Eyes of a Hanyou

A/N: Yes I know it has been awhile since I have updated this story.Therefore I am truely sorry. I was not planning too, but decided against it. I could not let that happen, what kind of authoress would I be to just give up.
I know their was alot of questions unanswered, I took care of them all in this chapter. I do hope you still enjoy this story. Please leave me a review and I will try to update soon.

Chapter 11

Inuyasha woke up next to his mate. He had a large grin on his face, sitting up to look at his woman. “Mine!” He said to himself. He also looked over to his mark and started licking the tender area. She moaned in her sleep. He was very happy that it had worked. “No more bad dreams and no more Kouga.” He said to himself, while drifting back to sleep, holding her petite body close to him.


Naraku with his long black hair and his red beady eyes watched on in the distance unaware to the newly mated couple. With a large white baboon pelt draped over his body, he watched out of the eyes of the pelt. “This should be fun.” He thought, while tossing a shard in the air and catching it with his palm.


Kagome woke up, looking around. “Inuyasha I can sense a jewel shard nearby.” She said, franticly looking for her clothes.

Inuyasha growled throwing his clothes on as well, lifting up Tetsusaiga defensively. “Where is the shard?” He yelled out to his mate.

“It is over there.” She said pointing to a patch of forest off in the distance.

“Stay here!” He demanded as he took off wear the she pointed to the area. When Inuyasha ran closer, he could smell the demon known as Naraku. Inuyasha stopped. “Come out and face me you bastard.” He yelled pointing the Tetsusaiga at the dense patch of forest.


Naraku came out of the clearing with a menacing laugh. “You fool do you think you can honestly defeat me.” Naraku snickered. Before Naraku could get a word in edgewise, Inuyasha attacked him fiercely. Naraku was to fast and Inuyasha missed him. “What a pitiful excuse for a Hanyou.” Naraku chuckled, again moving out of the way while Inuyasha attacked him again.

“Damn!” Inuyasha cursed under his breath.

“I thought I would wait, but I guess I should re-acquaintance you and your new mate too an old friend.” Naraku said with an evil grin.

“What the hell are you talking about, you filth?” Inuyasha questioned, still trying to slash him. He decided that this was getting old and summoned the power of his sword. “Wind scar!” Inuyasha yelled while a burst of energy came flying out of the sword heading toward Naraku. Naraku jumped out of the way, nearly missing the devastating blow.


Kagome ran back to the village, she left her bow and arrows back at Kaede’s she had no time to explain. She needed to get back to her mate quickly. She was not aware, that the scar on the side of her shoulder; had become infected again. Adrenaline rushed through her body as she pushed herself further to the village. When she came to the village, she saw Sango and Miroku in deep conversation. She just ran past them and into the old priestess hut. She found her bow and her quiver and placed them over her shoulder running out of the hut. She left a confused monk and demon slayer, just staring at her.

“What the hell is going on?” Sango said standing up, watching her friend run away. Miroku stood up next to her and placed his arm on her shoulder.

“We should go after her.” Miroku tried to say calmly. Sango nodded her head in agreement. “Kilala!” She called to her faithful cat. Kilala ran over to her in her now transformed form while Sango and Miroku climbed on.


Kilala ran to wear she smelled Kagome. Kagome was still running, she looked like she was tiring fast, but she could not stop. She needed to get to her mate.

“Kagome!” Sango yelled. Kagome looked over to see her friends approaching fast. She stopped, holding her chest, not wanting the tears to fall, fearing the she might be too late. Kilala stopped. “Get on.” Sango ordered. Kagome nodded her head, with the help of the monk; he hoisted her onto the back of the demon. Kagome pointed her finger to wear Inuyasha was. In a great amount of speed, it did not take long for Kilala to reach their destination.

Kagome could see Inuyasha tiring, while Naraku laughed still avoiding Inuyasha’s strikes. “Naraku! This stops now.” Kagome yelled, reading her bow and arrow pointing it at him ready to strike him down. She let her arrow go, a blue light shot through the air, heading straight for the evil Hanyou. A black mist appeared and then an eeriness of laughter echoed in the distance.

“ Soon, you will see your friend again. I promise soon.” Then he was gone. The mist cleared up when Kagome’s purifying arrow went through the blackness.

Inuyasha sniffed the air; he could no longer smell the defying beast. “ He’s vanished, once again.” Miroku said sadly, looking at his hand that still held his deadly curse.


Kagome jumped off the back of the cat demon and ran over to Inuyasha. “Oh my god, are you ok?” She said, with tears in her eyes holding him tightly, around his waist.

Inuyasha was relieved when she jumped into his arms, knowing that she was safe. He could not help to think whom Naraku was talking about, who was their long time friend. His noise wrinkled up when he put his face in Kagome’s neck trying to reassure her that he was ok. “That smell!” He thought trying to hold back a growl. “I know that smell, it is the same smell as Kouga.” He thought sadly. Wanting too desperately believe him-self that his noise was mistaken. He pulled the side of her shirt down exposing the mark. Sure enough, it was back. “How?” He questioned.

“What is the matter Inuyasha?” She asked frantic seeing the look of horror on Inuyasha’s face. “He’s back love, Kouga is back.” He yelled.

“How is this possible, we mated last night you marked me, he was suppose to be gone? How!” She said, now crying harder, and throwing herself tighter in Inuyasha’s chest.


Naraku watched in the safe distance of the forest. He had hidden his presence watching the horror spread across the face of his victims. He laughed maniacally summoning his new weapon. “ Kouga, come too me now, regain what was wrongfully taken from you.” Naraku said closing his eyes, using the last amount of power he had. He left the seen with an evil grin, he could watch of the unfolding take place, safely with Kanna’s mirror.


Naraku made it back to his hiding place, near an abandoned temple. He walked steadily down the hall, after he told Kanna to meet him in his room. He loved remembering the feeling of fear that bestowed over the miko, watching her rape, then the sudden marking the wolf placed on Kagome. Naraku was disappointed when he watched Inuyasha kill the wolf demon. He watched his two brothers take his body and buried him in the field. Naraku watched the ceremony take place, when he knew that they were gone. He unearthed Kouga taking him to the witch Urasue. Urasue was pleased to help Naraku bring Kouga back from the dead. Naraku headed into his room, laughing at his evil scheme. He loved remembering the look on Kouga’s face when he awoke, remembering everything from taking Kagome as his mate and fighting to the death with Inuyasha. Naraku promised him he would be able to reclaim that which was wrongfully, taken from him. Kouga agreed. He also helped him attack her in her dreams. In good faith, Naraku returned his shards back into his legs and placed another two into his arms. Kouga smiled, knowing now that he was much stronger than before he had died.


Miroku and Sango ran up to the couple, wanting to console their friend. When hearing that her mark had returned, they could not help but feel sorry for the newly mated couple. It was bad enough that Kouga had raped her, but watching the emotions coming together was even more upsetting. Watching Kagome relive her horror was enough. Sango was proud to see the strength a couple of days ago coming to terms with her turmoil. Yet again, she had to fight. “Kagome, shh it is ok, we will fix this I promise love, we will fix this.” Inuyasha said trying to calm his mate down, stroking her hair and kissing her forehead.

“ I thought he was gone, I thought that this was over, how, why.” Kagome said only her words where drowned out by her sobs.

Off in the distance Kouga ran in the direction Naraku had pointed. With his newfound speed, he would reach his destination in the early evening. “ I will have what is mine and kill that fucking dog.” He said cruelly.
