Chapter Fourteen


What the hell was he doing? She was so stunned she did nothing but stood there. At her non-complaince he forced his tongue in her mouth. 'I should bite the fucker off.' What was he trying to prove? Was he trying to make Kagome jealous? Then it was a good way of showing Inuyasha that his kiss had meant nothing to her, though it was a lie. He didn't know that. If Sesshomaru wanted to play games, she loved games. She brought her hands up to grab his haori pulling him closer to her. Her tongue slid into his mouth causing him to stiffen. She'd give as good as she got. He growled low in his throat and deepened the kiss. Leiko had to admit he was a very good kisser no wonder Kagome had acted the way she did. She felt the tiniest bit of desire stir. (Who wouldn't get horny with Sesshomaru kissing them) She was disappointed though, it was nice but didn't compare to what she'd felt from Inuyasha.

Sesshomaru heard his brother growling somewhere in the back of his mind but he payed no attention. He'd been shocked when she returned the kiss. He knew she'd give him hell later for his actions. He continued to kiss her, enjoying it. It didn't stir him as much as kissing Kagome had but he felt himself getting hard.

He pulled away from her when he heard the hanyou coming towards him. He lifted his eyebrow up, "Do you have a problem little brother?"

Inuyasha stopped in his tracks. What the hell was he doing! He shouldn't give a damn if Sesshomaru took the girl off and fucked her. But the urge to tear the bastard in two still rang in his blood. He had Kagome and Kikyo, so why was he getting jealous over her. "You and your whore can go elsewhere, we don't want to see it."

Leiko bristled at the insult. Sesshomaru retaliated. He punched the hanyou in the face knocking him back. Inuyasha jumped back to his feet. It was on! They went at each other, no swords only fists were being used. Inuyasha fought out of jealousy while Sesshomaru was pissed. Sango and Miroku grabbed Shippo flying away on Kirara. It was best to get clear. Kagome moved further back to get out of harm's way.

Leiko gave a quick sigh of disappointment. So that's why Sesshomaru had kissed her, to rile his brother into fighting. That stung almost as bad as Inuyasha calling her a whore. If he wanted to start a fight then he should have kissed Kagome. At least he would have been kissing the girl he wanted. The others were out of harms way but watching. Pathetic! She knew why Sesshomaru was really fighting with him. The idiot couldn't stand the fact that his half human brother had the girl he desired. He should just admit it to himself and get over it. She grabbed her bow and arrow off the ground. They could stay and watch the two fight like two dogs over a bitch in heat but she had better things to do with her time. Another sigh escaped her when the sky let loose wetting everyone in a matter of seconds. Yet the two fought on.

The frustrated girl kept walking, everyone had been caught up in the fight so no one saw her slip away. It was just as well, she didn't want to explain her reason for leaving. She walked for over thirty minutes, not caring what direction she was headed. After having her true revenge, she had no plans for her future. No home, no family, no enemies, and no mate. Yep the future looked bright. The rain was relentless, the wind was beginning to pick up causing her face to be pelted by the drops. "Nice night for a storm."

"I agree."

She turned to find Naraku standing to her left, only several feet away. "Oh, its you. What do you want?" She looked him over. This was no puppet, it was the real thing. His long hair blew behind him, flapping in the wind. "You should really consider putting your hair up, it will get tangled that way."

"I did not come to get grooming tips." He took a step forward.

"Then why did you? I don't remember inviting you for a moonlight stroll." She saw him looking her down. 'Had all the males turned into perverts since she died?' He didn't say anything for a few minutes merely looked.

"So tell me have you formed an alliance with Inuyasha yet?"

"I told you I have no alliances, I do what I want. Nothing more. Why do you care? Surely you aren't scared of me." She was trying to pick a fight.

"Hn. You do not scare me. I will not let you get too close to the hanyou nor his friends. It will only complicate matters when I kill him."

