chapter 12
“Whoa, who is this ‘Linnia’ that you are talking bout Kurama?”
“Linnia is the sister of the Goddess Inari that protects and watches over all Fox Demons. Linnia is the Messenger of her.” Kurama still looked at Shizuka in shock. “How… her?”

“InuYasha?” Hotaru walked over to him. “We got you a room for your self so you will be safe. Come!” she took his hand and led him. Her small hand could only grasp one of his fingers dragging him to his room. Kagome looked over at them and smiled seeing InuYasha’s confused face as he was practically being dragged by a 10 year old. Hotaru skipped as she pulled InuYasha into his own room. “You’ll be safe here you are in between the girls and guys so if anything happens we will be close to help you.” With saying that, she slipped out the door and closed it behind her.
“Shizuka… Shizuka?” Hotaru wandered down the hall looking for her when suddenly she was grabbed from behind. “SHIZUKA!!” the gang all jumped out of their rooms to see a black cloaked figure grab Hotaru. Shizuka ran as fast as she could after the man in black until his scent hit her nose.
‘No… It can’t be...’ The shock froze her for a moment but that was the only time the Kidnapper needed to disappear into a cloud of miasma. Kurama had smelt it as well.
“Kuronue….”
All that was left after the miasma cleared was a small note.
InuYasha…
By now you have already seen my newest addition to my collection of slaves. Kuronue… Your new friends might be able to fill you in on him. This is no trick I promise you. Kuronue is alive… but he shares the same fate as Sango’s little brother. Hotaru shall make a nice new slave. And a play mate for Kanna.

“That BASTARD” InuYasha punched a wall making his knuckles bleed.
“Umm… Who are you?” asked Yusuke to the new black haired human cursing in the hallway.
“What do you mean who am I?” InuYasha looked down at his hands. Cursing silently he had allowed more people to see that he turned mortal.
“That is InuYasha… on his mortal night… But Naruku has never left a note before…” Kagome said trying to change the subject.
While the others fought and talked about InuYasha and the note Shizuka finally allowed the shock to hit her and she fell to the floor with a thud.
“SHIZUKA!” Kurama scooped her up and sniffed her for any problems. Finding none he picked her up and carried her to a futon. Reaching into a small bag in his pocket he pulled out a seed and with his ki made it grow. The flower had such a pungent smell the others had to leave the room. Placing the foul smelling flower under her nose Shizuka bolted up wide eyed. Taking a look around the room Shizuka looked at Kurama and began to cry again. For the loss of Hotaru, the joy of her love being alive, the pain that she felt allowed her to fall asleep from tears. Kurama left her there with a determined look in his eyes. “Hiei! You go on ahead and look out for any signs of Hotaru. Yusuke you go with him. Kuwabara you stay with the rest of them and watch over Shizuka I need to see something for myself…” and with that Youko Kurama was out the window and out of sight.
