Dancing Blades, Silks, and Sakura Blossoms
Chapter Ten

Yumi sat in what had become her room in Naraku’s palace. She had been locked in there since Naraku had found her making friends with Kanna and using her mirror to check up on InuYasha and the others. He had been enraged when she then smashed the mirror, keeping him from seeing what the lords were planning. Naraku was now in the dark. She laughed to herself as she remembered the look on his face. It was classic.

Naraku growled. He now had to count on Kagura to spy on his opposition and he knew that she wasn’t telling him everything. He passed a room that held the bodies of the former Southern Lord and Lady. Those stupid snake youkai had been easily corrupted by the power of the Shikon and he had absorbed them into his body after he had finished his assassination of the former Eastern Lord and Lady. It had been simple, all that was left of them were a pair of large snake skins. He then came upon the room he had locked Yumi inside. That woman infuriated him to no end, but he was also infatuated with her. She had such beauty and power and purity, ah yes, she was pure, corruptible… and would be his.

InuYasha growled as he pinned Kagura to a tree by her neck. “What the fuck are you doing here?”

“I am here to help you and tell you of your mate.”

“Why should we believe you?” Kouga asked.

Kagura locked her red eyes with Kouga’s pale blue. She had found him to be intriguing since that first moment he burst upon that first battle after her ‘birth’ from Naraku. She then looked back at the enraged hanyou that held her. “She broke Kanna’s mirror to keep Naraku from spying on you. He thinks I’m going to be his spy. Yumi just saved your plans and I can give you where his castle lies now.”

Kouga placed a hand on InuYasha’s shoulder. “Let her go. She’s not lying.”

InuYasha growled and dropped Kagura, who began gasping for air and choking as she crumpled to the ground. Her neck was turning purple with bruises. She then looked up to see Kouga extending a hand to her. hesitantly, she took it and was lifted to her feet. Kouga then smirked. “If you’re lying or if you betray us, even I won’t be able to stop InuYasha.”

Kagura nodded. “I swear on my life that I won’t.”

Kouga smirked. “Good, now follow me, the other lords will want to talk to you.”

Yumi sighed as she sat with Kanna’s head in her lap. She had bonded with the small girl and mothered her like she should be. The little girl was just that, a little girl, but with a great amount of wisdom in her large, dark eyes. Yumi couldn’t see how she was a part of Naraku. She smiled slightly as she noticed that Kanna had fallen asleep in her lap. She then placed the girl on her bed and looked out the window. ‘InuYasha… please be alright.’

Kagome and Sesshomaru stood in the garden, arguing as InuYasha, Kouga, Kagura, Sango, and Miroku watched on.

“What do you mean, I’m not coming?” Kagome asked.

“Do you need it spelled out? You are not going to battle.”

“Are you joking? You need me there! I have to purify the jewel! Plus, I’m not a weakling, I can take care of myself damn it!”

“No.”

“You can’t tell me what to do! I’m going!” Kagome huffed.

“No, you’re not.”

“A few weeks ago, you had no problem with me going, what’s changed?”

“A few weeks ago, you weren’t with pup!”

“Nani?” Kagome asked, confused. She then touched her stomach. “I’m pregnant? But how can you tell?”

“I can smell the change in your scent. You’re with pup and have been for two weeks.”

Kagome threw up her hands. “That may be, but I’m still going, pregnant or not!”

Sesshomaru sighed and looked to the heavens for help. “For the last time, I said no!”

Kagome growled. “You have no say in this! I’m going and that’s final!”

Sesshomaru clenched his fists and then paused as though to speak and then stormed off towards the castle. Kagome seemed just as angry and chased after him. InuYasha glanced to the others and then back to Kagome’s retreating back.

“That was… interesting,” Miroku stated.

“He’s right though, she shouldn’t go,” Kouga commented.

InuYasha nodded in agreement. “For once, I agree with the wimp.”

“Stop calling me that!”

“Why should I lie? You’re a wimpy wolf.”

“I am not! Dog shit!”

“Coward!”

“Son a bitch!”

“Asshole!”

“That’s it!” Kouga shouted as he lunged for InuYasha and began an all out fist fight.

Miroku glanced to Sango and Kagura. “Should we stop them?”

Sango shrugged. “They’ll stop eventually.”

Kagura glanced in the direction Sesshomaru and Kagome had stormed off in. she could feel them watching the monk and demon exterminator for some reason. She wondered for a while until her attention was wrenched back to Kouga and InuYasha. InuYasha had swiped at Kouga and had ‘accidentally’ clawed Miroku’s arm. The scratch was minor, but needed to be tended to.

