Convergence

A/N: LEMON NOW UP, as is the rest of this chapter. I personally guarentee that the next will not take so long and I am anticipating this story to have no more than 20 chapters. I do have a good deal written that just needs to be connected to other parts of the story... Anyway thanks for your patience and your reviews.

The fifth morning rose to find a weakened but completely recovered hanyou holding his mate as she slept. His hand rubbing circles across her swollen belly. The others in the care stirred and relief was evident on their faces as they looked at him.

“So who wants to tell me why my mate smell and feels like my bastard brother?” InuYasha demanded, waking the girl in his arms. “Well?”

Kouga stepped forward. “We went to see him.”

“What?!” InuYasha yelled. “You know what he fucking did and you actually went to see that bastard.” He looked at Kagome. “What the hell were you thinking?”

Kagome bit her lip and tears welled up in her eyes. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be. He was better and she was supposed to be happy, not getting yelled at before she even got the chance to say anything, or to tell him how sorry she was he got hurt because of her.

“Lay off her dog breath.” Kouga shouted. “Did you want your whelps to die? Your bitch’s first duty is to the pups she carries. She showed strength and courage in putting aside her fear to beg a youkai who could have killed her before she even said a word, for his help to save them.”

InuYasha closed his mouth, nearly choking on the words he had been about to say. He looked at his sobbing miko, who had no doubt been scared to death that he was going to die. “Shh... Don’t cry.”

“I’m sorry.” She sniffled. “I didn’t know what else to do. You could have died and I couldn’t lose our babies too. Please don’t be mad at me.”

InuYasha shook his head. “I ain’t mad. You did what you had to for our pups.” He assured her. “I shouldn’t have yelled at you.”

“I’m going to go get some more water.” Sango announced. “Shippou, come with me.” The kitsune nodded. “Miroku gather more wood.”

“You two come with me. We’re going out to hunt.” Kouga said striding toward the entrance of the cave behind the slayer and the monk.

Once they were gone InuYasha nuzzled his mate’s neck and nipped lightly at her mark. “Forgive me koishii. Thank you for saving our pups. You must have been so afraid. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to take care of you.”

“I’m just glad you’re going to be okay.” Kagome told him. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t stronger, that you had to get hurt to protect me. I promise to be a better mate from now on.”

“Don’t be stupid. You’re the best mate I could hope for.” InuYasha insisted. “And if I had died, it would have been worth it to know that you were safe.”

“Don’t say that.” Kagome cried. “You can’t die and leave me. You promised me forever.”

InuYasha smiled at her. “Hey, I’m not going anywhere. I’ve got that bastard Naraku to kill, a mate to protect and three pups to raise. Nothing is going to keep me from doing any of those things, so don’t worry so much wench.”

The group decided it would best to head back to the village, since InuYasha still wasn’t at full strength and Kagome needed more tea. Kouga and his wolves left in favor of tracking Naraku. The wolf youkai promised to send word and keep them updated.

Night was just falling on the seventh day by the time they arrived back at the village. They joined Kaede in her hut and shared a meal with her while they told her what had transpired. By the time they were finished eating InuYasha was at the point where he could no longer ignore Kagome’s scent, which had been becoming steadily sweeter and more arousing since they had arrived.

He stood up. “Come on wench, you haven’t been getting enough rest.”

Kagome looked up at her hanyou mate. His eyes were dark and the hand he was offering her was shaking slightly. She knew her body was calling out to him and the truth was that his heady masculine scent was calling out to her as well. She took his hand and came to her feet.

“Kagome child, I prepared this for you this morning. I knew you would be returning since it has been seven days passed.” Kaede told her.

Kagome took the offered tea. “Thank you.”

“Kagome can I come with you and InuYasha?” Shippou asked jumping up and down in front of her.

“Not tonight Shippou.” Kagome said gently. “I’ll make it up to you tomorrow I promise. We’ll play together and you can sleep with me too, okay?”

