The Races

Chapter 12

Inside Kagome had made it to their room and was sitting on the bed looking through what looked like a phone book that held her friends number’s. She looked up at Sesshoumaru as he entered the room. “Sesshoumaru where is your phone?”

“In the sitting room, why?” He replied.

Kagome got up and walked to the door, “I wish to call my friends in America.” With that she walked into the hallway and down to Inu No Tashio’s study.

She knocked on the door and waited until she got the ok to enter. “Inu No Tashio, sir.” She started.

“My dear girl you are going to be my daughter soon I don’t want any of this Inu No Tashio Sir stuff, call me Tashio, Inu, or dad.” He paused a second, “What was it you needed my dear?”

Kagome looked at him, she forgot what she wanted until she looked down at her hand to find her phone book. ‘Oh yeah’ “Can I use the phone to call America?”

Inu looked at her ‘Is she serious. She’s asking to use the phone.’ “Of course you can use it when ever you need. Call where ever we can call all over the world because of the business.” He looked at her, “Was there any thing else you needed?”

“Um… yeah,” She paused and shifted nervously. “Can I have friends over this week-end like Saturday to Sunday?” At his nod she continued. “and I would like to invite my friends over from America to meet evey one here as well as you and your family, if that is ok. I mean I can pay for there tickets and every thing we wont be any trouble and I taught them all to speak Japanese so that will not be a problem either.” Kagome rambled on and Inu just looked at her.

“My girl slow down, I have no problem with you inviting who ever here, when ever as far as plane fair that is not a problem if you wish to pay fine if not I can cover that easily as well.” Inu laughed at her facial expression it was between shock and disbelief it was quite the look.

Kagome just stood there and looked at him, ‘Was he serious?’ “Really?” she finally got out.

“Yes, now go and use the phone I am sure your friends would love to hear from you.” Inu said as he thought ‘I wonder if Tasukie was that meant to her or if she is just being polite.’
She ran out of the room and into the sitting room. She sat down on the couch, ‘It’s about 4 pm here so it’s
about 12 am there.’ She thought, I will call Allyson she is usually up until all hour of the night.

With that she dialed her up. “Hello?” Came voice on the other end after a couple a rings.

“Ally, its Kagome.”

“Oh my god, Kagome, what have you been up to? Are you enjoying Japan?” Allyson asked.

“Well let’s just say that my stay has been interesting so far I have so much to tell you guys, what are all of you doing not this coming weekend but the next?” Kagome asked. “The stuff I have to tell you would be better said in person.” Kagome said.

“I will ask the girls, I have your number on my caller I.D can I call you at this?” Allyson asked.

“Yeah if no one answers or I’m not home leave a message and I will call you when I get it. Ok tell the others I call and to clear there schedules cause they are coming to visit. I will introduce you to some of my new friends and maybe through a party but I have to get it cleared.” Kagome commented. “Well I’ll let you get back to sleep or Trevor which ever. Nite.” Kagome said.

“Good night Kagome.” With that the girls hung up.

“It is good to see you so happy Kagome. Perhaps we should just move those girls over here.” Sesshoumaru commented to her.

“I do not think that their families or boyfriends would like that very much.” Kagome laughed, she could just see Allyson telling Trevor that she was moving to Japan with her, ‘Yeah that would go over real well.’ She thought as she flipped through her book to find Sango’s number.

As she dialed it out Sesshoumaru came and sat beside her. “Hello?” Sango’s voice came on.

“Sango its Kagome,” She started but was interrupted.

“Ha ha you fell for it, I’m not in right now so leave your mom in a shoe box after the tone and I’ll get back to you.” Sango’s answering machine said then beeped.

“Sango you ass, I talked to Inu No Tashio you can come over tomorrow night to stay until Sunday, call me back.” With that Kagome hung up.

“Geez you would think that the girl was in third grade I am assuming you heard her answering machine.” She asked Sesshoumaru.

Of course he heard it his hearing was impeccable. He had to admit that the answering machine was a bit dumb. Some thing he expected from Inuyasha. “Hn, Inuyasha had something like that last year.”