“Oh, kami, gomen, Miroku!” InuYasha apologized quickly.

Miroku gave a half smile to his hanyou friend. “It’s alright, I’ll be fine.”

Sango snatched InuYasha by the ear. “You baka! Look what you two did!”

Kouga looked around himself. “What? It’s the mutt that hurt the monk, not me!”

Sango glared menacingly to the wolf prince and then rushed to Miroku’s side. “Let’s go get this bandaged,” she said softly to the monk.

Miroku looked to InuYasha, whom looked guilty. His eyes were down and his ears lay flat against his head. He then placed his free hand against InuYasha’s shoulder. “I’ll be fine, InuYasha, you barely harmed me.”

InuYasha nodded.

“Do you know where Lord Jin keeps the bandages and healing herbs?” he asked.

“Hai, in a cabinet, inside the hot springs. Yumi showed me after she beat my ass during a spar.”

Kouga snickered. Kagura rolled her eyes. she then noticed that he too was injured. “Kouga, you are bleeding as well.”

Kouga’s eyes widened and then he looked down at his fresh wound in his leg. He glared at InuYasha. “Damn mutt…” he mumbled.

Kagura noticed that it would heal soon, but she had a theory about why the monk was now hurt. “Shall Sango take you with the monk to be bandaged?” She asked.

Kouga’s face blanched. He then glanced to InuYasha, who was just as shocked. He then looked back to Kagura who inwardly smirked. ‘So, this is a ploy to mate the monk and the exterminator, interesting.’

Kouga shook his head. “Nah, I’ll be fine. The mutt couldn’t cause any real damage anyways if he wanted to.”

InuYasha glared at Kouga. “What was that?”

“Are you as deaf as you are stupid? I said you couldn’t hit me on your luckiest day!”

“I have and I can hurt you!”

Kagura rolled her eyes as the two baited each other for real this time. She then looked to Sango and Miroku. “You should take him. I shall watch over the children and make sure they do not hurt themselves.”

Sango nodded to her once enemy and pulled Miroku towards the castle.

Kagura sighed. ‘Well, I hope the plan works. Now for these two.’

Yumi growled at Naraku as she stood protectively before the boy called Kohaku and Kanna. He was frustrated and wanted to take it out on them. “Touch them and you will lose that which you use to call yourself a man,” she threatened.

Naraku grinned evilly. “They are mine, you have no say over what I can and cannot do with them.”

Yumi narrowed her gaze at the vile monster before her. “Do not assume that I am a pushover, like Kikyo was. I will not fight you, but I will not allow you to harm them!”

Naraku scowled. Yumi was telling the truth, she had agreed to stay neutral for now, but would break that oath to protect the young ones that cowered behind her. She had turned his house upside down, she had corrupted Kanna with her motherly ways and had somehow returned the memories to Kohaku and was assiting him in his recovery. Naraku had no clue where Kagura was, but he knew she was alive. For all he knew, she was a prisoner of Lord Jin and the council that threatened to attack him at any moment. The armies of the youkai lords were camped just outside his territory, but could not see his new fortress. All of this was the result of Yumi’s capture, and now he greatly considered killing her. He needed to take out his tension, and with Kagura gone, he had nothing to ‘release’ said tension. He then smirked as a wicked idea crossed his mind.

Yumi scowled at Naraku. She did not like that look that he gave her. Kanna tightened her small fingers on her kimono and Kohaku was tense, ready to attack Naraku at any moment.

“Then take their place,” he commanded.

“What?” Yumi asked.

“If you want me to spare them, take their place in my bed tonight.”

“You must be joking!”

“No, I’m quite serious. You will be mine eventually, anyways, you might as well test the waters that you shall be swimming in.”

Yumi was appalled by his words. “InuYasha will destroy you and I cannot wait to see it.”

“It shall not happen. Now, make a decision, their innocence or your body?”

Yumi straightened her back and looked to Kohaku. “Take Kanna to my room and stay there until I return,” she commanded.

Kohaku’s eyes widened. “But Miss Yumi! You know what he means to do to you, do you not?”

Yumi’s eyes softened. “Hai, I know. But it is worth the sacrifice of one night to save you and Kanna from such a fate.”

Kanna gripped Yumi’s waist tightly. “Mamma!” she cried into her skirt.

