CHAPTER FOURTEEN — YUKI—
{five years later}
“But mom I don’t want you to go” cried yuki as she followed her mother into the bedroom. “I have to. Me and seth need to visit some insurance people in America. We will be only gone for two weeks, sesshoumaru & rin will take care of you till we get back”said maru. “oh ok” said yuki.. After a couple of hours her parent’s left to sort out their daughters child insurance policy. She moved some of her toys down to sesshoumaru’s hut. When she saw him she immediately perked up.”kitty” she siad as she grabbed onto his fluffy tail. she was about three feet now and came to his thighs. her tail had grown too it was four feet and growing faster every year. By his estimates sesshoumaru said it would be as long as his when she reached maturity.
“Yuki could you kindly let go of my tail” said sesshoumaru in a gentle voice.”but neko-chan”said yuki “ I like holding youre tail it feels like a kitty cat”. “I f you don’t let go how am I supposed to give this candy”. He showed her a box of pockey and she let go immediatly ,reaching for the box. he gave her the box and sat next to her dreaming of his own child hood. Yuki enjoyed the candy and was gonna eat it all when she decided to save the rest for later.” grandpa neko can we go visit grandpa fluffy?” asked yuki giving him her usual puppy dog face. She was so cute whhe dhe did that face that he couldn’t say no.”yes but first you need to eat some lunch” said sesshoumaru.
They sat around the table in the hut eating beef roast and corn on the cob. yuki was the first to finish. She washed her hands and face and helped rin clean up the dishes. After finishing the dishes rin sesshoumaru and yiku headed up the east side of the hill to inuyasha’s home.they traveled past a trickleing stream and through a field of flowers. They had to stp cause yuki decided to pick some flowers for their visit. The finally reached a clearing where the sun shone through like a bright waterfall. The house was next to the old god tree and a couple yards away was the well. They didn’t have long to wait as kagome rushed out side to greet them, inuyasha bringing up the rear. They exchanged formalities and went inside the rather large hut.
“ so what may I ask made you come vis visit?” asked inuyahsa. “Yuki wanted to see you” said sesshoumaru. “Fluffy” cried yukiand jumped into inuyasha’s arms nearly hittng his sensitive spot down below. She gigled and rubbed his ears.”you have ears like mama” said yuki and she begun to tickle them. Inuyasha couldn’t help but laugh as she kept tickling.”yep just as ticklish as mama too” said yuki through her open smile.kagome had left to get some refreashment’s and finally brought some water and fruit for them to snack on. As kagome set the tray down on the table yuki dove right into the watermelon. She started to spit the seeds at inuyasha again but he was prepared he had watermelon too and retaliated with his own seeds. Kagome started to protest when he shot one her direction. She picked up some watermelon and spit some back at him. Rin and sesshoumaru were laghing at this time because all three of them were covered in sticky seeds.
Later that day after her bath yuki decided to play GO with grandpa sesshoumaru .he wasn’t going easy on her, and she was wining. He had only a fraction of the board covered compared to her.” ok I forfeit” said sesshoumaru chuckling “you win”. “yay” siad yuki “grandpa can I have some watermelon?”. “yes you may” said sesshoumaru.she ran into the kitchen and rin cut her a slice of watermelon. Yuki sat down and starteed eating.rin sat down next to her and drank some tea “so how was your game” said rin to yuki.” I won again” said yuki with a smile “my dad is better than grandpa he’s tougher to beat”. “really” said rin”so you win against him too?”.” no daddy’s better than me I only win somtimes” said . Sh. She finished her melon and asked if she could go outside for awhile. Rin complied and followed her out side so as to watch over her.
Yuki started to chase butterflies around the yard when she tripped and fell hard on a rock. She screamed in pain and started to cry as her elbow dripped with blood. She had a deep cuom tom the sharp rock judged rin when she looked at it she rushed the girl into the house so she could clean the wound all the while yuki cried in pain. Sesshoumaru came into the livingroom to help with the screaming child. when rin finally finished bandaging the wound sesshoumaru scooped up the child and rocked her to sleep. “Honey”said rin to sesshoumaru. “Yes”said sesshoumaru. “I want a daughter of my own to take care of”. “ok” said sesshoumaru “but we have to take care of this one first”.
Yuki woke up holding her tail for comfort. The wound she got still hurt but she decided to ignore it, she was hungry. She walked into the kitchen and noone was there so she searched the rest of the house. When she couldn’t find anyone she went out side there she found inuyasha and kagome. “Where’s grandpa and grama?” she asked kagome. “They went some were week the day so we are to take you home with us for now ok”said kagome. “Ok” said yuki with a cute smile on her face. She followed them to their house and went inside to get something to eat. After finishing her meal she went outside to play.
She was playing very close to the well when she tripped and let out a scream as she fell down the well and into kagome’s time. Kagome and inuyasha herd the scream and rushed out side just to see her tail disappear down the well.”oh dear “said kagome. “We need to follow her” said inuyasha. They both jumped down the wel kagome attached to inuyasha’s back. They reached the other side and foud yuki curled in a corner crying. “It’s ok” said inuyasha “your safe now”. He picked up yuki and jumped out of the well.”do you want to meet kagome’s mother?” asked inuyasha. “Yay!” said yuki “that will be fun”.
They went to the house and knocked on the door. A tall elderly woman answered the door her hair was almost gray. “Welloello inuyasha how are you doing ?” said kagome’s mom. “Were doing great.what about sota and his wife how about them?”. said inuyasha.” thier son just turned 16 three wekks ago” said kagome’s mom.(author: bear with me I don’t know her mom’s name ok). “well mom I’d like you to meet our daughters daughter yuki” said kagome as she pointed to yuiki who’s eyes were wide in ecitement. “Hello great grama” said yuki as she ran up to kagome’s mom and hugged her kneeling form. “Hello dear” replkagokagome’s mom. “Hello grammy “ said yuki.
After visiting kagome’s family they headed home.
{end of the two weeks}
maru walked down from the well and to her parent’s house kagome was out side tending the garden.”hello maru sweety, your daughter’s with us because rin and sesshoumaru have gone on a short vacation” said Kagome. At that moment yuki came running out of the door scaeming her parents name glad to see them. They all hugged for awhile and then went home. Maru cooked some meat and potatoes for dinner and then made some instant pudding that her mom had given her. Yuki ate three bowls of the pudding and two slices of meat. She asked if she could be excused and left the room to wash up.”man at the rate she’s eating she’s gonna be full grown in a week” siad seth. “Nah it’s probably a growth spurt” said maru. She cleaned up the house and they all went to bed.
