I Never Meant to Cause You Any Trouble.
A/N: Ok, this’ll be the one with the Ifrit part. Be prepared, there are some very X-rated parts in this chapter… at least for me. *wink*

Chapter Thirteen: I Never Meant to Cause You Any Trouble.
Kimiko and Inuyasha stood, side by side, at the entrance to Naraku’s fortress. It looked like a classic sand castle, only it was made of brick, not sand, and it was a million times bigger than a simple beach could hold. Inuyasha shivered at the sight. He looked long and hard at Kimi. Her expression was determined. He sighed. “You’re four months pregnant, love,” he told her. ‘As if she doesn’t know,’ he thought, looking down at her belly, which was sticking out more now than it had been when they first concocted this crazy scheme about a month ago. He reached over and rubbed it with his large hand, sniffing lightly. Their child’s scent was soft in the air, and he cherished it; it smelled like woodsmoke and blossoms, a mixture of Kimiko’s and his own.
Kimiko stepped away from him, pulling her growing belly out of his reach. His hand still stuck out toward it, hanging in the air. Inuyasha sighed, and they started walking toward the castle together.
Yash stepped inside first, Kimi right behind him. He knew that, against Naraku, she’d need to be alone, but he would make sure she got there in one piece.
Apparently, Naraku had other plans. Kimi barely saw it, and she knew her lover didn’t see it at all. A whirlwind pounced on them suddenly, ripping Inuyasha from Kimi’s side and smashing him into the far wall. He slumped the cement floor, unconscious. Kimi stared as Kagura appeared out of the whirlwind. She looked over Kimi, her eyes set in the Sight. She gave the goddess a toothy grin. “Just in time,” Kagura murmured, her eyes flashing dangerously. “I was getting very tired of dealing with him.”
Kimi watched her. Kagura’s tone had bordered grateful. “You know that if I do this to him, you won’t survive it,” she told Kagura. The sorceress nodded. “I realize that. But even death would be better than having to put up with that arrogant bastard a second more.”
Kimi shrugged. “Suit yourself.” She eyed her lover’s unconscious form across the room, lying at Kagura’s feet. “Would you do me a favor? Take him outside. He won’t want to see this.”
Kagura nodded. In a whirl, she and Inuyasha had disappeared… leaving Kimi alone to fend against Naraku.
Her heels clacked against the hard floor as she made her way into the next room. It was dark and nearly bare; there was only a single, luxurious-looking chair beside a blanket laying on the floor. Kimi stepped inside cautiously, looking around her for any sign of her enemy.
“At last,” a deep, malicious voice purred from the chair. Before her eyes, Naraku materialized, sitting in it. ‘He’s gained some serious power in these last few centuries,’ she thought, standing still. He observed her with intense, scrutinizing eyes, and she shivered a little under that cold, hungry stare.
“I’m here to make a deal,” she told him, relaxing and spreading her legs a little. She stuffed her hands in her tight jeans pockets, analyzing his expression. She threw herself into the Sight and was astonished at how darkly he burned. He was nowhere near her on the level of power; he glowed even less brightly than Inuyasha and Kaji, who had similar level reserves of power. She wondered now how he had managed to make it this far.
His fingers tapped audibly against the arm of his chair. “You actually think you are in a position to bargain with me, Kimiko?” he asked, a small, evil smile growing on his lips. He laughed.
She took a deep breath, willing her nerves and fears away. ‘God, I’m so afraid I’m going to be sick,’ she thought, forcing herself to look him in the eye. She made her blue eyes flare noticeably, showing him she had more power than he did. “You have something that I want, and I have something that you want,” she told him. He eyed her, intrigued. “Go on,” he told her in a snobbish voice, complete with the hand gesture to match the stereotype.
“You feel that urge, I know,” she told him. “You were sent here for a purpose. That purpose is to do something about me. I have broken many laws that I myself helped set in place to insure the natural order of things. For that, I must pay the price. But I am vital to the survival of life on this plane; I am required. You cannot kill me, as you have been trying to do.”
In the Sight, his expression changed. He glimmered a little. “What should I do then?” he asked her.
She blinked. “Control me.”
He grinned viciously. “But that would fulfill my purpose.”
“Yes,” she whispered, staring him down. “And that annoying, painful aching will go away. The same will happen for Inuyasha, because it’s supposed to be his job also.”
Naraku tilted his head then. “But what’s in it for you?”
Kimi swallowed. She tried not to let him see how terrified she was. “Once you have me, I want you to revert everything back to the way it should be. But Moriko remains alive.”
He sneered. “And why exactly would I want my half-breed bastard child running around here?”