Yumi took Kanna’s hands in her own and removed them from her leg she then knelt down and lifted Kanna’s chin, wiping her tears from her eyes. “I shall be with you when you wake, little one.”

“I will be glad. I will go with Kohaku to your room now,” Kanna said in her hauntingly soft voice.

Yumi nodded and smiled to the child before handing her hand to Kohaku and watching them as they left the room for Yumi’s chamber. As soon as they were out of sight, Yumi turned and glared at the monster before her. “You will pay for this, mark my words.”

Narkau grinned. He was already hard with thoughts of what was to come. “Consider them marked. Follow me, Lady Yumi, tonight you are mine to possess.”

Sango closed the door to the hot springs as Miroku took a seat on one of the warm, stone benches within. The hot spring was beautiful. A small pool of heated water bubbled with steam as a vast array of magical flowers that produced light and soaps surrounded the secluded area. The ceiling was enchanted to appear to be the night sky, giving it a dim light. The entire room was magical and romantic by nature. Sango shook her head as she came back to her senses. This place seemed to draw people from their thoughts, which is why she used the simple, non-magical hot spring that was located in the Eastern Wing of the palace. But this is where InuYasha had said the herbs and bandages were so she dared to venture inside.

Miroku smiled to Sango as she seemed lost in the beauty of the room. Her brown eyes sparkled with the diffused light of the room, making want to take her in his arms and kiss her, but he stopped himself. It wasn’t right to take advantage of Sango as she was entranced by the hot spring, so he admired from afar. He watched as she shook her head and her eyes focused on him, a slight blush across her cheeks. He smiled; she was beautiful when she blushed. Of course, he thought she was beautiful when she did anything.

Sango noticed Miroku’s smile and returned it. When he wanted to be, Miroku could be down right adorable with his deep violet eyes and innocent smile. Of course, those smiles usually lead to a lecherous one, which led to him groping her and her smacking him one. It’s not that she didn’t like his touches, in fact she loved now now that she had truly fallen for him, it was just that she didn’t know how else to react.

She sighed inwardly at herself, she was just as bad as InuYasha before Kagome and Sesshomaru locked them in the dojo. Then, it dawned on her. Quickly, she rushed to the door and attempted to open it, only for a barrier to stop her when she was within an inch of the door. Sango slammed her fist against it, only to be thrown to the ground. Sango lay on her back, mouth agape as she stared at the door.

Miroku leapt to his feet and helped Sango up. “What was that?” he asked.

“Kagome and Sesshomaru…” Sango sighed.

Miroku raised an eyebrow. “Why would they-”

Kagome’s voice floated through the door, “You two need this as much as Yumi and InuYasha did!”

Sango huffed. “What do you mean?”

“You two obviously love each other, only you two won’t admit it. So just tell each other and mate already!” InuYasha’s voice called.

Miroku rolled his eyes. “You have such a way with words, InuYasha.”

Sango giggled. “So when are you going to let us out?” she asked.

“When the spell wears off, but that doesn’t happen until you two at least tell each other how you feel,” Kagome answered. “Good Luck you guys!”

Sango turned to Miroku. “I guess that means we’ll be in here for a while then.”

Miroku smirked. “I guess it could be worse, you could be stuck with Kouga!”

Sango laughed. And a growl was heard through the doorway. She then looked down at his injured arm, it was still bleeding. “I guess we should at least get your arm fixed up for now,” she suggested.

Miroku nodded. He liked having Sango this close to him without a threat of being seriously smashed over the head with her hirakutso( A/N: that’s how your spell it right?). Although he loved her dearly, he was worried about his skull being broken by that monstrosity one of theses. Hs. He took in a deep breath and was surrounded by Sango’s wonderful scent. He may not be a demon, but he could still smell that which was uniquely her. She smelled of the air right before a thunderstorm, it invigorated him to no end. It also awoke something within him that he usually kept repressed deep down within, his desire for her.

Sango reveled in the warmth that eminated from Miroku. She didn’t want to move, but she would have to eventually to bandage his arm. She listened to him as he breathed in deep and retrained herself from sighing in happiness. She wanted to bury her face in the hardness of his chest, to let him hold her close as she was immersed in the scent of him. She didn’t have the enhanced senses of InuYasha or other youkai but she could recognize his scent anywhere. It was something that was uniquely him. She loved that he smelled of the forest after a thunderstorm, calm and clean, and it brought out strange feelings from within her. She could feel a heat pool in her belly and she wanted more of it.

