Kagome moaned, trying desperately to hold it in.  
She could feel the breath seizing in her lungs.  She was lying face down on

Quickly his mind assessed the situation and assembled the facts.  Kagome

released.  Inuyasha realized what must have happened.  Kagome must
have been in contact with Kouga's precum somehow.  The only way that was

anymore and would see no reason to inform her of the hanyou's whereabouts the
night of her accident.  The other's would keep their mouths shut hoping for
the best to work out between the two of them.
 
 
The group silently continued on their way.  They reached a mountain pass
by nightfall and decided to camp near water as they always did.  The area
was covered with coniferous trees.  There was
a lake nearby and the area was thickly carpeted with moss and small white
flowers, velvety in texture.  Kouga deposited Kagome's pack and sat down
against the trebsp;bsp; "I'm taking a nap now, Shippo.  It's your job to
watch over Kagome-chan and make sure Dog-breath doesn't try anything, o.k?" 
"Got it." Shippo whispered conspiritorally.  Kouga closed his eyes,
preparing to take a quick nap.  He had been tired for a long time, the

Within minutes he was snoring.  Kagome turned,  "We need some water to
boil."
 
 
Inuyasha made a rude noise and quickly said, "I'll get it, come and help me
carry another canteen so we don't have to go back later.  Shippo, go grab
Sango and Miroku's canteens as well."  Shippo nodded and chased after the
monk and the demon slayer who had gone to collect firewood.
 
 
Kagome took the canteen and Inuyasha grabbed her hand and not waiting for
Shippo began to drag her toward the lake.  The lake itself was secluded
just behind thick wall of creeping ivy.  It was also surrounded on all
sides by trees, making it an unsafe place to bathe.  One could be
surrounded before they realized it.
 
 
Kagome followed Inuyasha to the water's edge where he filled all three
canteens.  Kagome could feel nervousness pricking up and down her spine. 
Something wasn't right.  Inuyasha set the canteens down and walked toward
the girl.  She tentatively spoke his name, "Inuyasha?" 
 
 
Inuyasha seized her upper arms and dragged her forward, causing her to
stumble and fall against him.  He began to rub her back in ever widening

The desire did not spring forth from her when Inuyasha touched her.  It

She began to push lightly at his chest.  "I'm staying to see this
through.  I want to be loyal, I would never break the word I have given."

"Send him away then.  He'll go if you tell him too.   Please,
Kagome, we don't need him.  He makes me uncomfortable and seeing the two of
you together really hurts me."  Inuyasha whined.
 
 
This was the worst possible choice of words for Inuyasha to have uttered. 
Kagome's face darkened and she scowled.  "That's really rich, coming from 
you.  As many times as I've seen you with Kikyo and now you have the nerve
to complain about Kouga.  He's only here because he cares for me."
 
 
"He wants sex from you, Kagome.  Don't think I haven't noticed all the
times you two sneak off.  That's not normal.  He's using you to
satisfy his lust!"
 
 
"Inu-!"
 
 
Before Kagome could speak she found herself plastered against the hanyou as
his hands began to roam over her in earnest.  Just before he crushed her
lips with his he said: "If you want it so bad I can give it to you.  Don't
think I can't smell your excitement after he's been all over you.  You
should have just come to me."
 
 
With that his lips crashed over hers and he began biting and licking, begging
for entrance.  Kagome was horrified.  Part of her revelled in the
attention being paid to her after years of neglect but at the same time the
overwhelming part of her screamed, "NO!"  Inuyasha began pushing her to the
ground and running his clawed hand up her leg.  He neared her bare

She whimpered.  In her mind she replayed all the times Kouga had made her

If you want to fight that's fine.  We both know what the outcome will be."
 
 
Kagome bit down on Inuyasha lip and let loose an ear-piercing scream. 
"Kouga!!!"
 
 
Kouga jerked awake hearing Kagome's cry.  In a few short leaps he
reached the edge of the lake.   Seeing Kagome crushed under Inuyasha,
obviously struggling, let loose the animal within the wolf demon.  He
grabbed Inuyasha by the back of his neck and held him up in the air.  Kouga
slammed his fist into Inuyasha's back temporarily knocking all the wind out of
his lungs.  He flung the hanyou as far away as he could and Inuyasha sailed
through the air, striking the tree-line with a loud thud.
 
 
Kouga turned to Kagome and attempted to gain some control back before
touching her.  If she could have seen his face she would have been looking
in eyes that were clouded with red.  Kouga barely had control of his animal
nature.  He clenched his fists and approached her.
 
 
Kagome was crying softly and this upset Kouga further.  Realizing his
position as her future mate he immediately grasped that his priority had
to be to calm Kagome down since he had already incapacitated Inuyasha.
 
 
The wolf demon cradled Kagome against his chest, beginning a slow, rumbling
noise blocking out all other sound as her ear was pressed against his chest. 
He held her tightly between his legs, rocking back and forth, never taking his
eyes off the fallen hanyou.
 
 
Soon Kouga felt Kagome's breathing even out and knew she had fallen asleep in
exhaustion.  She was so strong and endured so much, now he needed to teach
her to share her burdens. 
 
 
Inuyasha groaned and stirred, sitting up and seeing Kouga soothing Kagome. 
The wolf glared at him.  "If you ever touch her again I will run you down
and slaughter you like the beast you are.  Right now, Kagome needs to feel
safe.  When she wakes up you will tell her you are sorry and that it will
never happen again, understand?"
 
 
"What if I'm not sorry?"  Inuyasha challenged him.
 
 
"I don't think that a certain clay miko would appreciated the knowledge that
you attacked and attempted to rape Kagome when you are supposed to be the love
of her life.  In fact I think that might speed up the date of your little
trip to hell.  Behave, Inuyasha or I will bring your existence crashing
down around you, right before I beat the last breath from your body.  I
have always restrained myself with you.  One never knows when another will
prove useful but I have come to realize that you are useless.  The only
thing you are needed for right now is your brute strength.  It will require
all of us to bring down Naraku.  Just don't forget that I carry the
strength and cunning of a full demon and if I unleash it on you, it will be to
ensure that you never breathe again.  Got it?" 
 
 
Inuyasha growled but turned away.  Kouga had him, for certain now. 
If he had been able to claim Kagome he probably could have found some way to
keep Kikyo from discovering this fact until Kagome's usefulness ended and she
returned to her world.  However, if Kouga were to tell Kikyo......her sense
of honor would not allow her to dally with someone who was mated, even if that
person did not consider the mating permanent.  He strode away into the
woods to consider his next move.
 
 
Kouga lifted Kagome and strode back to camp with the canteens slung over his
shoulder.