Kagome burst into laugher at that, ‘Yeah I so had that called in my head.’ “Where Sango, Miroku, and Inuyasha ever friends before, you know, before I met them?” Kagome asked.

Sesshoumaru thought a second, “Yes about two years ago they were the best of friends I guess, but after he started to see Kikyo he started to push them away and now they rarely talk.”

Kagome nodded her head, “Which reminds me, why is Inuyasha into the races and they are not?”

“Well originally we all were, but that is where I met Kikyo and they started not to come I guess in a show of a protest.” So into their conversation that neither noticed Inuyasha enter the room they were a bit surprised when he started to talk.

“I’m sorry, Inuyasha. I should have asked you, I had no right to pry.” Kagome began to apologize.

Inuyasha just laughed, “Come now that were are to be siblings it is ok, Besides I am sure that there will be things, as I get to know you, that I will be curios about, and one thing you should learn about Inu’s right now is that they share every thing.”

“Aren’t you mad at them, they abandoned you. I would be mad about something like that. I mean if my friends did not approve of my boy friends they were dropped like that” Kagome snapped her fingers, “but there were only a few but if I really liked him I would want them to stand behind me not abandon me.”

Sesshoumaru tensed when Kagome mentioned that she would drop her boy friends if they didn’t approve ‘What if they don’t like me?’

But he was interrupted by Kagome, “They will not have much of a choice with Sesshoumaru because of the situation. I can not change it so they will have to accept it and deal.” Kagome said, she still sounded a bit bitter about the whole thing.

Inuyasha left the room, “You still do not want to mate with me do you?” Sesshoumaru asked.

“It is not so much that I do not wanting to mate you it is I do not like not having a choice.” Kagome informed him.

“Hn” was the response that she got. “I do not like it any more than you.” With that he walked away.

Kagome sat in the sitting room and stared of into space. ‘Was he annoyed with me?’ “Kagome, diner is ready.”

‘Diner what time was it? Had she spent so much time on the phone and broading over Sesshoumaru?’ “Ok
Rin, would you care to walk with me?”

Rin just smiled and nodded to Kagome as the girl walked across the room. “Come on lets eat.” Rin said.

At the table Sesshoumaru already sat with Inuyasha, Kikyo, Izayoi and Inu. Kagome was sat next to Sesshoumaru, he tensed as Kagome was sat next to him. ‘Is he angry with me?’ Kagome catch his eye and attempted to smile at him but his head snapped back away from her so fast she could not even get start the motion. ‘Yeah, he’s mad.’

Diner was slightly quiet with the occasional light talk between the occupants, Sesshoumaru nor Kagome spoke to one another. Each lost in their own world wondering about the other, only broken out of their daze when directly spoken to.

Dinner was cleared and the family was dismissed, Kagome was headed up stairs when a maid approached her, “My lady you have a call from a Miss Sango shall I have her call back?”

Kagome’s eyes brightened, “No I shall take the call.” With that Kagome walked into the sitting room. And answered the phone. “Hello?”

“Gez what took you so long? Screwing Sesshoumaru already?” Sango teased.

Kagome just shook her head, “No sango, I am not having sex with him yet and when I do I will not give you any details so that when Miroku is above you thrusting into you, you can’t imagine that it is the sexy hunk of meat that I have between my legs.”

Sango whined, “But… but I want to know.” She continued to whine and Kagome continued to tease her.

“So what time are do you want to come over tomorrow?” Kagome asked.

“I don’t know, do you want me to bring along the hentai?” Sango asked.

Kagome thought about it ‘It would give me the chance to not have to ask Sesshoumaru if I can not sleep in his room for the night, she would have Miroku to keep her company.’ “Sure I don’t see why not. But one wrong move and he could lose his head and you know which one I mean.”

“Alright then how about I see you tomorrow at 2 p.m. Is that ok? That gives you time to give us a tour and stuff.” Sango said rather vaguely.

Kagome made a mental note to not let Sesshoumaru sleep in so long tomorrow, “Sure but the tour guide will be Sesshoumaru or Inuyasha I do not know that house that well yet.”

