Kagome woke up, warm and comfortable between the two half demons. She didn't want to get up, but she knew that they needed to get back to the others.
"Feh," Inuyasha let out after yawning.
"You've got such a vast vocabulary," Haruka teased.
"Watch it wench or you won't be able to walk for the rest of the day," Inuyasha growled. Haruka pressed her face hard up against his and the two half demons snarled and hissed at each other until the human that was sandwiched between them reached up and rubbed an ear.
"As much as I'd like to go at it again, we've got to get back to camp. I doubt Sesshomaru will tolerate having to but up with whatever Miroku is doing to Sango," Kagome explained and stopped rubbing.
"Damn, I'll be glad when Sesshomaru goes back home," Inuyasha grumbled and the trio gathered their clothes and dressed before heading back to camp.

He kept pulsing his demonic aura in order to let Tamoka know that it was him, but either the adolescent was paying attention, or she was so concerned with the human boy that she wasn't paying attention to his aura's pulsing.
"Damn! How could she have traveled so damn far!" Inuyasha ranted. "She's just a kid!"
"She's trying to keep the boy away from Naraku. The wasps have given up their pursuit but she doesn't feel any comfort in that," Sesshomaru answered. "If she is this fast as a young adolescent then she might be the fastest demoness of either dog or wolf pack. Most interesting."
"More like annoying!" Inuyasha returned.

She moved swiftly between the trees. She didn't know if those wasps were still after the boy that was on her back, but she couldn't stop to make a check of it. All she knew that was someone was chasing them and she didn't like it. The boy had tried to get away from her, but she had to knock him out every time he tried.
'He blames himself for everything and what Naraku does to him he sees as a way of atoning for his mistakes. If he wasn't gong to be my mate I'd kill him so he'd be put out of his misery!' she thought. The demonic aura got stronger and the wind shifted. Her nose then picked up a scent that she hadn't smelled in years.
'Sesshomaru? But he's...damn! I was sealed up for too long!' she thought and then turned into a cave. Hopefully, it would be her cousin that would find her instead of whoever was sending those wasps.

"The scent is getting stronger," Sesshomaru commented.
"Finally the kid slowed down!" Inuyasha shouted.

"I think that they are about to find him," Hakudoshi said to Kagura.
"Yes, we better get ready," the wind witch said. She knew that they couldn't turn against Naraku under these circumstances.

The spirit of Kikyou sighed. She was within the shard that had been within the body of the slayer boy. She then felt another presence. She turned to see...
"Are you...?"
"Yes, I am."
"Midoriko,"
"This must end."
"Yes, but how?"
"We must deny what Naraku wants."
"How?"
"Listen. Because of this jewel's existence, there has been a 1000 year time loop, give or take a few hundred years."
"Time loop?"
"Yes. The jewel's creation started it and Kagome choosing to live in this time every time the loop ends kept the loop going. The cycle must be broken."
"How?"
"We leave the jewel. That shall destabilize it and the spirit of the demon I fought will be forced out."
"Isn't that risky?"
"Once the demonic spirit is out, the Tenseiga will direct Sesshomaru and it will banish the spirit back to hell."
"Kagome?"
"Now marked, she can go to her time and Inuyasha will be there."
"Is there something else that you're not telling me?"
"Yes. A battle between Yokai and a demonic species known as kenyou(1) will take place. The final clash will be at Sekigahara, in the year 1600.

This fight will parallel a fight between two warring human factions. The final results will be that all who have demonic blood or are mated to a demon will die and the kenyou will become the dominate demonic species for some time until they end up slaughtering each other 50 years later."
"Goodness, but..."
"Haruka is the difference this time. She hasn't appeared in any loop before. When we leave the jewel, you will return to Kagome's body, and I shall allow the half tiger to have my soul."
"Why would you do that?"
"This way, on her human night, she'll have priestess powers. This might solve the problem of priestesses that can't have children whose father is demon."
"I see, but when shall we...?"
"Naraku will bring the rest of the jewel when he comes to collect the slayer boy. This will be the first time all the shards have been in one place. Once that happens, we leave."
"I understand."

"You could not tell that your Alpha was following you?" Sesshomaru questioned his cousin.
"Hey!" she protested. "I'm trying to protect my mate," she growled.
"An unmarked mate," Sesshomaru countered. "Now, why didn't you allow the humans to come and see him?"
"Naraku's been using him, smell," she offered and the dog bothers took a better sniff of the unconscious Kohaku.
"Fuck! She's right! Naraku has been using him for..." Inuyasha couldn't finish the statement.
"Rotten scum, just another reason for this Sesshomaru to execute that spider."
"What the fuck are we going to tell Sango?" Inuyasha asked.
"The monk should be told. He may be able to tell her while giving the woman a shoulder to let her emotion's out on," Sesshomaru suggested.
"Ahhh!"
Sesshomaru's reaction to his mate's cry was instant. He drew both Tenseiga and Bakusaiga and charged out of the cave.
"Stay here," Inuyasha said before drawing Tetsusaiga, "Naraku is here and you don't stand a chance against him," he finished and charged out as well.
'Don't worry, I'm not foolish enough to go up against that demon,' she thought and held Kohaku to her. She wasn't gong to let him go out there either.
