Chapter Eleven (Did I really get this far? Wow.): Decision

Wow. This is the farthest ive gotten in one of my 15 fanfics. I think I should put the second most chaptered fanfic up on this website. If I do, will you read it?
Anyway, this is the last chapter before I leave to my dad's house on tuesday, so...yeah...just read it. And Review please!

Sesshoumaru sat against a tree, waiting for his mother to wake. She was injured badly, but since she was strong, it shouldn't take long for her to heal.
Kyoko suddenly sat up, fast. She looked extremely shocked.
"Are you Ok?" Sesshoumaru asked.
She nodded slowly, looking around.
"Where is it?" She asked, looking around.
"Where is what?"
"The shard! Where did it go?!" She started frantically searching around.
"Its right here! Calm down!" Sesshoumaru said, handing the shard to her.
She took it and held it in her hand, looking at it closely. This was the first time Sesshoumaru noticed the bright red glow and pulse of light.
"Why does it do that?" He asked Kyoko.
"I don't know. But I think it has something to do with how it was in my heart." She still looked at it closely, and suddenly she saw a picture in her mind.
It was Kagome, standing in front of her, when she still had no memory, Naraku was in front of the group, and Kagome was putting a strange purplish pink light into Kyoko's heart.
Kyoko's eyes widened. She hadnt expected that.
'Wait, Kagome is part of this bond between me and the shard, so if I die, then...Kagome dies. If I get hurt while holding this shard, then Kagome gets hurt.'
"Sesshoumaru, we have to go back to where they were. I have plan that will let me get that black pearl in Inuyasha's eye without him doing a thing about it."
Sesshoumaru nodded, but he wasn't sure.

Kagome...

