Just a Little Rivalry

Chapter 14: A New Home for A New Couple

Inu Yasha gave his dad a puzzled look before just coming out and asking what was going through the older man’s head.

“Didn’t you say that we were looking at an apartment? I don’t know if you realize this or not, but this is a house. A very nice house, but still a house-not an apartment.”

Inu Taisho smirked at the smart-ass comment his younger son gave him and decided that he would just have to talk to him sooner rather than later, but still without Kagome.

“Damn son. I think it may be time to find a new real estate agent. I think good old Lenny may need to retire since he can’t figure out the difference between an apartment and a house.”

Kuchoro snickered from the front seat. Listening to Inu Taisho with his sons, Inu Yasha in particular, was always a side splitting, milk shooting out of the nose experience. As they pulled up the drive, Kuchoro was pleased to see the outside of the brick house. There were windows, but the foliage around and under them would deter any hopes of entrance that way. The rose vines were loaded with thorns.

The doors were strong with a wrought iron door that had glass that opened at the top rather than the bottom as a screen door. With a few modifications here and there, the place would be very secure. Not to mention the fence they were planning. This place would have no problems with the upgrades in security that Inu Taisho had in mind.

Kagome walked around the house. There was a large kitchen with a breakfast nook and a bar situated in it. A nice dining room was situated through nice French double doors with beautiful curtains secured on either side of them. All five bedrooms and bathrooms attached to each were spacious and luxurious. The living room gave you a very warm and welcoming feeling with its fireplace. The den/study was just as warm and happy even with its wall of shelves that seemed as it was made for books and knickknacks.

Inu Yasha knew Kags was expecting an apartment, but really loved the house. She gave him a curious look but just shrugged it off. She knew something was worrying him; she just hoped that he wouldn’t let it go too far without telling her about it.

“Sango and Miroku would have to see this place. I bet she’ll beg to move in. We have been living together ever since we moved out of our parent’s house.”

“Well, if she moves in, then Miroku gets one of the other bedrooms.”

“That sounds like a deal to me.”

“We will have two guest bedrooms as well. That will be great.”

“Well, what if I wanted to use one of them as a game room?”

“Ugh, we will get settled before we really start deciding. We will have at least one guest room. This place is ginormous. I had no clue that we would be getting a place this large and nice as a place while we were finishing school.”

Inu Taisho smiled and shook his head. The couple was just so cute with the way they picked at each other and all. He approved of the mating and marriage. It paid homage to both of his sides and instincts. Sesshomaru would realize that and accept that they wish to honor everyone with their compromise.

Inu Taisho called Lenny, his real estate agent, on his cell and said to get everything started. He wanted keys and to get the kids settled a.s.a.p.

By Wednesday morning, the furniture was settled in, clothes were put into draws, closets, and shelves; books were in the study. A desktop and 3 in 1 printer was set up with a fax and wireless was in place for all the laptops. All utilities were on along with the upgrades near completion.

The two couples stepped into their new home, ready to spend their first night there. Sango had insisted on double-checking the lock on her door and windows. Even though, Kuchoro had the place checked for safety. She wanted to be sure that a certain perverted boyfriend could only get into her room if that was what she wanted.

Miroku jokingly let out a sad sigh. “Damn, my plan is foiled again.”

They were seeing each other exclusively, but weren’t too intimate yet.

Inu Yasha laughed at Miroku’s mock upset at the possibility of being denied access to his ladylove. He then turned to Kagome and put an arm around her shoulder.

“Why don’t we go check out our room now that we are moved into it. We can make sure that nobody else can get in there while we… play.”

Kagome turned red and smiled at him. She shook her head before saying, “I love games. What kind did you have in mind? I hope that is fun.”

He knew that she was teasing by playing ignorant just by the rosy flush that she was taking on.

“You want to find out about the game? Well, let me take you in there and start introducing you to the rules.”

Before she could even squeak, he had swept her up in his arms and ran into their bedroom.

Kagome decided to make it harder on him, though. She reached down and brushed her palm over his arousal and then kissed him on his neck. Inu Yasha barely made it to the bed before putting her down. He growled at her and she giggled.

She pulled him down and straddled his hips. His shirt was the first to go; she prevented him from retaliating in kind by sliding down to kneel between his legs to start removing shoes and socks. His pants followed quickly along with his boxers.

She smirked at him merrily, happy to have him at her mercy. She began to kiss the inside of his thighs, completely ignoring his hardening member. Inu Yasha was having trouble breathing; she was being adventurous.

After she had teased him a while, he had finally had enough. He grabbed the back of her hair and directed her mouth to his goal. His eyes were bleeding red, his ears changing; he was turning to demon and she had done that to him.

She looked up once she had him in her mouth and noticed the changes. Her snap decision was to do whatever he wanted her to do.

Inu Yasha was beyond control now. He wanted her to love him with her mouth but not for long. He reached his limit of endurance and pulled her off to situate her under him.

