As The Hourglass Spins

Megan was placed in a wheelchair and taken by a rather attractive human male nurse named Paul to go do her tests. Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Lucian followed her partially because they were curious about this bone mending medication and the other reason was no one trusted Paul who was harmlessly flirting a bit with Megan.

Lucian was a bit upset when the technician for her x-rays came out and told him that he could not go in with Megan. Sesshoumaru told Lucian that they would see the x-rays after they were done since Hojo or Kagome would bring them into the family wing to show them what was happening with Megan’s ribs and bones.

The CAT scan was done and no one was allowed in that room either.

Than Megan was wheeled back into the family ward by Paul who left them all with a smile.

“I should kill that young one for ogling our mate Sesshoumaru.”

Lucian stated not happy that Paul had been flirting with Megan at all.

“Geeze, you just want to kill everyone in here so far Lucian and I thought that was Sesshoumaru’s job. Take the stick out of your ass and relax. Paul wasn’t doing anything that any other healthy young male might do. Besides, you probably won’t see him again after today since the guy is transferring to another hospital.”

Megan stated rather irritated at her mates for trying to scare off the young man. Paul wasn’t hurting anyone and her men were acting jealous again. It was no wonder Megan couldn’t make friends very often.

“That guy was like hanging all over you Megan so don’t get pissed off at us for being jealous. We are your mates ya know and that guy had better watch his ass.”

Inuyasha stated.

“Ya, you all get jealous over some poor human kid, but it is ok for Hojo to do whatever he wants to me. If you were going to smack anyone it should be Hojo.”

Megan retorted back at Inuyasha.

Sesshoumaru sighed.

“Hojo is family Megan and we have already taken care of the issues you have with him. Hojo really does not want me to ram my fist through his chest so give the guy a break.’
“I know you think that human boy was harmless, but he was indeed pushing his limits.”

Megan pouted a bit, but understood her males well enough to know that any male trying to come onto her would be lucky to keep their limbs since her mates would tear them off. She couldn’t even have a male friend without Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha causing all sorts of hell for any man that came near her who wasn’t her mate.

“Fine. I get it. Don’t talk to anyone male unless I want to have their limbs torn off.”

Sesshoumaru frowned.

“We are not that anal Megan.”

Inuyasha stated as he helped tuck Megan back into bed.

Soon Hojo came back into the room and posted up the x rays showing them all that Megan was almost completely healed. He also went over the CAT scan and found that everything was normal other than the small bump on the back of her head.

“Just for safety reasons I don’t want Megan to get out of bed until these last four ribs heal completely so I am scheduling a follow up appointment for tomorrow.”

Megan sighed. She didn’t want to be in bed all day long and she felt fine.

Sesshoumaru patted Megan’s hand and signed all the paperwork that was to go with them.

“Can I at least wash the blood out of my hair?”

Hojo smiled.

“I don’t see that being an issue.”

After Sesshoumaru filled out all the documents, he handed the papers that they were supposed to keep to Inuyasha and handed the rest to Hojo. Than Sesshoumaru pulled the covers off of Megan and lifted her into his arms.

Lucian followed his mates out to the limousine after asking Hojo if it would be acceptable for him to come back to study more on what new things were coming out to help demon kind. The whole trip had been fascinating to him although he was still in trouble for hurting Megan.

Sesshoumaru adjusted Megan on his lap to make her as comfortable as possible while Inuyasha pulled out a magazine to read.

Lucian sat back in his seat and relaxed a bit. He was glad that Megan was going to be fine, but he wasn’t happy with himself for losing control. Megan was right, this wasn’t the past and he had to adjust to the new ways of doing things even if it meant he might have to put up with his mates’ insubordination since it seemed to work for Sesshoumaru who wasn’t in the least perturbed by his mates’ strange behavior.

As the limousine pulled up to the mansion Sesshoumaru waited for Tahoe to open the door. Instead the door was opened by an angry teary eyed Tsukiya who wanted to know why her mate was still in a barrier since she believed Lucian forgot to let him out.

Sesshoumaru looked over at Lucian who seemed to take all that Tsukiya was saying in stride. He did not forget about the arrogant little black wolf cub. The boy needed discipline and Lucian would check on him soon enough.

“Lucian, you really should let Lycane out of the barrier since Lycane really won’t learn his lesson from you by your leaving him like this. The boy is a physical learner. He should be thoroughly pissed off at you enough so you can fight him so that he truly understands his place. It is the only way to get through to that hard headed boy.”

Sesshoumaru stated.

Lucian took in Sesshoumaru’s advice so he followed Tsukiya back to where he had left Lycane.
