Pulling out his billfold, Sesshoumaru removed a rather large wad of bills and began dividing them into three piles. As the men watched in silence, the piles grew larger until he finally handed over more money than any of them had ever seen at one time in their whole lives. Though in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't really all that much money, but to three men who had barely had two dimes to rub together most of their lives, it was as though they had just won the lottery.

After inviting them to stay for supper, Inuyasha offered the three men the barn for the night once more; suggesting they might want to rest up before heading off on their way once more. Gladly accepting, they followed them back into the dinning area where the women had prepared. After a hearty and conversation filled meal, the three of them retired to the barn without any words passing between them. Though his body language showed no sign of his annoyance, Jakotsu had been looking forward to spending some alone time with Bankotsu, especially after what he had said to him before the storm.

He wanted to show him just how much his words had meant to him, but that couldn't happen as long as there was a third wheel with them. But, Jakotsu pointed out to himself with a smile in the dark, he only needed to wait one more day and they would be alone together once more.
