Ash stared out into the forest. She was sitting in a window of the Western Palace, trying to escape from the moping. InuYasha was moping because his friends had started a new life in the village four years ago, and were expecting their third child. Taijina was avoiding Sesshomaru, making threats to leave, and moping over her past. Then their was Sesshomaru, he was moping over the fact Taijina wouldn’t accept his apologies.

“Too bad the moping just doesn’t end with them,” she sighed to herself.

Five years since that fateful day when the well closed, and a dark cloud seemed to be stuck over the palace. Even the servants were dejected, of course Jaken was always a huge downer. But even Rin was losing her happiness, Rin was getting older, and she should have found a husband by now. But Sesshomaru makes that impossible, over protective of his little Rin she is stuck in the palace with no husband and no human friends.

“I take it you are going to leave,” Taijina stated as she leaned against the sill of the window.

“Well you all are a bit too depressing around here,” Ash replied, hopping down from the window.

“We have a lot going on,” Taijina sighed as she stood taking one last look at the blue skies. “You feel what I feel approaching, yet you leave.”

“I am keeping it a bay,” Ash replied. Though they never spoke it, they felt something out in the forest was watching, waiting, biding it’s time till it came forward.

“Is that a bad thing?” Taijina laughed as she walked away, and started to head down the hallway

“I rather just get this over with,” Ash told her as she caught up to Taijina. “Plus Leo has entered China looking for me. I must move before he finds me.”

“This guy really scares you huh,” Taijina remarked as she opened her bedroom door. “You know we could protect you.”

“Your just made because now you will only have them to talk to,” Ash laughed as she opened the window in Taijina’s room and picked up a broom that was discarded on the floor. “Mind if I borrow?”

“Be my guest,” Taijina said as she laid down on her bed. “Don’t stay away for to long.”

“Just in till he catches up with me in Europe,” she promised as she sat on the sill and threw her legs over the ledge. “Who knows maybe I shall head to this New World some have talked about.”

“Just come back alive,” Taijina called after her as Ash hopped on the broom and flew out the window. “Crazy witch.”

Ash flew the broom into the forest. Before heading to the shore to leave Japan behind for a bit, she was going to confront their stalker. Not having to go far to face the one she was looking for. Soul collectors led her to her minds worry who was currently reclining in a tree.

“Why do you dare show yourself now?” Ash asked as she landed on the forest floor, broom in hand.

“I have come to get what belongs to me,” she replied from the tree.

“No,” Ash fumed. “You’ve come to act like a bitch because you were forgotten. In the last battle he let you die, and you can’t get over it.”

“InuYasha’s soul belongs to me,” Kikyo screamed as she jumped out of the tree. “Both of us will go to hell together.”

“Get over yourself,” Ash huffed. “You lost. Go crawl in a hole and die, because no one here cares. Even your own sister told you to die.”

“Leave Kaede out of this! You’ll see he will return to me,” Kikyo promised. Staring at the dead Miko, Ash began to laugh hysterically.

“I’m glad I’m leaving,” she said while she continued to laugh. “I may not be able to handle the laughter that would ensue after the humiliation you are going to suffer. Go back to hell, stupid bitch.”

“When InuYasha joins me!” Kikyo called after her as Ash took off into the skies. Having her soul collectors surround her, she bid them to follow her. “Come we shall show them who is the better Miko.”

“Are you alright Lady Taijina?” Rin asked as she approached Taijina, who was sitting in the gardens staring up at the sky. Sighing, she turned her eyes from the sky and looked at Rin. The small child who followed her Lord endlessly was turning into a beautiful woman.

“I’m fine Rin,” Taijina replied, forcing a small smile upon her lips. “Ash left, and it makes me sad I may not see her for awhile.”

“I’m still here,” Rin replied as she sat down next to Taijina on the grass.

“Yes,” Taijina said, looking own at the girl at her side. She knew if Rin lived in a human village she would be mated by know and possibly a pup on the way. “Rin, what do you want?”

“Excuse me Lady Taijina,” Rin gasped, a little shocked, after all no one ever asked what Rin wants. “I’m afraid I do not know what you mean.”

“Do you want to go to the human village and start a family?” Taijina asked bluntly. One way or another Taijina was going to find out what this human wanted.

“Yes,” Rin whispered after some time. Looking at the ground Rin was fighting tears. She was torn between her love of her Lord and father, and the need for a family of her own.

“I did not mean to make you cry,” Taijina apologized as she brought Rin into a small hug. “I am sorry.”

“Rin,” Sesshomaru growled as he approached them. He had been in the shadows of the garden for awhile and had heard every word. They looked up at him, Taijina’s purple Kimono soaked with tears. “Return to your room, I must speak with Taijina.”

“Yes my Lord,” Rin sighed as she ran off towards her room, tears sliding down her streaks. She left a very angry Taijina, who was currently glaring at Sesshomaru.

“I do not wish to hear what you have to say,” Taijina said as she stood up, brushing the loose grass off her Kimono. “So you can save it.”

“You forget your place,” Sesshomaru growled, as she turned away from him. About to throw back another comment, Taijina stopped when she picked up a strange scent.

“Death and clay,” she gasped, as she turned towards the main gate, towards the stench.

“The dead Miko filth will not step on the lands of my home,” Sesshomaru growled as he ran towards Kikyo, Taijina hot on his tail. “I’ll send her to hell myself.”