She noticed that InuYasha growling a little and she knew it was because she promised to let Shippou sleep with her, but he would get over it, probably before they even reached their home. The little boy pouted for a second before nodding and returning to his place beside Kirara.

“Can we go now?” InuYasha asked impatiently.

“Anxious to spend some time alone are we InuYasha?” Miroku teased.

Kagome’s cheeks pinked but she reached up to rub her hanyou’s ear, effectively keeping him from attacking the monk. She slipped her hand back into his and pulled him out of the hut. As soon as they were outside InuYasha picked her up and raced toward their house.

InuYasha didn’t set her on her feet until they were already in their room. Somehow both managed to quiet their urgency long enough to spend time undressing each other, each offering simple caresses to the other in attempt to sooth their mounting desire.

Both were soon completely free of their clothing and Kagome stepped in her hanyou’s arms. She nuzzled the underside of his chin and breathed deeply. She could feel his desire pressed against her between them. His scent intoxicated her, so powerful and safe. She wanted nothing more than forever in his arms.

When she looked up she noted faint purple slashes on his cheeks and wondered why his youkai seemed to be surfacing, but was unafraid. His lips fell over hers and hiss kiss was almost painful in its tenderness, which led her to believe that he had control over this transformation.

As his body urged hers back onto their bed, she gave up on her thoughts preferring to direct her concentration to the pleasure she was about to receive and then to returning it.

Kagome knew she would never stop being amazed at how attentive a lover her hanyou was, of how he seemed to know her body better than she did herself. His every caress, every scrape of his claws of fangs made her body tingle with pleasure and anticipation.

A soft nip to her nipple drew her attention and she gasped. With teeth, lips and tongue he tortured both her breasts until she was literally aching with desire. Her hanyou made a warm wet trail across her abdomen until he reached her center.

InuYasha pressed his nose against his mate’s core and delighted as his name fell from her lips in a raspy exhalation. He would taste her, bring her to release and only then would he satisfy his own need. He let his tongue brush over her and she cried out, fisting her hands in his hair, holding him to her. He wasted no time in bringing her to her peak.

He crawled up her body and as soon as she was able Kagome captured his lips in a kiss. “Please...” She panted. “I need you.”

InuYasha entered her slowly in a single smooth thrust, and was unable to anything to prevent the ragged groan that escaped him as he was gripped firmly in her moist heat. On his knees her rocked into her time and again, relishing the feel of her as she gripped him and the soft mewls of pleasure falling from her lips.

Before long he leaned forward, careful not to put too much pressure on her growing belly, and gave into her soft pleading that he move faster, and bring her satisfaction. As his beautiful miko came, gripping from the inside she cried out his name. A few short thrusts later he joined her, offering her both his seed and his youki.

Gently Kagome pushed him off of her and rolled over. She pushed a pillow under her belly for support and lifted her self onto her elbows and her knees. She didn’t have to prompt her mate to take his place behind her, because as soon as she was in position she found herself pleasantly filled once again.

Claws hands gripped her hips firmly and her hanyou set a steady pace. She lifted herself onto her hands and soon felt soft nips and wet kissed against her shoulders as her mate leaned over.

InuYasha released one of Kagome’s hips and reached around to stimulate her with his hand. As he stroked her in time with his thrusts she fell forward once again and her soft moans filled his ears. InuYasha tried to prevent it, but he found himself releasing into her. He was thankful that she followed only a moment later. He stayed joined with her as they both recovered waiting to see if his mate was fully satisfied.

“Again.” Kagome pleaded.

“How?” InuYasha asked leaving her.

She sat up and turned, urging him onto his back. InuYasha guided himself into his mate as she lowered herself onto him, straddling his hips. He cupped her breasts as she lifted herself along his length only to take him into herself fully once again. There were no words to describe just how beautiful she looked to him as she sat atop him brining pleasure to them both.

