With a low growl in his throat,
Baroux signaled his clan to completely surround Inuyasha and the others. Riquo
slowly knelt down to one of the cheetahs that stayed with her and meowed something
in her ear. I want you and the others to
create a barricade between us and the villagers, understand? You are
responsible for their safety if the battle starts here in the village.
The cheetah growled in response and turned to alert the
others, but a wolf stood in her way. Realizing she was completely surrounded,
the lone cheetah started hissing and growling at the wolves. Sango narrowed her
eyes and saw a way to free the cheetah so he could tell the others about
whatever plan Riquo had come up with.
"Kilala!"
Roaring with all she had, Kilala faced the wolves in the
cheetah's way and blasted them with a fire technique. Using all the speed he
could muster the cheetah ran off towards the villagers.
"After him!" Baroux
shouted.
"DON'T MOVE BAROUX! HE IS NOT YOUR CONCERN!"
roared Riquo.
Baroux chuckled, "That's right. You are."
Inuyasha was the first to step forward, "What do you
mean you want Riquo back? She was never yours!"
"Oh, but she was. You think Kouga found you first?
Wrong. We found you first and when we took you to our den, Kouga showed up in
all of his fucking windy glory and stole you from us!"
Shouts erupted from the clan surrounding them. Riquo stood
stock still, horror on her face. Why
would Kouga do something like that? Then it hit her. Her clan was
ally to Kouga's. Kouga knew what Baroux's clan was like. Most likely, had Kouga
not kidnapped her from them, she would have been their whore or their tool for
reproduction.
Riquo snorted, "You're pathetic." Baroux jolted back, "What?!" "I have been living with Kouga for two years!
