Inu yasha descended the stairs with a triumphant smirk spread all over his face. Kagome loved him, and if Sachi hadn’t interrupted, she would be his right now. The thought of him ravishing her body was almost too much for the hanyou.

Sachi was witting in one of the chairs with a deep blush on her cheeks as she twiddled her thumbs, not daring to meet anyone’s gaze.

“Oh my gosh Kagome, Kiran told me what happened, are you ok?” Mahiru rushed to her friends side.

“I’m fine don’t worry about me…”

“That’s great! Do you still feel up to going into town tonight?”

“Uh about that…”

Mahiru’s smile seemed to fade. “What is it Kagome?”

“Well…I’ve decided that I’m going to go back home…with Inu yasha…”

The room seemed to go silent. Inu yasha just looked at Kagome, pride evident in his face. So she wanted to go home with him…

“But Kagome…Spring break has just started! And we all want you to stay!” Mahiru pleaded, Kashi nodded.

“Yes Kagome, you should stay, it wouldn’t be as much fun without you.” Kiran frowned. Inu yasha wanted to beat the shit out of him.

“I’m sorry guys but I’ve made up my mind…I just…want to go home you know?”

“We understand Kagome” Sachi chirped.

Kagome smiled as thanks to her friend.

“When will you be leaving?” Mahiru frowned.

“Tonight I think, I’m going to go up and pack my stuff, then I’ll call my mom to come get us.”

“Well that’s silly, I can drive you.” Said Kashi.

“It’s Ok, I don’t want to be a nuisance.

“Nonsense, just tell me when you’re ready and I’ll drive you back.” Kashi put on a face Kagome couldn’t argue with.

“Ok, thanks Kashi.”

“No problem.”

Kagome was busy re folding her cloths to put them in her suitcase when the door creaked open, when she turned around the threshold was empty. She placed her shirt in the tan carrying case then reached for another, when a pair of strong arms wrapped around her and she was drawn into someone’s chest. Kagome could feel the persons hot breath on her neck, then felt the rumbling from there chest, she knew instantly that it was Inu yasha, and he was apparently very happy to see her.

As Kagome relaxed in his arms Inu yasha nuzzled the nape of her neck. She had chosen him over her friends, for some reason this pleased him to no end.

“All packed up?” he purred.

“Almost…I don’t know why I brought all this junk…” she turned around and returned his embrace. “I’m sorry I’ve been acting so distant lately…its just…I didn’t want to get hur-“ Kagome was cut off by Inu yasha’s lips pressing against her own. She closed her eyes and let him explore her with his tongue, when they parted it was only to resettle on the bed. Inu yasha’s hands soon found there way under the jean skirt Kagome had chosen to wear on their trip home, where as Kagomes hands, soon found their way atop Inu yasha’s head and began to message the small white triangles that resided there.

“It’s going to be dark soon.” Kagome managed between kisses.

“Going home can wait till tomorrow.” Inu yasha said having only one thing on his mind. Kagome smiled, obviously not having a problem with waiting till morning.

Just as Inu yasha’s hand made it to the rim of Kagomes underwear a loud shrill scream sounded from outside. This led to Kagome sitting up smacking her head against Inu yasha’s effectively knocking him off the bed leaving him sprawled out on the floor.

“Ow…” Inu yasha rubbed his head.

“That was one of the girls!” Kagome jumped from the bed leaping over Inu yasha and launching herself down the stairs. Her head was pounding, Kami did he have a hard head! Speaking of the devil she could hear him as he followed behind her. Rushing out the door they were met by Sei and Kiran who also looked rather startled.


“Did you hear the scream as well Kagome?” Kiran asked as they ran out into the drive.

“Yeah.” Kagome almost tripped when she saw what was in front of her. Laying in the gravel was Kashi, and surrounding her was one of the darkest auras she had ever seen, one that rivaled that of Naraku. “Oh god…”

Sachi was already at her side and Mahiru was running toward them as Kagome kneeled beside her friend. Kashi’s eyes were closed, her cloths in shreds, she had several scratches all over her body and a nasty gash were Kagome suspected she fell.

“What happened?” Inu yasha asked. Sachi was in tears.

“I-I don’t know…I was in the hot tub and I heard…I heard her scream when I came out here she was like this…”

Kagome reached out to her friend but was driven back by the dark aura.

“I can’t touch her Inu yasha…it’s some sort of barrier…something evil did this to her…”

“I know I can feel it too….”

“It was him!” Sachi cried.

“Who?” Everyone in the group looked to the shaking girl.

“The demon boy! The songstresses lover…”

Kagome looked upon Kashi, the girl was horribly pale.

‘Could it have been the demon boy?’

A/N: I know that this fic has been getting kind of boring, so Ive decided to speed things up a bit. Though I might not be updating as often (Ive been having writers block) I shall try to make the chapters I do add worth it. After all its better to write a meaningful sentance than page upon page of bullshit right? Anyway thankyou for your patience, and esp to those of you who continue to review! It means alot to me.
