As The Hourglass Spins

Lucian had remained awake the whole night trying to figure out what he was doing wrong. In the past he had his people rise up against him only to fail and die at his feet. That kind of thing was getting rather old and Lucian did want to change so that he could understand how this era dealt with things.

His biggest problem was Sesshoumaru and getting him to understand that he was not just going to go away. Once Lucian mated fully to anyone he simply refused to let go of them even if he could unmate them. Lucian refused to be alone for the rest of his life now that Celebrían had left him. Sesshoumaru and his mates’ acceptance of him was crucial if he were to continue to exist in this world and that was the only reason he was being lenient with his new mates.

Hurting Megan was not something Lucian had planned especially after she shared herself with him. It had been the best sex he had in years and he was hopeful that his two males would be as open with him as Megan had been.

Megan tried to warn Lucian about her mates and showed him that she did have power as most women do over certain aspects of a man’s life. However, Megan was also a bitch who needed to learn her place in his life. Lucian was used to strong women, but they were nothing like Megan. He had never met an independent woman before and this little cat demoness seemed to hold an Alpha position to her mates which was unusual indeed.

Lucian understood that the females of the cat tribes were the leaders, but even the few cat demonesses he knew would not talk to him in such a disrespectful manner knowing full well that Lucian would kill women who defied him especially in front of other demons.

Getting up and out of the bed Lucian stretched a bit before he materialized a nice black suit with a silver button up shirt not wearing a tie this time leaving a few buttons open since he wanted to give off the image that he was easy going. If they went out of the mansion though, he would insist upon a tie.

Removing the sleep spell only took a moment and he watched in amusement as Sesshoumaru woke up abruptly.

“Damnit all to hell………”

Sesshoumaru growled not pleased with himself since he was to keep vigil over his little Megan.

Lucian smirked.

“I held the watch boy so there is no need to panic. Megan is still healing, but I believe she will no longer be in as much pain as she was last night. You can give her some of your blood today and that should help her heal a bit faster.”

Sesshoumaru frowned wishing to the gods that Lucian had been just a bad dream, but of course he was not.

Inuyasha soon woke up also feeling a bit sore from the scrap he had with Lucian. He like Sesshoumaru thought it was just a nightmare until he saw that Lucian was still in the room.

“Can I talk now Sesshoumaru?”

Inuyasha stated growling as he got out of bed and started to get dressed.

“I don’t think I could stop you from talking Inuyasha. You will eventually say what is on your mind, just do it a little quieter since Megan is still resting.”

Inuyasha finished putting on his t shirt than he marched over to Lucian and punched the man in the jaw.

“That’s for Megan since she can’t do it herself.”

Lucian looked down at the pup and rubbed his jaw a bit.

“I guess that was necessary Inuyasha?”

Sesshoumaru growled at his mate wishing some days his little brother would be more subtle than always using the direct approach. Problem was Inuyasha was always to the point in his own blunt way no matter how many times Sesshoumaru had tried to teach Inuyasha to curb his temper a bit.

Inuyasha was really pissed off.

“Damn straight it was. Now I am going to go surfing again. Do not send anyone after me and you…….”

Inuyasha pointed at Lucian.

“Keep your paws off Megan or next time I will seriously hurt you.”

Megan moaned and Sesshoumaru sighed. The word quiet was not in Inuyasha’s vocabulary.

“Inuyasha………”

Megan mumbled out.

Sesshoumaru gave his little brother the death glare and Inuyasha frowned knowing he was in trouble again.

Inuyasha climbed back onto the bed and looked down at his beloved.

“Sorry Megan, I didn’t mean to wake you.”

Megan opened her eyes which was a mistake since everything was blurry.

“Are you alright? Did that bastard hurt you?”

Sesshoumaru felt a lump in his throat as did Inuyasha. Of course Megan wasn’t concerned for herself. She had rushed in to protect Inuyasha and hoped she had at least inflicted some damage to the asshole who tried to dominate her mate.

“I am fine Megan. No one hurt me.”

Inuyasha said as he kissed Megan’s forehead.

Sesshoumaru also slid onto the bed as he ran his fingers gently over his Megan’s cheek.