Miroku was still holding onto her arm with his cursed hand. He looked down at it and was brought back to his senses. His curse, he didn’t want to burden her with his cursed love. He would leave her alone and it would kill his soul. He couldn’t tell her, it wasn’t right to tell her and then leave her alone in the world. He quickly suppressed his feelings and released her arm.

Sango felt his hand leave her and she looked up into his eyes. There was sadness and a longing within his violet depths as he stiffened at her closeness. She then looked at his wound. “Does it hurt?” she asked.

Miroku closed his eyes and let out a breath. “More than you’d imagine.”

Sango furrowed her eyebrows. ‘What does that mean? Did he mean that being with me is painful? Or did InuYasha harm him worse than I thought.’ She then nodded and left his arms, heading for a cabinet on the far end of the hot spring. She then pulled out some bandages and a few herbs that she knew helped heal wounds. She took a seat on one of the benches and motioned for him to join her. “I need you to remove your robes so I can tend to your arm.”

Miroku nodded. “But of course,” he said as he worked with the knot on his robe.

Sango watched as he struggled with it. She then reached out and touched his hands. Miroku stopped moving and looked up at her. She then smiled. “Here, let me help.”

Miroku nodded as her fingers slipped the knot loose and his purple robes fell open. She then worked the ties that held his black one closed and soon, his white under kimono was all that shielded him from her eyes. She let her fingers stray to his shoulder for a few seconds before pulling away. “I think you can manage now.”

Miroku nodded and pulled the rest of his robe and his kimono down exposing his tanned skin to her eyes. Sango’s eyes gazed hungrily at Miroku as she looked over his hairless, well muscled chest and arms. She had forgotten that under all his robes, Miroku had the body of a man who knew how to fight and had traveled for a long time. She then raked her eyes to his wound. InuYasha’s claws had sliced deeper than she thought they had. She then took some of the herbs and placed them in bowl she then took another bowl that she had found in the cabinet and dipped it into the water. She placed a cloth into the water and then began to clean the blood away.

Miroku watched as though in a trance as Sango gently cleaned the blood from his wound and then used some more water and added it to the crushed herbs and made a paste that she placed upon a bandage and began to wrap his arm tenderly. “I didn’t know that you knew how to work with herbs,” he commented.

“Hai, Kagome and Kaede taught me, just in case they were not around to heal,” she said as she tied the bandage off.

“I see, then I guess I’m lucky they did!” he laughed.

Sango smiled. “Hai, Kagome is quite the devious one, isn’t she?”

“Sesshomaru isn’t much help, I think he encourages it.”

Sango laughed. “They are truly perfect for each other.”

“Hai,” he agreed. “Yumi compliments InuYasha the same way.”

“I think she insults him more than she compliments,” she joked.

Miroku laughed. “That too.”

“Miroku?”

“Hai?”

“InuYasha told me what you said in the war council the other day.”

Miroku’s eyes went downcast. “Oh.”

“Who is it?” she asked.

“Nani?”

“Who is that person that you will not tell your feelings to?”

“Oh, her.”

“Yes, her. Who is it? Is it some girl in a faraway village?”

“No, actually she is quite close.”

“Do I know her?”

“Hai, very closely.”

Sango raised an eyebrow. “”

“Who is the man you love?” he countered.

“I-I have no such feeling towards anyone.”

“Kagome says otherwise.”

“Ah… well,” Sango thought for a moment and then smiled slightly. “He’s a handsome man.”

“Does this handsome man have a name?”

“Of course!”

“Do I know him?”

“Hai, most intimately.”

Miroku grinned. “Really? What is his profession?”

Sango leaned forward, causing the bowls to fall to the ground, spilling their contents. “It’s a very rare profession. He does a lot of travel.”

“Does he now?”

“Hai, what of your love? Does she have a profession?”

“Hai, a most unique one. She’s one of the last of such a profession and travels much as well.”

“She does? My, what strange coincidences.”

Miroku nodded. “Very strange. You see, I travel with this woman and I love her very dearly, no matter how much she beats me. I only grope her nowadays, no other woman has had my touch in that intimacy and never shall for the rest of my life, no matter how short or long it shall be.”

Sango blushed. “My, my, such a coincidence. The man I love gropes me, no matter how much I beat him, but I love him for it. I would bear his child for him and love him for the rest of my life if I could.”

Miroku’s eyes went wide. “You… you would bear his child? Even if he, for argument’s sake, is cursed and may die within a year?”