It didn’t take long before she was crying out his name and him hers. Kagome moved off of her hanyou mate and let him pull her into his arms. She kissed the hollow of his throat and then pressed her face against his neck.

“Thank you.” She said quietly. “That was wonderful.”

“Keh, you don’t have to thank me.” InuYasha offered. “You ain’t the only one who enjoyed it.”

Kagome giggled lightly. “I’m glad. I’d hate to think I was forcing you to be with me.”

“Baka wench.” InuYasha chided gently. “If I had my way we’d never leave this room. Now be quiet, go to sleep already.”

Kagome already dozing managed an indignant sort of sound. “You’re lucky I love you dog boy.” She muttered.

InuYasha smoothed the hair of his now sleeping mate. “I know...”

They returned to her era the next day with the intention of staying until after her doctor’s appointment. Both InuYasha and Kagome were surprised to find that her new doctor was a kitsune youkai. Kagome was happy to finally be able to talk to someone about the problems she had been having in her pregnancy that would actually know what was going on.

“For a while I was sleeping all the time and could only eat undercooked meat.” Kagome said.

“Those are both quite normal for a hanyou pregnancy. How long were you sleeping for?” Dr. Takamori asked.

“About 23 hours a day.” Kagome replied.

“And you said this started when?” The physician pressed.

“When I was only several weeks along I guess.” Kagome told her. “But ever since InuYasha’s older brother gave us the family remedy his mother used I’ve been fine.”

“That is unusual, even with multiple births, especially considering that the father is hanyou.” The doctor said thoughtfully. “Though his youki is remarkably powerful. May I ask... Is your father taiyoukai?”

InuYasha cleared his throat. “He was... He was the Inu no Taisho.”

The woman gasped. “You... It’s not possible.”

“What’s not?” Kagome asked gently.

“It is well know that the current Inu no Taisho has been seeking his younger brother for many years. It is rumored that he disappeared long ago.” Dr. Takamori explained. “Are you really the hanyou younger brother of Sesshomaru-sama?”

“Not that I’m proud to be related to that bastard, but yeah.” InuYasha offered grudgingly.

“You won’t tell him where we are, will you?” Kagome questioned, her voice pleading.

“I am not allowed to disclose any patient information to anyone without their consent.” The doctor replied.

Kagome visibly relaxed. She may have been brave enough to go see him to save her babies, but she had thought she was safe from him here. She didn’t want to risk him finding them. “Is there anything else I need to be doing for the babies?”

Slowly the doctor shook her head. “You seem to be doing fine so far. I can give you a prescription that I would prefer you take that should have the same effects as the family remedy you are using now. I guess that’s all for today. Just call me if you have any problems.”

Once they were back at the shrine and in her room, Kagome crawled into InuYasha’s lap and let him hold her. “You don’t he’ll find us do you?”

InuYasha smoothed his mates hair. “Don’t worry about it. If he does I’ll protect you and the pups.”

“I know... I just... It’s always been safe here.” Kagome said quietly.

InuYasha didn’t say anything, choosing instead to hold her more tightly. He had thought something very similar, but didn’t want to upset her further. It bothered him that his bastard brother was looking for him and he wondered what it could mean.

He looked down at Kagome, who was now sleeping peacefully in his arms and couldn’t understand why things always had to be so difficult. All he wanted to do was be with Kagome and raise their pups, but instead he had to deal with the damn jewel and his brother, not to mention killing Naraku and giving Kikyou peace.

He couldn’t even share his constant worry with his mate because he had to be strong for her. They had been warned that it was important to keep Kagome from getting to worked up, that it could be bad for both the pups and her. As if it was good to be dragging her all over Japan chasing youkai.

He knew time was running out. There was no way they could carry three hanyou infants with them on their travels and he didn’t want to, knowing how hanyou were treated. There was also the fact that it wouldn’t be right to leave Kagome to care for the pups all on her own while he went out looking for Naraku. No, the only solution was to find and kill Naraku before Kagome had the babies and he was going to try his best to do just that.