“Everyone is fine except for you my love. How are you feeling today?”

Megan frowned.

“It is all blurry. I can’t see either one of you.”

Lucian looked at Sesshoumaru as Sesshoumaru’s body tightened and tears formed.

“Get out Lucian.”

Sesshoumaru snarled.

Lucian sighed and proceeded to walk out as Inuyasha pointed to the door. Inuyasha’s face was also covered in tears.

“You will both have to deal with me eventually.”

Lucian stated as he went into the computer room where he started his studies again on this era since he doubted at least for the time being that he was not going to get anywhere with his stubborn mates.

Sesshoumaru had Inuyasha call Hojo again as he fed Megan his powerful blood. He hoped that bastard Lucian was right about his blood.

Megan latched onto Sesshoumaru’s wrist letting the blood flow down her throat until her eyes adjusted themselves to the room and nothing was blurry any longer.

Sesshoumaru felt Megan lick his wound until it was closed. Then Inuyasha fed her his blood also trying to help heal his little wife as quickly as possible.

Megan accepted Inuyasha’s blood and drank until the pain in her neck faded. After closing Inuyasha’s wounds Megan tried to sit up on her own only to have Sesshoumaru gently push her back down.

“You cannot get out of bed yet my love. Your ribs and neck need to heal.”

Megan pouted.

“I feel fine. See……”

Megan turned her head to the left and to the right without pain. It was just her left side that still ached a bit.

Looking at her hair she saw blood and felt the back of her head where only a small bump remained. Then she looked at all the blood that stained the white pillowcase.

“Sesshoumaru there is blood in my hair and all over the pillow. I am certain I look a total wreck. What gives?”

Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha both sighed. They knew they should have washed the blood out of her hair, but they both were afraid that it would reopen the wound.

“Your skull was cracked and there was a lot of blood. We didn’t want to mess with it until Hojo comes to look at it again.”

Inuyasha stated tried to explain.

Megan frowned at Inuyasha.

“That means that damn donut hater Hojo is going to be messing with me again and it is all Lucian’s fault.”

Sesshoumaru didn’t want to admit to the fact that Lucian may be right about some things, but he couldn’t let his mates completely blame the Ancient. It was indeed his fault for not explaining Lucian’s law and educating them about Lucian.

“Megan, it was my fault, your fault, and Lucian’s fault. I should have explained to you both about Lucian so that you would have had a chance to prepare yourselves.’
“You both being so hot headed sometimes cause some of your problems and you must take some responsibility for your actions.’
“It is Lucian’s fault for not controlling his temper and for hitting my mate since no man no matter how powerful is allowed to hurt you or Inuyasha.”

Megan rolled her eyes at Sesshoumaru.

“I am not talking about the fight Sesshoumaru. I am glad some of that was my fault since the bastard was picking on my Inuyasha and got what he deserved I hope. It gives me the opportunity to give Lucian a guilt trip that he won’t be able to shrug off.’
“I am talking about making me go to the damn hospital again because you both know that Hojo lives to torment us and is a closet pervert. I don’t want to have to put up with him. He still has that damn crush on me and I am not going to put up with it.’
“Lucian might be useful in that aspect since the man can set Doctor Feelgood straight since you two seem to live for making my life hell by agreeing with Hojo since he tricks you into believing his intentions are pure. I tell you both that man is evil.”

Inuyasha smirked a little trying not to laugh out loud and Sesshoumaru did his best to keep a straight face.

“Where is that bastard Lucian anyway? I want to give him a few words of advice and set his ass straight. No one messes with my mates unless they want pain. I may not be able to physically fight him, but I can make him feel like total shit. See that is what happens when you mess with me and that pompous full of himself asshole is going to get an earful.”

Lucian returned to the room at the sound of Megan’s voice. Perhaps if she forgave him for his actions his two males would forgive him too.

“I heard my name. Am I allowed to enter now?”

Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha leaned back against the wall waiting for the show to begin.