Sango nodded. “Hai, but you’re not going to die, Miroku. Naraku will die before you.”

ku sku smiled as he wrapped his arms about her and pulled her close. “Hai, he will,” he whispered as he leaned in and kissed her passionately.

Sango melted completely under his touch. She felt her entire body tingle as he kissed her, his hands roaming to the small of her back and into her hair. Soon, she was on her back, her arms wrapped about his neck as they kissed. His hands now fumbling with her obi as she moaned under his light caresses. Within moments they were both unclothed, their bodies rubbing, causing a delicious friction, against each other.

Sango gazed up into Miroku’s eyes as she felt a wet heat build between her thighs. “Miroku… I-” Miroku placed a finger on her lips and shushed her as he smiled.

“I know,” he whispered. Sango smiled as she pulled him down for a kiss.

Miroku, no novice to the art of lovemaking, could tell that she was a virgin. He knew to take it slow with her. He moved his hands slowly across her body until treacreached her ample breasts and then began to massage them with his deft fingers.

Sango gasped and arched into his touch as he deepened the kiss and continued his ministrations. He then began to trail kisses down her jaw line and neck until he reached one of her milky white mounds and took the dusty pink nipple into his mouth. Sango was on fire, she couldn’t believe the sensations he was making as he continued to play with her other nipple and nibbled the underside of her breast before taking the distended nipple back into his mouth and sucking it.

Miroku moved his head, trailing his mouth across her skin to her other breast and began to roll the abandoned nipple between his thumb and forefinger as he trailed his free hand down her flat belly to her moist nest of dark curls.

Sango gasped once again as she felt his fingers caress her nether lips and slowly part them before plunging a finger into her moist entrance. Miroku groaned as he felt her tight muscles contract around his finger as he began to thrust it within her depths. He then added another finger and stretched her slowly as he continued to thrust his fingers within her warmth.

Sango could feel a knot within her belly transform into a gnawing ache that threatened to consume her as her beloved continued his ministrations. Miroku could feel that she was close and stopped. Sango whimpered as he pulled his fingers out of her and licked her juices from them. He locked his lust filled gaze with her own and smiled as he kissed her and let her taste herself on his lips. He then settled himself between her legs and rubbed her slit with his very hard, large manhood.

“M-Miroku…” Sango moaned as he continued to torture her.

“You understand that this will hurt a bit, love?” he asked.

Sango nodded. “H-hai! Onegi… I need you… inside,” she panted.

Miroku grinned as he placed his hands upon her hips and readied himself. He then leaned down and kissed her as he thrusted inside her, breaking her barrier. Sango stiffened and cried out as she felt a sharp pain stab her. She clenched her eyes closed and felt as a few tears fell from her eyes. Miroku swallowed her cry and stilled himself, letting her get used to him.

After a time, Sango lifted her hips, allowing Miroku to sink deeper within her, causing both of them to moan. Miroku then pulled out almost completely and thrusted back in. Sango could not believe the intense pleasure she felt as he repeated this motion over and over. She then threw her head back. “Oh, Kami! Faster… harder… Miroku!” she cried.

Miroku gladly complied with her wishes and began to thrust with more force and speed than he knew he possessed. Sango lifted her hips to meet his every thrust, making him penetrate deeper every time. Fin, th, the knot loosened and the ache engulfed her as a wave of pure pleasure washed over her, causing her to scream in ecstasy. Miroku continued to thrust within her, prolonging her orgasm and throwing himself into his own as he spilled himself deep within her and he cried out into her neck.

After the afterglow began to fade, Miroku lifted himself from her and pulled his now flaccid length from her whimpering, sore body. He then lifted her and carried her into the shallow of the hot spring and washed them both of the sweat that covered them. He then wrapped them both in a fluffy, soft towel and carried her to a soft patch of moss that grew near the edge of the enchanted hot spring. He then wrapped his arms about Sango and listend as her breathing evened out and she slipped off into sleep. He gazed at the false sky inside and then looked at his hand. ‘Until the end of her life.’

Yumi clutched her yukata around her body as she left the bath. She had just finished with Naraku and he was asleep in his chambers. She had gone to the bath to wash his foulness from her body before she went to her own room to check on Kanna and Kohaku. As she walked down the miasma choked hall, she gazed out a window and saw the full moon rising over the dead land that surrounded them. She sighed as the indefinite cold that surrounded Naraku’s palace chilled her skin.

She then leaned against a wall and let the tears fall. “Forgive me, InuYasha. I love you,” she whispered into the darkened night