"Oh yeah thats right, I'm suppose to return to you after you kill him. What if I have plans of my own?" She'd slit her own throat before going back to him.

"You have no choice in the matter, I will have you. I no longer lust after the dead Kikyo after ridding myself of that pathetic human heart. Now I am free to desire whom I wish and I find that I greatly desire you." Naraku could sense the other miko coming.

"You'll get over it I'm sure."

He moved to fast for her, his arm reached out grabbing her neck. She was only a few inches away from his face. "Hn. I see you will have to be reminded of your place."

"Get your damn hands off me." She pushed at his face with her hand. Her power surged taking half his face off. He threw her back.

An arrow flew between them, taking off his left shoulder. "Get away from her Naraku." Kagome stood with another arrow notched. She let it loose aiming for his chest. Of course she wouldn't be able to kill him since he didn't have his heart. He sent a tenacle towards her, he'd kill the meddlesome bitch.

Kagome saw it coming at her and tried to get an arrow off until she was pulled out the way. Leiko had ahold of her arm. "Come on." She pulled the girl behind her. Naraku was putting himself back together as they ran. "We can't kill him, he doesn't have a heart."

"Yeah, we know. Where are the others? Do you know your way back?" Kagome was already turned around. She'd ran a good ways until she'd sensed the jewel.

They were dodging trees as they ran. "No, I have no idea. I can't sense anyone besides him. His evil aura is clouding my senses, we gotta put some distance between us."

"Okay," Kagome ran behind her. She could hear Naraku's evil laughter as they ran. There was no way they could out run him. Her legs were starting to hurt and her chest felt heavy. She had tried to get everyones attention when she turned to see the girl gone. She'd ran into the woods after her. Without thinking she'd ran towards the pull when she felt the jewel. If she'd been smart she'd have gone back for the others.

Leiko suddenly stopped in front of her. Kagome looked past her to see the gorge. There was no way they could jump across and Naraku was right behind them. Looking down revealed it to be endless. The drop had to go for a couple hundred feet, if they fell they'd die.

Naraku saw their predicament and laughed. "Seems you are out of options. Now come back with me, join me and I will let Kagome live. If not I will kill her after she's watched me rape you. I will have you willing or not, the choice is yours." He could sense Inuyasha and Sesshomaru coming in fast. He only had a minute max. before they were here. "Decide now."

"We would rather die than hand ourselves over to you." Leiko grabbed the girl and pulled her back against her chest, wrapping one arm around her waist. "You want an answer here it is." She extended the middle finger of her free hand. She jumped into the crevice with Kagome in her arms.

Naraku heard the girl's scream and it suddenly stopped. "Pity." He turned as Inuyasha and Sesshomaru landed in front of him.

"Where the hell are they Naraku?"

"Hn. Seems she prefered death over me. Too bad she felt the need to take your bitch with her." He glanced over his shoulder.

Inuyasha rushed him but the demon quickly took to the air. "Get back here you bastard." He was gone. Sesshomaru was looking over the edge. There was no way they could survive that fall. He couldn't smell their scent anymore, it did indeed end at the cliff.

"They went over." Sesshomaru bent down trying to sense anything in the ravine. It was too dark at the bottom even for him. "I can't see or sense them."

"Bullshit. They have to be down there somewhere." He couldn't lose them. Yet as he peered in the darkness he saw what Sesshomaru could see. Nothing.

The others landed beside them. "Where's Kagome?" Sango asked.

"Down there, somewhere."

"What, are you telling me they fell down that?" Miroku peered over. "Theres no way they could survive that fall, not even Leiko."

"Shut up, they are down there. They're alive." Inuyasha refused to believe it.

Sesshomaru twitched his ear. He wouldn't believe it either. He cared for both women, he didn't want to believe that they'd just died because he'd picked a fight with his brother. Shippo started crying at hearing that Kagome was probably dead. The demon lord yelled at him. "Silence." The kit stopped immediately. His ears twitched again, yes there it was again. Laughter.
