Inuyasha was the first to wake up, he found himself in bed with Kagome, she had turned and was now facing him, her face was only inches away from his. She looked so beautiful and so happy; she was smiling, even in her sleep. His transformation had woken him; he noticed his own black hair, his furry ears were gone and his hands were now clawless.

‘Damn you woman, what did you do to me’ he thought ‘It’s the first damn time I ever fell asleep on a moonless night, she’s making me go soft’ still on her bed, he stretched out to look out the window only to see that the sun had just set ‘At least you’re safe in this world’ he went away in his thoughts ‘Still, it’s no excuse for you to sleep on a time like this, with this weak human body’

It was now 8:50 pm and the alarm clock was only minutes from disturbing the quiet time between Inuyasha and himself, he looked at her still sleeping face, she looked content, like if she had everything she could ever dream for, and in a strange way it was true. He gently put his hand on her cheek and cleared her face from the hair that covered it to reveal her milky white skin.

‘She is so pretty, she’s always smiling, even when she’s sleeping’ he wandered in his own thoughts ‘Damn it, it’s always like this when I’m human, I keep my guards down and I have these strange new feelings coming out… … no, not new feelings, just stronger and-’

he was interrupted by the much hated alarm clock BIP! BIP! BIP! BIP! BIP! SMACK! He gave it a good whack to make it shut up as he often said. When he turned back he saw Kagome waking up

“Morning” she said with her soft morning voice

“It’s not morning and you now it’ he replied “Did you get enough rest Kagome?” he added

“I feel like if I could take down Naraku right now” she scheecheerfully

“Somebody sure is in a good mood”

“That’s what waking in good company does to me” she replied with an uncontrollable smirk on her face

“I’m not good company Kagome, I’m just a grumpy hanyou” he said, getting out of bed.

“Don’t say that, you are great company, besides I happen to like your grumpiness sometimes” she said now sitting on her bed, still wearing her green and white school uniform. “Now why don’t you go down and see Souta while I take a shower and change out of these clothes”

He got up and went out of the room, closing the door behind him. As he was climbing down the stairs he was greeted by Mama

“Hello Inuyasha, did you sleep well?” she asked, his face turned into a shade of red

“I’m sorry, I didn’t meant do fall asleep… it wont happen again” he apologized to her

“Oh there’s no need for you to apologize deer, you didn’t do anything wrong” she reassured him

“But I’m a hanyou, no one would like a half-breed touching her daughter” he s

“Well Kagome doesn’t seem to mind, and she’s so happy” the mother replied “I only want what’s best for her and I think that you are part of that” she added. “By the way, what happened to your hair” she questioned him

“Mom you are terrible” Souta interrupted them “Don’t you remember that he becomes human once a month?” the boy said

“Ohhhh It must have slipped my mind” she said, running off to the kitchen

“Hey Inuyasha, come on, I’ll show you my new video game” said the agitated boy. After half an hour of playing, Inuyasha threw the controller to the ground, not hard enough to break it but hard enough to show his frustration,

“I see why you always make me play these games” said an irritated hanyou “You can’t beat me in real life so you take pleasure in beating the shit out of my guy in your magic box” Just then the figure of Kagome appeared halfway down the stairs, she was dressed in a green skirt that went down to the knee and ¾ white socks, she had a white blouse covered by an unbuttoned blue whole pullover.

“Inuyasha, you know that’s not true, Souta looks up to you like an older brother” she said. Inuyasha was siland and he only stared at her “What? Is there something wrong with my clothes?” she asked a bit confused

“No” he replied “It’s just that you look different in those clothes, I’m used to seeing you in your school uniform, that’s all”

“Why don’t you come up then, I have some clothes for you to change in to”

He made a face that said: You’re not making me wear women’s clothing.

“I bought you some clothes for when you come here and want to go outside, they’re not women’s clothes” she quickly replied before he produced one of his trademark answers like: Feh, like I’d be wearing some girly clothes or something.

She motioned for him to come and he followed her into her room where she had put the garments on her bed

“There you go” she said, turning around to go to the living room. She sat next to her brother and her mother, who had joined them to get a glimpse at Inuyasha’s new look. As he appeared he almost fell down the stairs because of his shoes

“Damn things, why can’t I walk barefoot like in my own time” he fumed, “Besides I look ridiculous in that” he spat. He was dressed in tight blue jeans, and an equally tight red t-shirt that accentuated his shapely abs and chest, and to top it off, a black leather jacket that went down only to his hips.

“No you don’t, I think you look very handsome in that outfit, besides, it’s normal thou tou tripped over your shoes, they’re not even tied” Kagome said going over to him “Here, let me help you witht those” sai said going over to him and tying up his shoes. “There you go”

“Kagome’s right Inuyasha, you look great” added Mama

“Fine, you convinced me, I’ll wear the damn clothes” said Inuyasha with an annoyed voice. Kagome stood up beside Inuyasha, took his arm by the elbow and tried to drag him to the door, then she said cheerfully

“Bye mom, bye Souta, don’t wait for us too long, see you in the morning”

“Hey Inuyasha” the little boy said

“What is it kid?”

