Sesshoumaru watched as Inuyasha held Fuyuki while Kagome got herself together grabbing out a brush from the bag to comb her long hair free of snarls before getting up from the floor to follow the men to the kitchens.
When they got there Inuyasha could smell something good coming from the dining room.
“It smells like cooked eggs and ham.”
Inuyasha stated as he enjoyed the scent of the cooked food.
Sesshoumaru smiled at his Otouto whose stomach started grumbling.
“Well I am certain you can have as much ham and eggs as you please. Is there a favorite dish you would like the cooks to make?”
Inuyasha thought about pancakes since Kagome’s Haha mad e pancakes for him when he stayed at her house, but he had no idea on how to make them.
“I really like pancakes with syrup and butter on them. I don’t know if the cook can make them, but maybe if you could explain how to make them Kagome, the cooks might be able to create some for us.”
Kagome had made pancakes from scratch before, but hers were no near as fluffy and light as her Haha’s.
“Well I know that we have maple that we transfer into a type of syrup Inuyasha and we do have homemade butter. I am certain with your Tsuma’s help you can have the cooks prepare you a feast of these pancakes.”
Kagome gave Fuyuki to his Father as she explained to the kitchen staff how to make pancakes which was one thing she did not botch up when it came to her cooking.
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha sat at the dinner table drinking some hot tea while waiting for their breakfast.
Sesshoumaru had to admit it was nice having company in his castle. It was almost too quiet when he came home having to do his paperwork and Lord duties. He also had to deal with the council of elders, but lately other than harping on him about producing an heir, Sesshoumaru really did not have to deal with them much since he was doing a superb job even exceeding his Chichi when it came to diplomatic situations.
Now that Naraku was no longer a thorn in his side, Sesshoumaru was able to spend more time at the castle which meant eventually he had to settle down to raise a family and of course up the servant staff since there were two women now living at his castle who would need the skills of a maid’s hands. There was also the nursery he had to have added onto his castle along with a proper birthing chamber.
Trying to find the best way to approach Inuyasha about his capabilities of being able to bear a child of his blood was not an easy task. Somehow, he had to inform Inuyasha of his condition and slowly work his way from being just his Ani to becoming his mate in all ways.
This morning he would approach Inuyasha about his capabilities to bear fruit of his loins so that Inuyasha could see his true value and understand why he was indeed weaker during these next few months without angering his Otouto too much.
The one thing he did set up for all the members of his house, including guests, was to have everyone visit the healer today. Good health was important and just in case something happened it would be best that his guests and family knew the healer personally.
“Inuyasha, today I expect you and your Tsuma to go to the healers for a checkup.”
Inuyasha frowned.
“Why, we ain’t sick?”
Sesshoumaru smiled.
“It is not because I think you are ill Otouto. It is because everyone who is staying here should know where the healer is located in the castle and just in case you need to see him for any reason you will know who to go to. It is only a check up; no one is asking you to do anything more than insure you are in good physical condition.’
“There is something more I wish for you to check as well. You stated that when the fox demon raped you he claimed you are a bearer. We need to find out if such is true since it will explain why you are weaker than you should be. I believe your heat may be causing this which is why when you pushed me you could not budge me from that spot. I have seen and experienced your attacks before and normally you could shove me at least a few steps back.”
Inuyasha wanted to act out and punch his Ani in the face, but fact was he did indeed feel weaker during this time of year for the last three years. Inuyasha would never admit it, but he also wanted to know if he could produce young since after watching his wife give birth it would be pretty intense if he could do the same thing.
“Well, I ain’t just going to roll over for some guy if I am a bearer. I know how that kind of sex feels and it is not good.”

In fact it keeps the bloodlines pure and insures that lands that might belong to the heir of a throne to keep such intact rather than offering their inheritance to a neighboring Kingdom. Politically it is best for families like ours to keep their lands and wealth inside the family so that our people do not have to worry about who will be their next ruler.”
Inuyasha frowned and his ears wilted a bit.
“But I am a hanyou. My blood is not pure Sesshoumaru.”

“A bearer has full blood demon offspring Inuyasha. Your being a hanyou is not an issue and fact is it never was an issue. I should have seen your worth before now, but I was too busy feeling anger towards Chichi who I felt abandoned my Haha and me. I apologize for this Inuyasha and hope you will forgive me.”
Inuyasha was shocked. Sesshoumaru never apologized to anyone ever.
“Inuyasha, I would like you to stay here with me, but fact is I forced you to leave what you consider your home. It is my doing because I wish for you to learn to be a Lord since this is your rightful title and this home was one of Chichi’s many castles. It belongs to you as much as it belongs to me. I would like you to rule with me at my side as my Otouto and if you can find it in your heart to forgive this Sesshoumaru as your mate.’
“I am not asking you to leave your tsuma. In fact I wish for you both to remain here with me. The only thing that would change is the fact you both will sleep in my room most nights unless you do not wish to. I am leaving this up to you and I want you to think about it before you decide.”
Inuyasha did not know what to say. His Ani was being very welcoming and Inuyasha knew his Ani would not lie to him or anyone for that fact. Sesshoumaru didn’t have to lie.
Still, Inuyasha kind of wanted to go back to the village. Both he and his tsuma felt at home there, but fact was Sesshoumaru stated this castle was partly his too and here he wouldn’t have to worry about providing for his wife and family. They would be well provided for.
“What is the catch to all of this Sesshoumaru?”
Sesshoumaru smiled.
“All I ask is for you to give me the chance to woo you properly and for you to share one night with me so that I may prove to you that being intimate with a male is not unpleasant.”
Inuyasha thought about it.
“I need to talk to my tsuma first before I decide. I don’t want to do anything that would make Kagome feel unpleasant.”
Sesshoumaru nodded.
“I agree. I do however wish to claim you verbally for now if that is acceptable? It will get my Haha off my back about producing an heir if you would at least agree to this much after we find out if you are a bearer of course.”

“So you only want to mate me if I bear you a child otherwise I am just another hanyou for you to kick around………”

“I will still want you even if you cannot bear a child for me. I had been thinking long and hard about this all night last night Otouto. I do not wish to be alone in this castle and eventually Rin will be leaving to live with Kohaku as her mate. I am tired of searching for a mate that is acceptable. So far none but you have captured my eye. You are beautiful Inuyasha and although my original goal was to kill you after training you I have to admit if I was to kill you than you would have died long ago. Something inside of me wishes for you to live and for you to live at my side.’
“I can always claim Fuyuki as my heir or we will find me a female demon that can produce for me without having to mate. I would of course prefer that my heir be born from your loins, but I will not choose one without us both agreeing to such a thing.”
Inuyasha thought about that. He was shocked to say the least. His Ani really wanted him, but how could he just jump into this situation without consulting his tsuma? Even to verbally claim something like this was a big deal. It meant Inuyasha would have to forgive Sesshoumaru for a lot of shit that he did to him in the past not to mention the shit he pulled forcing Inuyasha to leave the house he had built with his two hands.
Truth was Inuyasha would be happier, his tsuma would be happier if they stayed in the village. But then there was Fuyuki’s future to consider. Just because Inuyasha and Kagome were happy living in what Sesshoumaru would probably consider poverty did not mean that was the future he wanted for his pup.
“Sesshoumaru, give me a chance to speak to my tsuma and then we will go from there. So far I agree with you verbally claiming me, but my tsuma is important to me and I don’t want her to feel like I am doing something behind her back. I am sure she will not mind, but I ain’t promising anything.”
