Chapter Twelve: Worst Nightmare
Well Hello. It didnt take that long. REVIEW AND READ! Or is it the other way around? READ AND REVIEW! Thats better.

"Naraku! Why are you here?!" Sesshoumaru asked.
Naraku smirked. Kyoko had only seen him once, but she knew he was evil from what she was told, and Sesshoumaru's reaction to him.
"That should be obvious." He looked at Kyoko.
Sesshoumaru pushed Kyoko behind him.
"You want her? You'll have to go through me!" He said.
"I think not."
Kyoko suddenly felt dizzy, and she fell, unconcious.
"Mother!" Sesshoumaru knelt down. "What did you do to her?!" He yelled at Naraku.
Sesshoumaru looked at a glowing mark on the side of Kyoko's neck.
"Simple. Last time I met Kyoko, I left a little cut on her neck. Quite useful." Naraku answered, not a bit afraid of Sesshoumaru. The person he was more afraid of was Kyoko, but she was unconcious.
Naraku suddenly disapeared, along with Kyoko.
"No! Mother!" Sesshoumaru yelled, looking around and running through the halls. "That bastard will pay!"
Inuyasha...
Inuyasha walked in the hut, where Kaede was taking care of Kagome, who had become very sick in the last two or three hours. Inuyasha was trying to help Kaede. Every time he had to go get something, he did it reluctantly, because he did not want to leave Kagome's side.
He handed the big bowl of water to Kaede and went to his spot next to Kagome.
She was awake, but seemed to be daydreaming. She was sweating and shivering and there were purple shadows under her eyes. She kept saying odd things like, "Sota, don't change the channel." and "Stupid math test.". Once she had even said 'sit'. Inuyasha didn't like that. He was worried about her, although he wouldn't say that to anyone else. The others hadn't even gotten back yet, but Inuyasha knew they should be back soon.
As if on cue, Shippo walked in, followed by Sango and Miroku.
Shippo was the first to notice Kagome.
"What's wrong with Kagome!?" He asked, running over to her.
"What happened Inuyasha?" Sango asked, doing the same. Miroku followed her.
"Kyoko poisoned her. Don't worry, she won't die." Inuyasha answered, not looking at anyone, but instead up at the top of the hut.
"Kyoko was here?"
"Yeah." Inuyasha told them everything Kyoko had told him.
Everyone was shocked.
"So, you cant hurt Kyoko, but you can't let her take the portal." Miroku said.
"No, she already has it. I couldn't stop her." Inuyasha said, looking away.
Suddenly he was hit in the head with Miroku's staff.
"What the hell was that for?!" He yelled.
"Sometimes you can be so stupid Inuyasha! Do you realize that now, Kagome can still die because you let Kyoko take the portal?! That was a really stupid thing to do, Inuyasha!"
Miroku was slammed against the wall, Inuyasha holding him by the neck.
"You think I dont know that, you stupid monk?! You think I don't know that Kagome can die either way?! I had to make a choice! At least there is less chance of her dying by letting Kyoko have the portal!"
Miroku yelled back, "She tricked you Inuyasha! Do you think she would have let you kill her?! Do you think Sesshoumaru would have let you kill her?! She tricked you by using Kagome's life!"
Inuyasha's eyes widened and he dropped Miroku.
'He is right. Kyoko is beyond stronger than me, and now she knows how to dodge the wid scar. I couldn't have killed her. I probably could barely hurt her. She has to protect Kagome, or else she will die. Now she has no clue she is going off to kill herself again.'
Inuyasha looked at Kagome, who had just made a sudden noise of pain.
"What the--"
There was a glowing cut on Kagome's neck. It was obviously causing her pain. Suddenly, she went unconcious.
"What just happened?" Sango asked.
"It must be Kyoko. I saw Kyoko get that cut. It was when Naraku came. He gave it to her."Inuyasha answered.
"But Inuyasha," Shippo started. Inuyasha looked at him. "That means that Naraku has Kyoko!"
Inuyasha realized he was right.
"Shit! Kagome put a spell that keeps Naraku from being able to take the shard. That means Kyoko hs the shard, and if Naraku tortures Kyoko, then Kagome will feel every bit of it. I don't know if she could handle that." Inuyasha said.
"We have to go rescue Kyoko then!" Miroku said.
