Frightful Flight

A/N:Thanks for the reviews everyone. I really appreciate them. My mom has eased up a little with the computer thing, but I probably won't update for a few days. I'll try, I really will, but this is a warning for if I don't you know why. Oh and for the record I know there is some kind of time you have to wait to take a pregnancy test after having sex, but I'm not sure what not having any experience in that field so Kag can take it right away. Previously

The second class was over Kagome shot out of there like a bat outta hell. Inuyasha didn't go after her. 'Maybe she regrets sleeping with me.' he thought and was now determined to find out what exactly happened between when she left his apartment this morning and dance class fifteen minutes later.

Chapter Fourteen

Kagome pulled up to her apartment building and her mind was flying. She knew Sango would have the test, but she did want to take it for fear of the results. Kagome knew that if it were positive then she would have the baby without question. If it was negative she'd thank whatever Kami was on her side. She stepped from the car and headed to her apartment.

Sango was waiting for Kagome when she opened the door. Kagome took the test from Sango's hand and nodded walking into the bathroom. She looked at the instructions and the thought's that blew through her head were definitely wild.

"Kagome are you okay?" Sango was on the outside of the door waiting for her friend. Kagome had been in there for twenty minutes and had yet to come out. She heard clanging and then the jiggling of the knob as Kagome came out.

"It was negative." Sango hugged the girl and smiled. She knew that she had upset Kagome when she mentioned the possibility she might be pregnant. It's not that she wanted to upset her friend it's just that she wanted to do the smart thing for Kagome's sake.

"I have to take a shower. You do your homework. Inuyasha and I have dance practice. Thanks for the support." Sango nodded and went to her already spread out work load. Kagome walked into the bathroom and trashed the test. She turned on the shower and let the warm water drip on her hand as she tested it before undressing. Stepping into the shower she began to wash away her worried thoughts.

'I know that it's odd, but now that I think about it, I wouldn't have minded too much. One part of really would have liked it. That's probably my maternal side. My sensible and strong headed side tells me it would have really fucked up my life. I'd of had to drop out of school and what about Inuyasha. Now that I think of it I don't even know how he really feels about me. He says he loves me, but talk is cheap. Then again we didn't really talk last night. He's shown me love, he's said he loved me, and he showed his tender side to me something I doubt he does freely. I know how I feel, but I'm so confused. It's slightly disturbing though that he at one time dated Kikyo.' That thought made Kagome shiver and then realized it was probably also from the freezing cold water she was now under.

Kagome stepped out of the shower and looked in the mirror. She wiped away some of the steam that was still on the glass. She smiled and let the relief was over her. Too many questions roamed her head and to be so unsure of any situation must not be a good thing. Being pregnant and not knowing every answer would've been bad so it was a blessing.

At seven o'clock on the dot Kagome walked into the dance studio ready for one hell of a work out. She had so much energy it wasn't funny. Inuyasha was stretching when he heard her enter and looked up at her. She was wearing a blue leotard with matching tights and she had ballet slippers on. She started to stretch mindlessly when she felt two arms encircle her.

"Kags talk to me. Are you okay? You seemed distant?" He felt her shift in his arms and glanced down at her.

"I'm fine I was just a little stressed. It's no big deal. Now should we dance?" she held out her hand to him.

"Do you regret last night?" he had to know it had been eating at him since the thought popped into his head.

"No. I just think next time we should use protection. Nothing's wrong don't worry" she said when the worried look crossed his face. "I know. So let's dance. I feel much better now."

They began to dance and got better the more Kagome let her body relax and surrendered herself to the music. Inuyasha hadn't thought about Kagome getting pregnant, but the second the word protection left her mouth he realized what a baka he had been. 'No wonder she was so tense.' he looked down at her and smiled. 'She's such an angel.' he watched her leap with amazing energy and ease. 'You’re my own little angel'.

After dancing for about two hours they headed out to Kagome's car when a limo pulled up. The driver lowered his window and directed his attention to Inuyasha. His yellow green eyes and orange like hair gave him a cat like appeal. His eyes were curious and still piercing with a glance. Inuyasha protectively snaked an arm around Kagome's waist and stared sternly at the male.

"You’re Mr.Inuyasha Tashio. Correct?" asked the demon in a gruff deep voice that boomed.

"Yes. Who are you?" the inu hanyou demanded. He didn't like the way the guy was eyeing his Kagome.

"Mr. Sesshomaru Tashio has requested you come to his club in forty minutes. I'm to take you." rebuffed the neko.

"Fine we will be stopping at two places." Inuyasha gave him the directions to his apartment and then Kagome's. She glanced at him quizzically when he said to stop at his first. After they climbed into the backseat of the limo Inuyasha turned to Kagome and nuzzled her neck. He asked her to come with him to the club and she agreed under the condition they danced before the night was though. He nodded and sucked on her neck lightly.

"We're here." shouted the chauffeur’s voice. Inuyasha growled at the imbecile’s bad timing and climbed from the seat telling Kagome he'd be down in "two shakes". She wasn't sure what that meant, but waited patiently for his return.

