Chapter 12
A New Beginning


‘Grrrrrrr’ InuYasha growled low in his throat. He was tired of waiting and was about to go out after them.

“Now InuYasha, it does no good to get moody. We must wait calmly for them to get back.” Miroku warned his friend lightly.

“Feh! What the hell do you know monk? He could be molesting her before the rights. That is the only reason I want to go after them.”

“Sure InuYasha, we believe you truly. But the plan was to remain here while we wait for them. We are not to go anywhere, just remember that this is what Kagome agreed to. We all agreed to it in fact. So we must all stick to the plan.”

“But did the plan involve them not coming back until tomorrow?”

“InuYasha you should know by now that Kagome will do what she wishes and you can not stop her. Miroku, would you go grab us some sake?”

“Why of course my dear Sango.” Getting up the Houshi walked to the adjoining room.

“InuYasha, You must not fear for Kagome. She can handle herself. You have to have faith in her. She is afraid to have her own Happily Ever After if you are not there for her as her best friend. You made your choice, you chose Kikyo, and now she has made her choice. She had no intention of hurting you. Somehow she fell in love with your brother. Even I do not know when it happened. Just believe in her InuYasha; she needs you to do that much for her. Besides if you don’t I will have to hurt you for hurting her again.”

“I know Sango, but it’s just, she just. I don’t know. I mean she means a lot to me and I just feel like I’ve let her down. You realize that this is the first time that I wasn’t the one to save her? Instead it was him. That tears me to pieces inside.”

“Well then I guess you now know what she felt like every time you ran off to be with Kikyo. It tore her apart and yet she held tight. She not once condemned you, no matter how badly you hurt her; she not once condemned you for it. In her eyes you were innocent. Simply because you loved Kikyo more than her. Do you know how much it would mean to her to see you happy for her?”

“Why did she have to choose my brother?”

“Why did you have to choose a dead woman?”

‘Sigh’ “I see your point Sango. Thank you, we will wait for them.”

“Good. Kirara and Ange Dechu said that they warned the Vampire Queen to be gentle with Kagome so that no harm would come to her. Apparently they had abused Ciana; they said she was covered with bruises. Kagome however was not.”

“I’m glad of that. At least nothing will be left behind on her body.”

Grinning widely, Miroku walked back into the room with four sake cups and a full bottle of Sake. Passing behind Sango he let one of his hands slide down to feel a piece of heaven on earth.

“HENTAI!” *Slap*

“Ah, but it is always worth it my dear.”

“Well then Sasuna are you going to be joining us or not?” InuYasha asked irritably.

“I think I should for I have a feeling that tomorrow afternoon will be my last day.” Sasuna said gently from the corner she had been sitting in since she had watched Sesshoumaru go to ‘rescue’ Kagome.

“Why do you say that Sasuna? Do you feel that something is happening right now that will end in your being absorbed completely?”

“Yes Sango, something that even if I had wanted to stay longer I can’t. She will return here with her full power. My full power. After that I will give her one last piece of advice; then I will be gone once more. Back to Kagome’s mind.”

“Well then in that case! To our lovely and most bewitching member of this Taichi; Sasuna, may you and Kagome find the happiness you both deserve.” Miroku raised his cup in the air with a nod toward the demoness.

“Thank you Miroku. My happiness is in the hands of the Lord and Lady of the Western Lands. Kagome is my happiness.” Sasuna took a deep breath before drinking down the Sake.

Sesshoumaru lay down beside Kagome on top of the blanket he had had delivered to this spot earlier in the day. After getting into a comfortable position Sesshoumaru gently laid his hand on Kagome’s cheek. Letting his fingertips gently stroke her smooth skin. She turned her head to face him and leaned towards him a little inviting him to kiss her. Sesshoumaru laid his lips on hers softly, enjoying the texture before he slid his tongue across them capturing her taste. Kagome sighed deeply allowing him the entrance he wanted. He swept his tongue into her mouth, hers timidly meeting his. Sesshoumaru deepened the kiss and turned the gentle play of their tongues into a duel. He let his fingers glide down her cheek to her neck his claws gently running along the flesh at the juncture of her neck and shoulder. Still his hand went further down to her Obi. Kagome gently placed her hand on his cheek and started to trace the magenta stripe there.

