Chapter 11:

Kagoru woke up to the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. He found his head in Inutaisha's lap. She was gently combing her hands through his hair. "Are you grooming me?" He asked with a smile.

Inutaisha smiled back. "Partly. I like the feel of your hair."

"How long have you been up?"

"A few hours."

"Why didn't you bother waking me up?"

"You needed your rest."

"It felt good."

"I'm glad."

"Well lets go." Kagoru said as he stood up. "I'm sure the others are worried."

"Yes." Inutaisha agreed though she did not feel that she wanted to go because of Kimi.

Grabbing her arm he said, "Don't worry Inutaisha. Everything will be okay."

"I know. I just don't want Kimi to bother us."

"We need her help to defeat Naraka."

Inutaisha shook her head. "I don't think so. You are so good at archery now and we all work great as a team. We don't need her."

"Inutaisha," He said as he helped her up to her feet, "I know you and Kimi have your differences but can you try to work them out?"

"No. She is threatening our existence as mates."

"Inutaisha. Please."

They began walking towards the village. Inutaisha took angry steps while Kagoru followed her. "Alright. I warn you if she lays a finger on you I will rip it off. I have warned her. It will be her own damn fault if she does not heed."

"Thank you."

She grasped his hand. "It's going to be you and me from now on Kagoru. After we defeat Naraka then we can concentrate on having a family."

"A family?"

"Yes. Is that a problem?"

"Well no but...I want to finish school."

"And you can do that while we are raising a family."

"Alright." He figured he could discuss the children topic later on.

When Kagoru and Inutaisha arrived they found their friends waiting for them. Mirra gave Inutaisha a look as if to say, I know what you were doing, then winked at her. Inutaisha sat down then said, "What is your problem?"

"Nothing." Mirra answered.

"Mmmhmm. What is on your mind?"

"Did you?"

"Did I what? Stop talking jibberish."

"Did you and Kagoru uhh.."

"Have sex?"

"Yeah."

"I exercised my right over him. In other words yes. Not that it is your business."

"No...It isn't your right. I know you were mad yesterday."

"Very."

"What are you going to do about Kimi?"

"Nothing as of now."

"We have to focus on finding Naraka."

"I know Mirra."

"I'm working on it."

"So what did you and Kagoru do besides have sex?"

"None of your business and if you ask about it again I am going to hit you."

"Point taken."
