING TO GET HIS FACE OUT OF MY HEAD, BUT I CAN’T! SO IF YOU DON’T WANT ME TO GO THEN TRY AND STOP ME!”
Inuyasha’s eyes widened. She calmed down and sat down, breathing heavily. Her eyes were fading back to their normal color.
Inuyasha growled and sat down. Sesshoumaru was glaring at him, but then looked at his mother.
‘You’re going to get yourself killed, Kyoko.’ Inuyasha thought.

Hey! So what do you think, is Kyoko going to die, or not?
Hmmmmm…I don’t think I even know.
Anyways, that was longer than normal I think. I think…wait…91,436 letters, not including spaces.