After undoing her Obi and setting it off to the side Sesshoumaru opened the front of Kagome’s Kimono. She had chosen not to wear a bra underneath the beautiful kimono. Sesshoumaru finally broke away from the kiss and started trailing kisses and light nips down her jaw line to her neck. Kissing the place where he would mark her later he let his lips travel farther down to one of the beautiful globes he had uncovered. He slid his left hand up her side and started to massage her left breast while he lavished the other with his tongue, lips and teeth. His fingers started to roll her hardened nipple between them eliciting a moan of pleasure from Kagome’s lips.

Her breathing had become erratic, her heart pounded so hard she swore even he could hear it. She could feel a tension building in response to his ministrations. That tension was coiling low in her abdomen making her writhe beneath the demon lord. She didn’t know what was to come and she was slightly frightened but at the same time exhilarated of the unknown.

Sesshoumaru grinned as he felt his miko’s writhing and squirming beneath him. He caught a hint of fear from her scent but her arousal was overriding it. He silently thanked the Kami’s for his fortune in finding this little gem. She was strong, caring, intelligent and absolutely nothing like the demonesses of this time. She made a soft sound as his left hand skimmed down her stomach to the nest of hair that covered her center. He slid one clawed digit over her clit and smelled a spike in her arousal. Arching her back wanting more Kagome gasped when Sesshoumaru slid one digit into her sopping hole.

Kagome gasped at this new intrusion into her body, letting the air back out on a sigh. He was making her feel things she had never felt before.
She placed her hand on his arm and felt his muscles tense as he stroked her.
It felt like a cord was coiling tighter and tighter inside her abdomen and she knew that when it broke her world would shatter.

He could feel her tensing as her release came closer and closer. He deepened his movements, he knew exactly where to stroke and how much pressure to use; but he didn’t know how much longer he could keep himself under control. His beast was becoming harder and harder to control. He knew that tonight he would be choosing his eternal life mate and that it was going to be her first time with any one and that it should be special.

*Stop messing around and just do it!* His beast roared at him.

‘No I can’t do that to her. She deserves this time to be great.’

*GRRRRRR! If you don’t start now I will*

‘Alright I will start but you must back off so I can do this my way.’

*Deal*

“Kagome it will be pain-“

“Sesshoumaru please just please I know it will hurt at first! But please I need you Now!”

“Turn over Kagome and get on your knees.”

Kagome flipped over her movements graceful and inciting more passion to Sesshoumaru. As Kagome got onto her knees Sesshoumaru removed the remainder of his clothing and positioned himself behind her waiting form. The tip of his throbbing member touching her. He leaned forward and moved her hair from her neck and kissed the spot where he would mark her as his later. She shivered as he pressed forward and began to enter her.

Kagome couldn’t describe the feeling of him pressing inside her. It was like a dull pressure and seemed to fill her. When he came to her barrier she tensed for she knew it would hurt. Suddenly he was kissing and licking her neck and she relaxed at this new sensation. He surged forward and she bit back a yelp of surprise. IT didn’t hurt so much as was a dull ache low in her abdomen. Sesshoumaru had stopped to allow her time to adjust to his size and to give him time to compose himself before beginning again.

*Oh GOD! She’s so tight and small, the feel is just magnificent!*

‘Shut up. I am trying to concentrate on not moving until she is more comfortable.’

Kagome began to squirm against Sesshoumaru, she knew that this wasn’t all there was and she wanted more. Apparently that is what he had been waiting for because he started to move slowly in her. A tension that was even greater than the one he had made her feel earlier was building. He started to move more rapidly pushing her towards something she had only glimpsed.

Her world shrunk to only him and the feeling he was creating for her. She moved ever closer to the peak he was traveling with her to. Suddenly she was at the peak and he was right there with her.

He felt her reaching her peak and he was close behind her just as he crested he bent forward and bit down on the juncture of neck and shoulder, forever marking her as his mate. They both lost their strength and collapsed on the blanket. He absently lifted his tail to cover them both as they fell asleep under the stars.


Sasuna smiled as she felt Kagome take the last of her powers.

*So she is now mated with him.*

‘So it would seem just as I thought it would be. Now I must tell her and then I must leave.’

*Dahling will not understand. So you must also tell her how to handle Dahling.*

‘Yes I know. This will be so hard, all these people are my friends and now I must leave once again.’

*But at least this time you will be able to say farewell.*

Sasuna sighed and fell back to sleep.

InuYasha knew something had happened and sighed deeply. Kagome was now Sesshoumaru’s mate. Sasuna would leave when she came back in the morning. Sighing he turned toward the window, and decided that he needed to walk in the garden.