“I guess that is fine, let me call the hentai and I will see you tomorrow.” Sango said waited for a good night and then hung up.

‘Tomorrow can’t be that bad.’ Kagome thought before walking out of the study to find Sesshoumaru. “Hi” she said while he looked up at her.

“Hn.” Was the only response she got before he walked into the bathroom. A couple if minutes later she heard the shower going.

Kagome walked to the door knocked and when she got no answer she walked right in. She could just make out Sesshoumaru’s silhouette through the glass door, it was not fully transparent so you could not see his body perfectly.

“Damn it Sesshoumaru, I thought you would understand my irritation with this situation. It is not that I do not want to mate you. I mean god your fucking gorgeous any girl in their right mind would want to, but I do not like having my mind made for me.” She sighed, a rather uncharacteristic thing for her. “I am sorry, I just feel that I was not allowed a choice like Tasukie knew that I would offer myself and I do not like playing into his hands.” Kagome was now sitting on the toilet with the lid down of course, she had her legs crossed and she hand her hand propped on her leg, while her head rested on her hand. “I just wish I knew what the asshole was up to.”

Sesshoumaru listened to every thing that she said, ‘It all made sense’, she was confused and frustrated along with scared because she doesn’t know what is going on. “Kagome I can not make you feel any more comfortable here with me, I wish I could because though it may not seem like it I want this to work out and I do not want to kill each other doing that, I would rather be friends than enemies if that makes sense, I can not tell you I love you because I do not know what love is, but I can say that I like you very much and that I feel calmer with you than with any other female, even my own mother when she was alive. I feel a need to protect you unlike any other, maybe it’s because my beast knows that you and I are to be mated or that it’s just me. I just know that I need you here with me now.”

Kagome didn’t know what to say. “Sesshoumaru, tomorrow night Sango and Miroku will be here and I would like to hang out with them,” She was cut off by him once more.

“That is fine you may I shall stay out of the way.” He sounded kind of irritated at the thought but he said it any way.

Kagome was shocked that he would suggest it but that is not what she wanted. “I want you to hang with us.” She said clearly so he would not miss it.

When Sesshoumaru heard that he dropped the bar of soap that he was holding, “Are you alright?” Kagome asked as she jumping up and walking over to the shower.

“Yeah did you say you want me with you?” He asked to be sure.

“Yes, if I am to be stuck with you forever than my friends had better get to know you and learn to accept it.” Kagome said as she sat back down on the toilet.

Sesshoumaru could not believe his ears, he was sure he would be made to go away, but instead she invited him to be with her and get to know her friends.

“Are you still alive in there?” Kagome asked.

“Yeah, its just a shock that you want me there, most girls want their girl time and don’t want interruptions.” He said and he rinsed his body.

“Well hentai will be here too, I will need some to protect me from his wondering hands, and who better to do it than my mate.” Kagome said with a smile.

Sesshoumaru smirked as he reached a hand out to search for a towel, he could not find it so he looked out to find Kagome holding it and standing in the bathroom door. “My dear, if you do not wish to see my naked body you should return my towel.”

“You would not dare expose your self to your still virginal mate.” Kagome said ‘He wouldn’t dare.’ She though until she saw the smirk, ‘Note to self: never good when he smirks… Oh shit… What is that? 0_0!!!,’ Was exactly what was going through her mind as Sesshoumaru opened the stall door and stepped out.

Her eyes immediately looked down to avoid looking at his body but on the way down she cause a glimpse of well, his Sesshoumaru Jr., It was fricken huge never in a million years would that ever fit into her.

“Now what was that Kagome about not exposing myself? You would have seen me eventually. You need not be scared Kagome I shall be gentle the first time we join, you shall know pleasure that is unmatched by any you will ever feel, and you will only feel such pleasure in my arms.” Sesshoumaru had walked up to Kagome and had leaned down to whisper into her ear.

His breath hitched when he smelt her arousal to spike. ‘Mmmm…’ His beast said. Sesshoumaru leaned in.