“Try not to do anything that will get her mad at you”

“Why you, isn’t it passed your bedtime yet?” the frustrated hanyou replied

“Ok, lets go” Kagome interrupted the two boys “Before you too start to fight” she mumbled

“I heard that” added Inuyasha.

Kagome opened the door, ignoring his last comment knowing that if she argued with him he would probably call the whole thing off. She waved at her mom and brother before they got out of their sight and her mom waved back at her. They walked to the bus station to go down town

“So what do you want to do tonight” she said

“I don’t know, it’s your world isn’t it. You should know what to do” he replied

“I know I was just teasing you. Oh the bus is coming”

“What’s a bus” he asked putting some effort to articulate the word properly

“It’s like a big car that people use to go places too far for walking” she said and handed him a piece of paper “Give this to the man inside so you can go in” she added. He did as she told him and the man thanked him and let him pass, there was only one place left so Inuyasha made her sit while he stood up and crossed his arms waiting for something to happen.

“You might want to hold the-” she said as the bus accelerated and Inuyasha went crashing face first in the back of the bus, earning some giggles and suppressed laughter from the passengers. “Bar” Kagome finished her sentence.

“What are you laughing at” he shouted at them while getting up on his feet again, he frowned and mumbled some inaudible words. He looked at Kagome and saw that she was trying to keep herself from laughing. “Not you too” he said annoyed, “You could have at least warned me that it was about to throw me to the ground”

Sitting next to Kagome was an old lady and seeing this hot tempered man dressed in a leather jacket preferred to go and stand up in the front. He took her place beside Kagome.

“It was pretty funny, you have to admit it” she told him, earning a death glare from him.

“So where are we going” he asked her

“We could go for an ice-cream, or get a cup of coffee” she suggested

“Ice-creeam? Coffeeee? What are those, some kinds of food?” he asked confused about the new words he was learning, he couldn’t associate them with anything he knew because he had no idea to what these words were referring to.

“Ice-cream is a kind of desert that you lick, it’s cold and sweet, coffee is something you drink, but it’s hot and bitter” she explained

“Bitter? Why would someone want to drink something br?” r?” he asked confused

“It has something in it that keeps you awake a couple of hours, it tastes good you’ll see” she replied

“I think I would like to try this coffee drink”

“Here’s our stop, come on Inuyasha, we go down here” she said getting up and out of the bus. They walked for a bit, until they found a nice place with a terrace, they took a table and waited for the waiter.

“So Inuyasha, how do you like modern Tokyo” she questioned him

“It’s noisy, don’t people ever sleep in your time, good thing I don’t have my hanyou hearing or I’d have some head ache” he said

“Common, don’t be so moody, try to enjoy it” she complained “It’s not everyday that we get the chance to be alone together, try to open up a bit” she added.

“I feel vulnerable” he said deeply, “It’s the first time I’m around so much people when I’m human, it’s kinda scary” she was taken by sise,ise, he never opened up to her, he never talked about his feelings, not even to her. But it was the new moon,

‘Must be the fact that he’s human’ she thought ‘He always was more in touch with his feelion ton the new moon’ her train of thought was interrupted by the waitress

“Welcome to the coffee house, what can I get you” she asked, holding a notebook and a pen.

“Mmm… I’ll have a vanilla flavored moka” Kagome answered

“And for your boyfriend?” the waitress added while writing down Kagome’s order. Kagome’s face turned red in an instant,

“Euhh, it’s aaaa, he’s not my boyfriend” she was so embarrassed at what the woman insinuated.

“Well, what will the young man drink?”

“Make it a cappuccino” she said her. Her face returned to its normal color,

“I’ll be righck, ck, I have to use the bathroom” she said to Inuyasha who grabbed her arm

“Don’t stay too long, I don’t like the Idea of being alone here” he said to her with a puppy look on his face that most puppies couldn’t achieve.

“It will only take a minute” she said and he released her

‘How can someone resist when he does that sad puppy face’ she thought.

On her way back from the bathroom, she was intercepted by the waitress,

“Well girl either the guy is gay or you’re in serious denial” she said

“What”

“The way you look at him says it all girl” added the waitress

“Is it that obvious” she asked

“You might not see it if you’re blind” she answered before going over to a table and Kagome went to her own.

“Kagome, the woman brought us our stuff”


“Be careful or you’ll burn yourself” she said taking a sip, Inuyasha did the same but he burned his thong

“HOT HOT! HOT! HOT!”

“I told you to be careful” The noisy hanyou attracted the attentio som some people, including a familiar boy

“Kagome?!?!” said the voice “What are you doing here, aren’t you supposed to be resting?”

“HOJO!??!” she said, not expecting this at all ‘This is gona get ugly’ she thought.
