CHAPTER 3, PART 3 -
~*~ Hey, sorry for handing you guys a cliffy. But life's too busy for me now, that's why I'm updating gradually. I only think of the story as I write so I take a really long time to decide on what I want to happen. Hope you guys don't run out of patience for me! ^_^
to Lllmamma: Hey, you reviewed again. *hug* Thanx so much for the show of support, it really gives me a boost. And am I glad I didn't put you off reading anymore because of my 'e-mail problems'. Stay with me 'till the end alright? This one's for you, I hope you enjoy it. Love ya lots! ^_^
AND TO YOU READING THIS: Thanx for being one of my loyal readers. As long as I know someone loves to read my story I will never stop writing. It might take me a long time to update, but you can count on me to finish the story. Oh and btw, I'm currently writing another fic for CloudxTifa in the Final Fantasy section entitled 'A Prince For Sale'. If you're fond of the game (and most esp. fond of CloTi ^_^) then I suggest you head over there and take a look. I promise you won't be disappointed *wink*. So here's another installment, happy reading! Jaa ne! ^_^ ~*~

Chapter Three, Part III -
Inuyasha actually forced Miroku to remember everything, never thinking of the consequences. It was only when Miroku had to be hospitalized for two weeks did he stop to look back with chagrin in what he did. Miroku looked like he was in a trance then entered a depressed state of mind. He had excruciating headaches associated with too much memory overload. He didn't eat, couldn't sleep and was extremely agitated during the period. Miroku said he actually thought he was losing his mind.
The torture eased up after the two weeks Miroku had to suffer through. Even though he was thankful he remembered who he really was, he was none-too-grateful for the way Inuyasha triggered his memories like a dam bursting open. Miroku still needled Inuyasha with that every chance he got.
"I'll be patient this time. I don't want that to happen to Kagome,"
Sesshomaru nodded at the determination he saw in his brother's eyes. He was impatient to have his mate back, but he also didn't want to hurt her. That was a good sign.
"Then I have to tell you of her message,"
Inuyasha was instantly alert.
"Message? What message?"
"She told me she'll be working today rather than stay at home after what happened. She's expecting you to visit her; said she'll be waiting to meet you,"
Inuyasha was non-plussed for a moment. He was both excited and afraid at the same time. He'd been waiting for so long for this moment, but now that it was here...
His older brother seemed to follow his train of thought.
"Go to her. Do not hesitate. You've been waiting all your life for this so don't screw it up,"
Inuyasha's head snapped up to meet Sesshomaru's gaze. Amber clashed as their eyes battled. It was Inuyasha who looked away first, knowing his brother was right.
"You're right. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm not usually unsure,"
Sesshomaru fought another urge to roll his eyes at that.
"Make sure you help her remember slowly but steadily, Inuyasha. We have no time to lose now. Vladimir is already on the move,"
"Right. Then you'd better call Miroku and have him work on Sango as well,"
"I already have. It seems your mate alerted her to the vampires' presence here. She's leaving soon,"
Inuyasha nodded, deciding it was all for the better. Now there was only one more left to find.
"Any leads on our other miko?"
Sesshomaru shook his head. There was an edge to his eyes now.
"I'm thinking we'll find her when the time is right,"
Inuyasha felt he had to set his brother straight.
"No, she'll come to YOU when she's good and ready, and not before,"
It was Sesshomaru's turn to be surprised. The question was there in his eyes, and Inuyasha crossed his arms on his chest as he said:
"Keh! Do you really think I'm THAT stupid?"
Sesshomaru gave Inuyasha one of his rare smiles.
"Yes, but you do have your moments, hanyou,"
"I told you not to call me that!"
But Inuyasha was talking to an already closed door, with Sesshomaru taking his leave in a flash. The hanyou still grumbled his protest when a new thought came over him.
"Now I've got to tell Shippou,"
================================================
The fox demon in question had no idea of the chaos in the mansion. He was currently engaged in painting his latest inspiration.
Shippou was an artist. He supposed it was his 'mother' who gave him the inclination when she started bringing back coloring books and crayons from her time to the Feudal era. He was fascinated by them, he remembered. When Kagome taught him how to properly color, he gave her his undivided attention and utmost concentration. Up until now, vivid colors was the ultimate love of his life.
He supposed he was lucky, having lived long the way he did. Looking at him, no one would think he had several hundred years under his belt.