He began to sniff, nuzzle and lick her neck, giving it a quick kiss before nipping at the skin.

He pushed himself into her slowly trying to not end it too soon.

Once he was fully seated, his thrusts were slow and hard until she pushed her hips into his in a gesture of begging for more. She began to moan as he sped up his pace.

He spilled his seed into her with a loud roar of glee.

Kagome cuddled close to her red-eyed hanyou and sighed. She felt completed and exhausted. The two rested for a couple of hours before getting cleaned up and dressed.

All four new occupants were relaxing in the living room after they ate their supper of spaghetti (don’t laugh too hard Rell!). The doorbell disturbed their game of Clue.

Inu Yasha got up answered the door, shocked that the visitor was here at all.

Sesshomaru stood at the front door with Koga right beside him.

“Hello, brother. We were nearby and figured that we would check on you all and see the new place. I may even try to beg a couple days stay rather than check into a hotel. Will there be a problem with having me around a couple of days?”

Inu Yasha was just about to reply when he heard someone behind him say, “No, we would love to have you stay over, Sesshomaru. Come on in and I will show you to the guest room.”

Inu Yasha sent his mate a look that said he had intended to say no to his request; she shot one back that said that he was family and should be welcomed.

Sesshomaru came in and Koga pulled Kagome into a quick embrace before saying hey to Inu Yasha.

Inu Yasha merely nodded at the wolf demon in return and went to see why his brother was in town.

“Hey, why are you here anyway?”

“I have a meeting with the Board of Directors at the hospital. It seems that there are going to be some new procedures and dad wanted me to go in his place since we hold a position. That is all and should only last a couple of days. He wanted me to see how you all are doing and I figured this is better than a hotel here. I would like to get to know my new ‘sister’ and her friends.”

Inu Yasha had nothing to say to that; he just turned around and threw an invitation to watch a movie over his shoulder and went back to the living room to find everybody sitting around a Monopoly game.

“Will Sesshomaru be joining us down here?” Sango asked as they wiggled around and got comfortable while still having a place to lay out all of their money and property.

“I will be delighted, Sango,” the voice of the one in question answered.

Miroku sat next to Sango with Koga on her other side. Next to Koga sat Sesshomaru, who was next to Kagome and Inu Yasha taking his place on her other side. Inu Yasha was also next to Miroku.

Now that they were situated, money doled out; the game was ready to begin. They rolled their die to see who went first. Miroku was the one to start off the game and to rotate going Sango’s way.

The game was going smoothly with everybody having fun. Inu Yasha had even settled down and started to enjoy himself, which was a rarity while he was in his brother’s presence.

All were laughing and Sesshomaru was enjoying the scent that was rolling off of Kagome in waves. Her scent was laced with her apple shampoo and all, but her natural scent was something else. It was light and sweet. He couldn’t help leaning over to take as much of it in as possible.

At one point after all the property had been bought up, he had leaned over too far for the hanyou’s liking and had met with a growl. Kagome sent him a glare.

“Inu Yasha, chill out. He is only looking at the board. It is his turn next.”

Koga sent them a look. He could smell what was happening over there with the three. It seemed that Kagome was the only out of the three that was completely oblivious.

~*~ Sesshomaru’s POV ~*~

She’s my brother’s mate. He doesn’t want me smelling her, and he is extremely protective of this prize. I wonder how capable he is. I know he can sense the danger that is present to her. That is why he asked about security and all that. That is why he was set up with a very tall fence that includes guards and a house that is quite a bit back from the road.

Well, I have a few days to see how she responds to me. Father would be displeased if he heard my thoughts. Lusting after my brother’s mate without his permission is just horrible. Well, let him get upset. I am a better fighter, stronger and older.

~*~ Normal POV ~*~

Koga was the one that stood up and announced that it was quitting time. He promised to see Kagome and Sango in their class in the morning and left.

Sango and Miroku went to their separate bedrooms as Kagome, Inu Yasha and Sesshomaru went to the hall that hosted their bedrooms. Kagome walked with Sesshomaru to his door and was asking about the conference/meeting that he was going to. He was more than happy to oblige her curiosity. It turned out that they were major contributors to research funding at that hospital.

Inu Yasha just stood at the door to the room that he shared with his mate while waiting for her to come back.

He began to growl when he saw that she reached up and gave him a warm hug and he reciprocated it. Sesshomaru directed a glare toward his growling brother. He could hug her; she was family.

Kagome let go and walked back to her mate and put an arm around his waist as she began to get him to go into their room. Inu Yasha sent a self-satisfied smirk toward his brother as he drew her into a kiss. ‘Let him put that in his pipe and smoke it,’ he thought as he allowed her to pull him to their bed.

He could deal with Sesshomaru; he only had to do it for a few days.

Now all he had to do was hope that Naraku and his brothers would not show up.