"So, because of the damage to Kyoko's emotions done by Inutaisho, her heart has corrupted the shard?" Kagome asked.
Kaede nodded.
"That sucks."
Suddenly Kagome felt a sharp pain in her side. (It is when Kyoko touched the shard, she ws still in a little pain)
"Ouch! What was that?"
"Whats wrong?" Inuyasha asked.
"I dont know. I just felt a sharp pain in my side." She answered, examining her side. Nothing was there.
She shrugged.
"So Kagome, do you understand, that I cannot let her revive him, nomatter what she threatens to do?" Inuyasha asked.
Kagome nodded sadly.
"Ill try to keep her alive, since the point of not letting her revive my father was to keep her alive, but I cant promise anything."
Kagome nodded again. She still felt a dull pain in her side that went away in a couple of minutes.
Int cot couple of minutes, Inuyasha stood up fast and ran out of the hut. When Kagome followed him, she saw what he had run out for.
Kyoko and Sesshoumaru were standing there, this time Kyoko was holding the shard. Her wound had completely healed, and she looked exactly the same as she had except for her outfit, which was ripped where she had had her side sliced open, and she had taken off her fingerless black armor gloves.
"Still trying Kyoko?" Inuyasha asked.
She smirked. "Yes Inuyasha. But this time you can do nothing about it."
"Oh, and why is that?"
She held up the shard. "You see this, Inuyasha? Well it has an interesting bond to me, where my life depends on its safety. Well, Im not the only one apparently."
Inuyasha was slightly nervous with where she was going with this.
"What do you mean, Kyoko? Get to the point!"
"My point is, Kagome performed a spell on this shard while it was in my heart, directly conecting her to it, as well as me. If I get hurt, she gets hurt, if she gets hurt, I get hurt. If I die, she dies."
Everyone gasped, especially Kagome.
Inuyasha was shocked. 'Then I cant defend myself. If Kagome gets hurt as much as it takes to get Kyoko unconcious, she'll die. But if I don't, and Kyoko rrevives Inutaisho, and the shard decides to take her life, Kagome will die. But what if she's lying?'
"Choose Inuyasha, do you hurt me, and risk killing your precious Kagome, or do you let me have the portal, and no one gets hurt." Kyoko said, smirking.
"I dont believe you Kyoko!" Inuyasha yelled.
"Oh really?"
Kyoko took her claw and ran it down her arm, slicing open her skin. (But that wouldn't hurt her as much, and it would heal fast.)
"Ouch!"
Inuyasha turned around. That very same cut was in Kagome's arm, except it wasn't healing like Kyoko's was.
"Do you believe me now?"
Inuyasha turned back to Kyoko. He walked toward her.
"You can have the black pearl." He said quietly, surrendering, something he never often did.
"Good boy." Kyoko said.
"No Inuyasha! you cant let her!" Kagome yelled.
Inuyasha turned angrily back to her.
"I know! But I don't want you to get hurt!" He yelled.
Kagome's eyes widened. She swore she almost saw tears in the hanyous eyes.
Kagome knew that he had to hopw that the shard would not take Kyoko's life, and Kagome was nervous. Most of the time, if Inuyasha was afraid of somethng, its really bad.
When Inuyasha got to Kyoko, she walked up to him, putting her hand to his eye and withdrawing the pearl. But she didn't different than Sesshoumaru had done it. She did it a way that wouldn't hurt.
When she had taken it, she grabbed Inuyasha by his hair and threw him twenty feet, right in front of Kagome.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome said, running to the hurt hanyou.
"Thank you Inuyasha. You have just made your life alot easier." Kyoko said, turning to go.
"Hold on!" Kagome yelled.
Kyoko turned around and her eyes widened.
Kagome was pointing an arrow at Kyoko's heart with dead on aim. She was very angry.
"What do you want, human?" Kyoko asked, quite bored.
That just made Kagome angrier.
"First of all, my name is Kagome! Not human! Second, Inuyasha just willingly went up to you, did harm you at all, and you decide to throw him twnety feet by his hair?! You don't have the right to hurt him! What kind of person are you, you demon bitch?!
Kyoko was fuming with anger. Kagome had just insulted her? And asked her why she had just hurt Inuyasha? Then she had called her a demon bitch. Even though that was tecnically correct, Kyoko was sure that Kagome didnt mean that in a technical way.
Kyoko handed the shard to Sesshoumaru, so she wouldn't get hurt if she hurt Kagome. But she couldn't kill her, because that would still work.
Kyoko was up to Kagome in a second, about a foot away. Kagome lowered the arrow, knowing she had just made a big mistake. But Inuyasha was unconcious, and everyone else was on a different side of the village, helping to repair it.
"You dare insult me?" Kyoko started, stepping toward Kagome slowlyt while Kagome backed away slowly. "I have gone through so much pain, Kagome. You would never have even lived through a minute of the pain that I went theough. Im not talking about physical pain, im talking about emotional pain. Do you know how much it hurts to watch the man who promised to love you forever, and had a child with you, go off with another woman and forget all about you forever. I know all about the Kikyo thing, but thats not even a quarter of the things I had to go through. You don't know what I had to watch, Kagome. Part of it, is from this little half breed! So dont you dare tell me that I dont have the right to hurt him! Because I do."
Kyoko took Kagome up by neck. "Do you understand that?"
Kagome nodded. Kyoko threw her back down to the ground, and sped off into the trees, followed by Sesshoumaru.
Kagome sat up. Then she went to Inuyasha to try to wake him up.
He opened his eyes, blinked twice, then sat up. Then he looked at the bruise on Kagome's neck.
"What did she do you?" Inuyasha asked, worried, as Kagome was breathing harder.
"Im fine. I accidently insulted her and she got mad." Kagome told him everything Kyoko had said.
Inuyasha said, "I hate to admit it, but she is right."
Kagome nodded, suddenly noticing a sharp pain in her neck, and it was harder to breathe.
Inuyasha suddenly smelled Kagome's blood.
"Kagome, let me see the back of your neck." He said.
She bent her neck down.
He moved her hair and saw what he had been hoping was not there. It was a cut. A small one, but big enough for Kyoko to put poison into Kagome's neck. Alot of poison. It was one of Kyoko's favorite attacks. She would make a tiny hole, just big enough for the tip of her claw, and insert poison into it. Judging by the way the back of Kagome's neck looked, it was enough to make her seriously ill, but not die, as Kyoko couldn't let her die.
"Inuyasha what is it?" she said, nervous about his hesitation to answer.
"She put poison into you Kagome. You are going to get very sick for a few days." He tried to hide his worry.
Kagome sat up. "What?!"
"You need to go lay down. THe poison will kick in soon."
"You're scared Inuyasha." Kagome said, worried.
"I know I am. Now go."
She stood up, and became very dizzy, nearly falling down. Inuyasha picked her up and brought her into the hut
"Kaede, she is poisoned. She needs lots of water and some medicine maybe. It is Kyoko's poison. She wont die."
Kaede was shocked but nodded, going off to get water.
"Inuyasha, I don't feel very good." Kagome said.
"I know Kagome. i have been poisoned by this type of poison before. Soon you will start to get cold, and you will probably get very sick. Im soory that this happened." Inuyasha answered.
"Its" she coughed "Ok. Its not your fault."
'Yes it is' He thought, sitting beside her.'I knew she would do it.'

Kyoko...

Kyoko held the pearl in her hand.
"She should be no problem for a couple of days." Kyoko said. "And Inuyasha is afraid to hurt me. This is all too easy." She said, smirking.
"Mother, when are you going to do it?" Sesshoumaru asked.
"In two days, on the new moon, so Inuyasha can't interfere."
Sesshoumaru nodded. It was a good idea.
"Mother, did you poison the human?" He suddenly asked.
"Dont worry Sesshoumaru. Her getting sick won't affect me, so I wont get sicck, and I didn't put enough to kill her."
Sesshoumaru was relieved that his mother didn't just poison the human to deathg, causing her to die as well.
When they got back to the castle, something felt terribly wrong. The shard was starting to burn, too.
They walked inside. Rn imeediately flung herself onto Sesshoumaru's leg, crying.
"Rin, what is wrong?" Sesshoumaru asked the sobbing girl.
"There is a man here! Jaken won't tell him where you went, so he is killing Jaken!"
Sesshoumaru picked up Rin and sped upstairs, followed by Kyoko.
When they got upstairs, they went into Rin's room, where they found a dead Jaken, and...
"What are you doing here?!"
Kyoko at once recognized the man sitting against the wall.

Well dont you just love cliffhangers? They are awesome.
Who is the person? Im not telling. Some will guess, some wont. I might even surprise you with a completely unexpected character. Who knows? I might stick with the original plan. I dont even know.
Oh well
This might be the last chapter before I leave on Tuesday, becuase i have to actually stay at a hotel starting Saturday, so...yea. My dad may let me go on the computer. Once again, who knows?