“Ok, first of all Lucian WHAT THE FUCK? DO YOU THINK IT IS OK TO HIT WOMEN AND PICK ON MY MATES! WELL IT AIN’T OK WITH ME SO IF YOU EVER WANT SEX AGAIN YOU HAD BETTER STOP THINKING IN THE OLD WAYS SINCE THIS IS THE FUTURE BABE AND I AM NOT GOING TO PUT UP WITH YOU TRYING TO CHANGE THINGS WHEN SO FAR EVERYONE I KNOW LOVES SESSHOUMARU AS HE IS! YOU WERE NOT INVITED HERE YOU JUST SHOWED UP AND I WILL NOT PUT UP WITH YOU!”

Megan then got up from the bed making her mates protest.

“Megan get your ass back into bed.”

Hojo stated after arriving.

“DON’T YOU ORDER ME AROUND YOU PERVERT! I AM NOT DONE WITH THIS ASSHOLE YET!”

It took all three of Megan’s mates to pin her down to the bed.

“You are too injured still to get out of bed woman.”

Sesshoumaru growled at Megan who was holding both of her clawed hands above her head.

“Fucking control freaks get off of me! I am not done with Lord Dumbass yet!”

Thrashing about in the bed Hojo was at least pleased to see that her neck bones had finally healed. Then he reached over to check her ribs. They were pretty close to being done.

“Your ribs are still damaged on the left side sweetheart. You will be going to the hospital so we can also check for any damage done to your brain since your skull was cracked.”

Megan growled as her eyes turned red.

“My brain is just fine you nit wit! Now let me go!”

Lucian was surprised how much energy and power Megan held for someone so tiny. Of course five foot five was tiny to any man who was over six feet tall and her mates were at least seven to eight feet tall except Inuyasha who was six feet and five inches tall.

“Will you bastards get off of me! I am just fine and I ain’t gonna go to no bloody hospital!”

Hojo shook his head and tried not to find too much humor in this whole situation. Pulling out a shot needle he filled the syringe with a light sedative that he had used once before on Megan. It seemed to also work quite well on Sesshoumaru so he hoped that Lucian’s blood in the three of them would not counteract this medication.

Using an alcohol wipe, Hojo proceeded in giving Megan the shot which only made her angrier.

“Stop sticking needles in me you jerk! I ain’t gonna put up with this………….”

Megan stated as finally she settled down and was out cold.

The three men got off of the bed and Hojo scowled at them all.

“I can’t believe the three of you cannot control your female when she is injured. You know all that struggling possibly caused more damage to her than good.”

Lucian gave the healer a stern glance.

“Megan does not want to go to this hospital place. Why should she go when we can provide care for her here?”

Lucian stated, but Inuyasha just shook his head.

“You don’t understand anything do you ya moron. Megan needs to go to the place where people have machines that can look at her insides to make sure she is fine. Just because Doctor Hojo is a pervert doesn’t mean Megan will suffer him since we are all going with her.”

Hojo frowned at that thought, but most likely it would be for the best if all of her mates were with her since otherwise they would be calling him every five minutes to find out if she was ok.

“Will she have to stay overnight?”

Sesshoumaru asked getting ready to pack if this was necessary.

“We won’t keep her there, we are just going to do a few tests and then you can take Megan back home. I do know that you can dress her now in her clothing. Something soft like her pajamas would be good and maybe those bunny slippers that Tsukiya gave her would make Megan happy.”

After Hojo left the room, Lucian watched his mates dress Megan into some light pink cotton pajamas that looked like white bunny rabbits were running all over them and Inuyasha brought out a pair of slippers that looked like they had two white rabbits sitting on them.

“Are those made from real rabbits?”

Lucian stated as he sniffed the air for the smell of rabbit fur and leather.

“No they are just stuffed animals. I will explain about them later.”

Sesshoumaru stated as he lifted Megan into his arms.

They went down to the limousine that was waiting for them. Tahoe had just finished cleaning it up and hoped that it was up to par with Lord Sesshoumaru.

Tahoe being a member of the wolf tribe understood that Lord Lucian was also coming and he was not pleased at all to see him although he would not cause a scene and would show the utmost respect unless Sesshoumaru gave the word to attack. The whole wolf tribe was up in arms about their beloved Lady Megan being slammed into a wall by an Ancient who should have known better.

Sesshoumaru carried his precious bundle into the limousine and kept her on his lap until they reached the hospital.
