"Naraku!" Mira shouted and jumped up. "He used red tetsuiga to destroy the barrier." She grabbed her torn cloths and pulled them on to the best of her extent. Naraku began to dress as well.
"I don't want you to get hurt." Naraku said and pulled her to him. Frightened by his own words he wrapped his arms around her. As they walked to the front gates of the manner they heard Inuyasha yelling Mira's name. Then they heard Nani yelling the same thing.
When Naraku opened the door. There standing in the middle of the court yard was, Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, Nani, Sango, Miroku and Some woman in a blood red sleeveless dress.
He grabbed Mira and whispered. "I'm sorry." Before throwing her as far as he could. She landed with a dull thud and was quick to her feet. A moment of contemplation on his part his eyes widened again..' I love her.' He thought almost painfully.
While Nani was helping Mira up she saw tears in her eyes.
Mira jumped to her feet without the aid of Nani and stared at the battle that had just exploded.
Sango threw her boomerang at Kagura. Miroku was fighting Kanna. And Sesshoumaru was battling Haroshi.
"Wind Scar!"Inuyasha screamed and thrusted his Tetsuiga forth at Naraku.
For a moment the world seemed to be in slow motion. Before Mira finally jumped up and began to run, Faster then she could have ever dreamed of.
"NO!" Mira screamed jumping in front of Naraku and taking full blow of the Windscar. Everyone stood there stunned as Mira fell to the ground, Warm red blood flying from her body.
It was the light that Mira first became aware of. In her mind, she saw herself floating, submerged as if underwater. Sleepily, she reached up and floated, slowly drifted towards the light. She felt no fear, no pain, was utterly at peace. She came nearer and nearer to the light.
And suddenly it flashed brilliantly, filling her entire vision, whether because she was so close or it had for some reason gotten brighter, she didn't know.
"Mira!" Naraku and Inuyasha screamed in union. They looked at each other but Naraku got to her first. He dropped down and pulled her onto his lap. He caressed her bloody near lifeless corpse. Her eyes fluttered open and she grabbed hold of his over shirt.
"Naraku." She cringed. and hide her face in his chest. No one knew what to do so they stood there. Nani began to cry.
"I-....I" Naraku pulled Mira close to his body. " I love you." He whispered in her ear. She just smiled and laced her finger tips across his cheek. "I think in my black heart somewhere, somehow. I always have."
"And i lo-."Her voice trailed off. Naraku looked down at her and listened for a heartbeat, There was none. Breathing!? no. She was gone. And all because of him. He layed her body on the ground and stood up.
He looked at Inuyasha and nodded before stepping several feet away and forced Inuyasha to continue the battle.
"Bakuryuuha!" Was the last thing Naraku heard before his body was ravished with wirlwinds. So that was it? Naraku's body, Lay cold on the ground a few feet away from Mira's.
"Mira." Nani ran to her fallen sister and pulled her into her arms. Rocking her lifeless corpse back and forth she looked up. Sesshoumaru was standing over her with Tensiuga in his hand. He brought the blade down quick and then sheathed it.
"Nani." Mira mumbled and opened her eyes. Before she caught sight of Naraku behind her. "NO!" Mira screamed and pushed away Nani. She flung herself over Naraku . "NO NO NO NO NO!"
Nani jumped up and Sesshoumaru pulled her sobbing form close.
"If i knew. Naraku's death would have this affect..." Sango shook her head as her voice trailed off. She fell into Miroku's chest. His windtunnle was gone.
Why was everyone crying? Because Mira died? Or because she was laying on the lifeless body of the man she loved?
The mannor began to disappear. They saw. Haroshi, Kohaku, Kanna and Kagura smile. Walking away. They where free. Kohaku ran up to Sango and hey both started crying and holding each other.
Snow. Snow started to fall around everyone. Mira looked up as a snow flake fell on her nose.
"Its colder. The seasons took all they had come for." Mira whispered and looked down at Naraku. " First snow signifies winter." She closed her eyes as a single tear trickled down her cheek. Mira bowed her head and stood up. Making a slight Mm sound as she began to walk away. Her feet leaving blood trails. As her form disappeared into the shadowed trees.
Nani looked to Sesshoumaru and jumped up wrapping her arms around his neck and nearly making him fall to the ground, and kissed him.
"She was never meant to love." Perdu looked to Inuyasha and put her hand out. " Don't be heart broken." He nervously took it and looked at there conjoined hands. " She may be brokenhearted. But she will live on. In time she will forget about Naraku. But until that day comes." Perdu pointed south and Inuyasha mouth fell agape. "Be with the one your truly love."
"Kagome!" He ran as fast as his feet could carry him until he had her all wrapped up in his arms.
"Inuyasha!" She cried and held onto him. "I was so scared. When Perdu brought me back. She told me everything that happened. I thought i had lost you."

Mira smiled as her hands lightly fingered the well. As she circled it, The smile didn't waver.
She spun around and ran back to where The battle had taken place. And found Nani burying Naraku. Inuyasha was yelling at her.
"Shut up Inuyasha! Its what Mira would have wanted!"Nani snapped and turned her head just in time to see Mira.
She walks up to the grave and plucked a small flower from the ground. Putting it over the disturbed soil.
"I'm sorry Naraku. I should have been there for you. I'll miss you." Tears began to fill her eyes as she looked down at ground. "The hour has arrived for me say a my final farewell. I cant dwell on it anymore. Your gone and theres nothing i can do about. You don't exsist in my world. But always in my heart."
"Mira." Inuyasha came up to her and reached out to touch her shoulder.
"Just a minute Inuyasha." She whispered and kneeled down. "Its only fair that i should let you go. But you should know. I'm thinking of you, And my heart just wont let me feel right if i don't love you. After all you put me threw. They think I'd despise you?But in the end i wanna thank you, Because you maid me so much stronger. Your the only man who ever maid my heart beat faster and slower at the same time." She whispered her voice cracked with unshed tears.
"Nani." Mira stood up and pulled her sister in a airless bear hug. "I'm going to go home ok?Theres nothing for me here. just come and visit when you need me. I'll always be there for you." She looked over at Sesshoumaru and smirked. " Fuck her brains out."
With that Mira pushed her fingers into her own ribs and pulls two bloody black shards from her ribs. " Here catch." Kagome caught them and raised a curious brow. She flashed a cheeky grin and waved as she took off into a brake neck run.
