Just for the night

Sango was carried back to
Kaedes hut by a much reluctant demon lord. He did not want to leave her there,
but if he was going to travel fast back to his castle to get Rin and Jaken, he
had too. Sesshoumaru kissed her passionately before he let her go.

Hurry back my love, she
whispered, feeling lost already.

-         
I will mate, I promise, he
answered and kissed her again, tucking his boa around her neck. Gods he never
wanted to let go of her.

He felt her grab his
clothing with her small hands, and he had to use mild force to have her let go.
He looked into her dark eyes before he took off into the sky, using his demonic
speed.

“Come back soon my
mate, this will be the last time be parted from you, in the future we will
always be together.” She
vowed and cried silently. Her trustful little Kirara jumped up in her arms and
Sango was glad to feel the comforting warmth of the little fire-cat.

Come Kirara, let get some sleep,
I am feeling very tired, said Sango and nuzzled the little cat.

Kirara mewled in response
and Sango went into Kaedes hut and slumped down on her futon. The day had taken
its toll on her and she was asleep in no time at all.

The old miko saw the
sorrow in the young taijya’s face and she was worried about her. “I wonder if
Sesshoumaru  has blood-bonded with her as well, I can feel his presence even if
he is not here. And by the way she reacts now, when he has left her, yes… I
believe he has done a forbidden thing.” Kaede sighed and began mixing some
herbs in jar.

She was happy for the taijya, but she was worried about the consequences their
mating could have. She would give birth to a hanyou child, and Kaede knew that
hanyous’ never were accepted, not even when they were children to a demon lord,
Inuyasha being the perfect example of that.

Later that evening
Inuyasha and Kagome came back from their little “talking”. The blushing young
miko from the future and the hanyou was radiating with love and Kaede was happy
for them. The old miko assured them that Sango was ok, but she was a bit tired,
and that Sesshoumaru had left the village again, but Kaede did not know why.
They ate a bit before Inuyasha carried Kagome to his favourite tree outside the
village. He found the wide branch he often slept on and he tucked Kagome tight
into his embrace.

Kagome, I have something to tell
you, he said with a low voice.

-         
Oh, have something happened?

-         
Yeah, you could say that, he
smiled nuzzled her neck.

-         
What?

-         
You are pregnant.

-         
…

-         
Shippou is going to be a big
brother.

-         
I am with child?

-         
Yes, are you mad at me?

Kagome felt tears form in
her eyes, but they were tears of happiness. She turned around in his lap,
letting small kisses rain down his face. “Silly puppy.”

-         
I am happy Inuyasha, so very
happy, she smiled through the glimmering tears.

-         
Then why are you crying? he
asked worriedly.

-         
Because I am happy. Humans
sometimes cry when they are happy, she explained.

-         
Ohh…

Kagome kissed him deeply
and savoured his taste. Things could not have been better for the young girl
from the future. She had the man, no hanyou, of her dreams as her husband and
now she was expecting his child.

Inuyasha had thoughts of
his own. Now that Kagome was pregnant he would now allow her to participate in
any battle, and he guessed Sesshoumaru would not let Sango fight either. His
mind flinched a bit, the girls was not giving up so easily, he knew that. They
would not sit around and watch others do the fighting for them. The brothers
were going to have one hell of a time to convince their mates’ not to fight. He
sniffed the air and smiled; Shippou had caught their scent and was now heading
towards them.

Kagome my love, we better hold
back a bit, because Shippou is coming, he said and kissed her on the nose.

-         
Mmm, she pouted a bit.

-         
Later my sweet Kagome, later.

Shippou found them and
jumped up in to the tree, hugging them both. He loved to feel the family warmth
that radiated from the two and he snuggled in between them, soaking it all up.

-         
Shippou-chan, is everything ok?
asked Kagome a bit worried.

-         
I am now mama. Although, I was a
bit afraid that Kouga had got to you two, but apparently he went back again. He
woke up an hour after you two left and disappeared, perhaps he went back home to
his tribe again.

-         
Let us hope so Shippou-chan.

Inuyasha just growled. He
did not believe that Kouga had given up on Kagome; the wolf was too much of a
thick-headed bastard for that. “Come back soon niisan, I think I want you by
my side when I face that wimpy assed fool again.” He thought and scaring
himself. Who would have thought that the hanyou Inuyasha actually would want to
have his older brother by his side in a battle?