The neko youkai turned in his seat and gave Kagome the once over and grinned hentai like. "What's your name?" he flashed a daring smile.

"Miss.Higurashi and I'd appreciate it if you looked at my face when speaking to me. It's above my chest. You know thing you seem so fascinated with." she sneered. It really was normally that rude, but she never did like cats. They were always to curious and frisky for their own good.

"Well I-" his statement was cut short as Inuyasha appeared in his apartment buildings door and made his way back over to the limo. The feline youkai said nothing more to either of the backseats occupants, but watched Kagome desirously through the rearview mirror. Inuyasha smelled the man's lust and let off a warning growl and pulled Kagome into his lap.

They arrived at the club after Kagome went home and changed into a gold halter with black leather pants and boots to match. She told Sango she'd be home late, if at all and left. There was a tremendous line leading to the doors of the club. Pushing his way to the front of the line Inuyasha made to pass the security guard.

"Excuse me, but you have to wait in line. Only V.I.P get in right now." spoke the built tanned bold security guard.

"Keh. I'm the brother of the owner of the club dumbass. The name's Inuyasha Tashio." Inu flashed them his id. The guard who had spoken had eyes as wide as saucers and apologized letting him and Kagome through, with much protest from the growing line. The guards threw glares their way and they quieted.

Lights flashed and music boomed. The club was big and had a bar on the first level and V.I.P boxes up a flight of stairs that lead to the second floor. Inuyasha grabbed a drink at the bar and handed Kagome a coke. She didn't want alcohol; she had a bad history with the vile liquid and always chose to stay sober at parties and clubs, being the designated driver most of the time.

The danced their way to the staircase and headed to a small room with three booths and Sesshomaru happen to occupy. On Sesshomaru's right arm was a small brunette with a child like air and jeans with a tight with sweater smiling benignly. Across from Sesshomaru sat a man with red eyes and black hair and a malevolent look in his eyes that screamed danger. Oh his arm was KIKYO. Kagome had to do a double take when she saw the girl she was oh so sick of. Kikyo was wearing a tight skirt that just barely covered her ass and a black see through shirt that was so tight her breast were barely contained and it reached just below them. Her hooker heels were 5 inches off the ground and the leather material reached just slightly above her knee.

"Naraku this is my half brother Inuyasha. Inuyasha this is Naraku and is mate Kikyo." Naraku inclined his head then his gaze skimped over Kagome. His eyes lit with a fire that burned with desire. Kagome shifted uneasily under the mans relentless stare and huffed when Kikyo glared at her. "This is also Inuyasha's mate Kagome."

"Yes we've met. Well not properly, but I think I remember him just now he is properly clothed and not fucking Kikyo in her kitchen." Inuyasha's words seeped with venom and he already loathed the man not only had he killed his father, but the man before him had stolen his girlfriend, not that he cared for her anymore, but the man's immorality made him scoff.

"Pleasure to meet you Kagome." Naraku said her name with a cocky smirk that creeped the girl out. The most she did was incline her head respectfully.

"I'm Rin. Sesshomaru's mate." said the bubbly girl next to the stoic youkai who seemed to have a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth at her last sentence.

"Kagome. Nice to meet you." Kagome genuinely liked the upbeat woman who fizzed with happiness.

"Right now that introductions are done let us get down to business this Sesshomaru..." a pointed glare from Rin set him back and he rephrase his sentence.” I don't want to be here all night." The girl smiled and nodded in approval and everyone sat in their respective booths.

"Well as I have stated I refuse to sell." Sesshomaru put in his two cents right off the bat.

"The offer is quite generous Sesshomaru. Do reconsider. I only ask once." stated the man.

"How much is are you asking and why would we sell to the likes of you?" snarled Inuyasha with a business posture and attentive mindset that left Kagome wondering where it came from.

"I offer a generous sum of $1,450,000,000.00." Naraku put up a good cold front in contrast to the hot one rolling off Inu. Kikyo licked her lips and crossed her legs. She was watching Inuyasha's every move.

"I refuse to sell. You could offer me the world and it wouldn't be enough. Now if that is all?" Inuyasha stood as did everyone.

"This is your only offer. If you don't take it. The consequences will be dire." the malicious tone the seeped from the man was unnerving to Kagome and she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.

"No deal. Thank you for your time Mr.Onigumo. Inuyasha, Kagome." Sesshomaru completely ignored Kikyo and walked off with Rin without a response.

"Yes I do agree with my brother. We will not be selling. Bye." Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's hand and began to pull the girl along and she was all too happy to leave.

"Do meeting generally last that long?" Kagome asked as they headed to the dance floor.

"No, but there was no way me or my brother were going to sell. Now he knows. Meetings usually last hours. Thankful I and Sesshomaru finally agreed on something. Now how about that dance I owe you?" Kagome nodded and they slinked their way onto the dance floor.

As Kagome moved to the beat she was unaware of the pair of blood red eyes that shined like rubies watching her every move.