“Because you won’t get me, even with a fight,” Kimi shot back, a little angry at his use of the word ‘bastard’ to describe her daughter. He stared at her, and she knew she had him. “If you agree to this… I’ll go willingly.”
He hesitated, thinking it over. Then he stood and stepped toward her. He reached out his hand. “You have a deal.”
Her arm was shaking as she took his hand in hers and shook on it.
Kimi gasped audibly when she felt her will snap in two. She stared at Naraku; the snake was actually smiling. Her entire body shook and trembled as she collapsed to her knees, her hand still held in his. Her mind was slipping, going hazy; he was taking her. She choked when she felt most of her will had slipped through their connection into the villain. Right then, right before he took her entire reserve of energy and free will, he broke contact, thereby breaking the connection between them. But none of that will came zipping back to her. She sat on her knees, completely out of it and still fully aware.
Naraku knelt down beside her, smiling. “I want you to know that this is happening,” he purred in her ear. As he kissed her jaw and neck softly, his left hand reached over and ripped open her dark brown button-down shirt. He cupped her right breast in his hand, rubbing it through her white, lacy bra and groaning with a sick satisfaction. Inwardly, Kimi cringed; outwardly, she couldn’t move, couldn’t cry out.
‘Just being controlled like this,’ she thought. ‘It’s like… rape.’
Naraku stood and walked over to his chair. He sat down, staring at Kimiko. “Stand.”
Her body stood. Her soul screamed in fury and anguish.
“Clothes. Off.”
Suddenly, she was standing there, stark naked, glaring at Naraku. Who snickered, amused. “Mine, too, woman.” Within the blink of an eye, he was sitting in his chair, nude as well. Kimi wanted to turn her head from her enemy’s indecency, but she was frozen.
“Come here and fuck me.”
Stiffly, her body walked toward him; her soul screamed and cried and pushed. But nothing gave. Slowly, she climbed into Naraku’s lap, sliding his stiff cock into her. He gasped and sighed in pleasure, and he smiled when he looked over her shoulder. “Ah,” he said. “Inuyasha. How nice of you to join us.”
Kimi couldn’t turn her head to look, but she knew that her mate was indeed standing there, watching. She could only imagine the shock on his face. Even though she couldn’t move, her face still flushed pink with shame.
“Leave her alone,” she heard her lover growl.
“Kimi, make sure he can’t come any closer.”
She blinked, and it was so. Her lover was frozen there, unable to move. But she hadn’t disabled his voice. “Naraku, dammit! She’s pregnant! With my child! Leave her and my child out of this!”
Kimi saw Naraku lick his lips right then, and his grin only grew. “I have a real fetish for pregnant women,” he spat back at Inuyasha, and he pressed his lips against Kimi’s.
Right then, his eyes widened, and he tried to pull back, but Kimi grabbed the sides of his face, holding him there. She tapped into him, forcing open their connection from earlier. She made a trade; she swapped the poison for her will. When it was done, she broke the kiss and the connection and flew away from him, knocking herself into Inuyasha. The two went crashing to the floor, staring as Naraku screamed. He stood and burst into amethyst flames. The flames began to freeze before their eyes, becoming ice. After only a few moments, Naraku was completely frozen, and then the ice began to break.
Kimiko stood and walked up to the giant, purple block of ice that contained Naraku. She glared at him. “Fuck you.” She punched the block of ice, and it shattered. There was no more trace of Naraku.
She turned to Inuyasha, who was watching her in awe. She blinked, and she clothed once again. “Sorry you had to see that,” she murmured, coming closer to him. He just grinned a huge, boyish grin and hugged her tight. “Wow, I love you,” he exclaimed.
She laughed. “I love you, too.”

After they left Naraku’s manor, the world just began to slowly melt and reshape around them. Naraku had kept his end of the bargain before he died. Inuyasha and Kimiko arrived back at the old military bunker. They packed everything up and moved back into the rebuilt Higurashi shrine with Suzume, Minoru, Aiko, Minako, and Moriko.
A few months later, they had already managed to reestablish their lives as they would have been in a normal society. Kimiko had taken up her old job as a commercial photographer once more; Moriko somehow conjured up an M.D. and grabbed hold of an attending position at the local hospital. Minoru and Suzume were working hard to keep the old shrine running as a tourist attraction and sacred place of peace. Inuyasha stayed around the shrine, taking care of Aiko and Minako while the others were busy, and he started teaching self-defense and karate classes out of their backyard.
People had reappeared everywhere. The gang watched the news, and it seemed as though nothing had ever happened. Naraku had never destroyed anything; there was never an apocalypse. Everything was as it should be.

A/N: Whoo! Good ending huh? Well, too bad, it’s not the end. A couple more chapters after this one. See ya next time.
