Yours Truly

Chapter 12

Rin stuck her hand to her mouth. She had pricked her palm on a rose. She turned to Kagome, “do you think that he could ever love me?”

“Rin I think that love takes time for some people. It’s a very strong emotion. You’ve already made it farther with him than anyone could have ever expected. Your and me are in the same predicament. We both have patience and we both love them.”

“My Lord……………..he wishes to know what I want from him.”

“Well, what do you want from him?”

“I don’t really believe that I have the right to desire anything from him. My very existence is owed to him. He didn’t have to save my life, and he didn’t have to allow me to travel with him.”

“Rin honestly……..I don’t think that for one minute. You would never be a possetion or a prisoner to him.”

“But yet I don’t understand why he desires my company. He hates the very human existence.”

“I think that he wants to give you the right to choose. He doesn’t want you to be afraid of him. He would never want a captive. Maybe somewhere in that iced up heard of his there’s a need to be wanted, or maybe even loved.”

But he doesn’t have to give me a choice. I made the choice to serve him when he returned my life to me.”

“You’re human and I can understand your devotion to him, but the choice is ultimately yours as long as you have a human heart.”

“Then I know what I choose. I believe that I can make the right choice.”

“So you’ve made up your mind then.”

“Yes. I am confident about what my decision is. I will inform him when he wishes to know.”

“Good, then my stay here won’t be a loss then besides today is my birthday. Why don’t you celebrate with me? We could make the guys suffer through a pick-nick with us.”

“Ai, Lady Kagome. I think that would be rather pleasing.”

Inuyasha retreated back across the library to the chair. “Sesshomaru, I think we’ll be joining the women when they get up here. How does a pick-nick sound?”

“A what?”

“A pick-nick. It’s when you pack food and go somewhere outside to eat on a blanket. Human traditions they pass on.”

“Thrilled” he replied in his most monotone expressionless way.

*****ooooo*****

It didn’t take long for the women to pack food and fetch the two males. They set out across the grounds in the direction of the waterfall. They arrived at the waterfall in no time and were placing the blanket on the ground with the food in the center. Everyone took a seat except Sesshomaru. He had chosen to sit next to the waterfall. No one was surprised that he had chosen not to join the group. They would have been more shocked if he had in fact joined, but Rin was just happy that he had agreed to accompany them.

Sesshomaru had chosen to sit next to the waterfall. He had no reason to preside in the playful banter of the group that he could hear behind him. He sat there and let his senses fill with the memory of Rin, and how her hands had run over the depths of her delicate body all the while moaning his name. The simple thought of her had set his demon blood on fire.

He began to notice that the conversations in the group had died down. Everyone had eaten and were ready to start the short trip back to the estate. Kagome had wanted to spend some time alone with Inuyasha so she made up an excuse about being tired. It was a prime opportunity for Rin to be alone with Sesshomaru. Inuyasha helped Kagome pack up the pick-nick and they set off carrying the leftovers. Rin was left sitting on the blanket to stare at her beautiful Master.

She had assessed the fact that he was lost in thought. She wondered what he was thinking about so intently as he gazed upon the waterfall. She remembered her trip to the waterfall a couple of days prior. She was sure that when he had come to retrieve her that he would normally have been mad. The unusual fact was that he wasn’t. The thought that he had been there the whole time crossed her mind for only a second before she dismissed it without another word, but somehow it made it made her a little bold.

Sesshomaru was still in a daze watching the water caress the rocks as it fell over the side of the small cliff. He was almost sure that he was daydreaming when he saw Rin walk past him and begin to remove her clothes. He realized that he wasn’t dreaming when her robe hit him in the face. She had thrown her robe at him. He was slightly amused at what was apparently her attempt to seduce him. He sat there in astonishment wondering how far she would go with her attempt.

He was at least looking at her. Though, she didn’t know if he was admiring her or if he was even concerned with what she was doing. She had been with him long enough to know that she shouldn’t have been dominant towards him, but she needed to know what he was thinking about. He wasn’t about to confide in her and she wasn’t a demon so she couldn’t use his scent to answer her questions, so she only had one resolve left.

His face never changed as he stood from his stone seat and closed the distance between them. He looked down at the shoulder length woman that stood exposed before him. She was beautiful, and she loved him. He knew it; he had overheard her tell Kagome of the fact. He wondered if she would have the heart to say it to him, to expose her deepest feeling to him.

“I wish to know what your feelings are for me.” He stared at her with his golden eyes and she almost thought that he showed a hint of concern, but was sure she was wrong.

“You wish to know what I want from you?”

“No. I only wish to know how you feel about me.”

His gaze was almost a piercing pleading look. It was the first time in nine years that he had shown any sign of having an emotion that wasn’t pain to her. She was a little bewildered as to what he required in her answer, but she was sure that he was asking her to bear his soul to him. It was a rather unexpected request from the demon she had come to know and love. He would normally have no use for an emotion, especially a human emotion.

“Sir ………………. you are……………..you are everything to me.