So they went off to go save Kyoko. Not knowing that they weren't the only ones going to rescue her.
Sesshoumaru...
"Naraku, if you hurt her, I will murder you by tearing off your limbs, one by one." Sesshoumaru said angrily as he sped through the trees.
Kagura...
"Naraku, I honestly think that this is a bad idea." Kagura said, looking at the unconcious Kyoko.
"I didn't ask for your opinion, did I?"
Kagura didn't answer.
"I already know that I can't take the shard from her on my own. That's not what Im after. If I can convince her to help me, then I can defeat anyone in my way."
Kagura asked, "How? She cant be that strong."
"Oh but she is. She is mumuchmuch stronger than I am, and could kill me with ease. Thats why I want her on my side." Naraku answered.
'You shouldn't have told me that.' Kagura thought.
"What if she doesn't want to help?"
"Then I will make her."
Kagome's dream...
Kagome walked through an empty darkness.
"Where am I?" Her voice echoed.
Suddenly, she saw a vision in front of her.
It was her. And Kyoko. Except Kyoko wasn't facing her. She was facing in the other direction. But she was different somehow. Kagome walked up to her and she turned around. But she was different. She had a bloodthirsty look on her face, and long fangs, red eyes and sharp claws. She growled and...
Kagome sat up quickly, feeling completely cured. Something about that dream had cured her.
"What is wrong, Kagome?"
Kagome looked at Kaede.
"Where is Inuyasha?" Kagome said fast.
"Dont ye worry. Go back to sleep."
"Im not sick anymore! Where is everyone?!"
"They went to go rescue Lady Kyoko. She was kidnapped by Naraku. Which is why ye have to stay here."
'But if Kyoko is tortured, I will feel it!'
Kagome got up and ran outside.
Suddenly she heard something.
Sesshoumaru...
Sesshoumaru sped through the trees angrily. Suddenly he smelled a trace of his brother and his comrades. But the miko was not with them.
"Damn you Inuyasha."
'I really don't want to help that human, but if she gets hurt, so does my mother...so...'
He went in the direction of the village where Kagome was. He really didn't want to, but was worried for his mother.
Kagome...
Seshoumaru walked out of the trees.
"Sesshoumaru! Waht are you doing here?!" She yelled.
"Shut up, human. I am not here to kill you. Though I'd much rather do that. Im here to take you with me to go rescue my mother."
"Huh?"
"I would much rather kill you, but your safety is my mother's safety. Now decide beefore I change my mind and leave you here."
Kagome nodded,walking over to Sesshoumaru. She got on his back and he sped off. He fought back a growl, as he really did not like carrying people on his back. Especially this arrogant woman.
Kagome did not speak to Sesshoumaru, as she knew that he still hated her, and he was only bringing her because he was worried for his mother.
They soon came upon Inuyasha and everyone else, which was not really a good thing.
Inuyasha...
"I smell my brother." Inuyasha said. And sure enough, Sesshoumaru was right next to him with ...Kagome on his back.
Inuyasha stopped, as did everyone else, including Sesshoumaru.
"Put her down!" Inuyasha yelled at Sesshoumaru.
"Gladly." Sesshoumaru said, dropping Kagome on the ground.
"Hey!" Kagome said, getting up. Sesshoumaru just took one glace at her like she was stupid amd glared at Inuyasha.
"Where are you going, Inuyasha?"
"Im going to go rescue your mother. You cant do it alone. Not if he turns her against you." Inuyasha answered.
"He can't do that."
"Yes he can, Sesshoumaru." Kagome said. "He has done it to other people. You shuld team up with us for now. Then when Kyoko is safe, you two can try to kill eachother again." She added with a slight positive note.
Sesshoumaru considered it. He knew if she was turned against him, he couldn't fight her alon. so....
"Fine then. I will go with you only to rescue her. Once she is safe, I will waste no time killing you Inuyasha."
Inuyasha nodded.
"Me neither."
Kagome knew that there would not be one good thing said between the two brothers.

The next chapter will be slightly scary.
By the way, does anyone know how I can get Kyoko to be tortured by Naraku, and have the same pain happen to Kagome at the same time, but not have to go back and forth, but also not having to e eve everything over again? If you have an Idea email me at DarknessDreams16@aol.com .
