~Hey minna! I told you I hadn't abandoned this fic. Sorry it took me so long but I just didn't know how to go into the next part in the story. In this chapter there will be a lot of flashbacks because we're covering three days of lapsed time. Ne ways on with the fic!~

"THREE DAYS!", Jinx vented to Kagome and Sango in lunch that Friday, "It's been three days and I still haven't seen or heard from that dog, no pun intended, Sessoumaru."

"I'm sure he has a good reason Jinx." Kagome told her soothingly

"Name one." Jinx challenged her.

"Um he was run over by a car and is now in critical condition?" Kagome tried sheepishly.

"Don't get my hopes up Kag." Jinx said dryly, "Do you realize that if Sessoumaru doesn't show up and we don't get started on this project my entire international academic career will be over?"

"Don't you think your carrying this a bit far Jinx?" Sango asked her.

"No. It's true. I'll fail photography. I'll never get into Spellman or Berkley or NYU."

"Jinx." Sango cut in.

"I'll never graduate Magna Cum Laude. I'll never get my double major in Archeology and Anthropology.

"Jinx." Sango tried again.

Or my minor in photo journalism. I'll never find Atlantis or the Lunar temple! I'll...I'll...I'll have to get a real job!"

"JINX!" Sango finally yelled.

"WHAT! Can't you see I'm ranting here?"

"Jinx if it's such a big a deal why don't you just go to his house and see him?"

Sango and Kagome both observed as their new friend got a slightly panicked look on her face.

"Nope can't do that, won't do that." Jinx told them both with a resolute shake of her head.

"Why not?" Sango and Kagome asked at the same time.

"Jinx you owe me a soda." Jinx told them then started mumbling to herself. "Yeah why can't I go over there? Because I know what's going to happen that's why. But I do want it to happen. Don't I? Yes. No! nonononononono NO! But I can do this I can control myself. Can't I?!"

Kagome and Sango just shook their heads at Jinx. Over the past few days they learned that when she started to talk to herself like this it was best to just leave her alone to work it out alone.

"Is she talking to herself again?" Mirouku asked as he and Inuyasha came to sit with the girls.

"Yep." Kagome answered him as Sango just ignored him.

"Hi Sango. How's it going?" Mirouku asked her tentatively. Sango just continued to ignore him. "Oh C'mon Sango. You can't still be mad can you?"

Before Sango could answer him Jinx snapped out of her haze and turned to Inuyasha.

"You!" Jinx exclaimed pointing to Inuyasha. "You live with him. Where is he?"

"Where is who wench?"

"Your bother you overgrown flea bag!"

"I don't know." Inuyasha told her. "And he's my half brother."

"Whatever. Wait a minute. What do you mean you don't know?! You LIVE with him
for Kami's sake!"

"Look all I know is I saw him briefly a few days ago. We're not exactly close."

"No kidding."

"Damnit Mirouku just back off!" Sango exclaimed causing everyone to stop what
they were doing.

"No I won't back off! Sango we have to talk about us."

"What us Mirouku? You completely blew whatever chance of an us there was. Now I'm a part of a new us. Us as in me and Palo.

"That pretty boy wannabe."

"You know what Mirouku I don't have time for this I have to go. I'll see you guys later." With that Sango picked up her books and left.

"Nice job Mirouku." Jinx told him. Mirouku just glared at her and left the table.

"What was that all about?" Inuyasha asked Kagome and Jinx.

"You mean you don't know?" Kagome asked him.

"Know what?

"Mirouku didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what freak it?"

"Well you know that things were just getting things started between them. With a
little help from a certain 'jinx' " Kagome told him.

"What do you mean?" Inuyasha asked her.

(Flashback)

"Sango are you and Mirouku going out?" Jinx asked her as she caught Sango and Mirouku making moon eyes at each other for the millionth time that day. As Jinx, Kagome, and Sango sat in music class on Jinx's second day.

"No!" Sango quickly denied. Blushing a slight rose.

"Look I'm only asking because I've only been here two days and even I can see that you two are so in love it's sickening.

t trt true." Kagome chimed in.

"And If I can see it I know everyone else can to."

"They cannot!" Sango practically yelled.

"Oh no?" Jinx asked her. "Watch this." Jinx told Sango and Kagome as she stood on her chair in front of the class.

"Excuse me!" Jinx yelled to the class. "I have a question for you. Mirouku this concerns you so listen up."

"Jinx what are you doing?!" Sango hissed at her soon to be dead friend.

"I'm doing you a favor and proving that I'm right all at the same time. Be quiet." Jinx turned back to the class who was looking at the her expectantly.

"Question. Are Sango and Mirouku in love?" Jinx asked them.

"Yes." The class answered at once.

"Who are they in love with?"

"Each other." The class answered again.

"Thanks" Jinx told them. "See?" Jinx asked a beet red Sango.

"Jinx." Sango ground out through clenched teeth. "I'm gonna, I'm gonna..."

"Name your first born after me?"

"KILL YOU!"

"Or you could come with me, ditch class, and we could talk." Mirouku suggested
helpfully as he came up behind them.

"That would be great." Sango told him gratefully. So saying she picked up her stuff and walked out of the class with him.

(End Flashback)

"You are truly crazy." Inuyasha said to Jinx incredulously.

"What?" Jinx asked him trying to look innocent.

"That doesn't explain why Sango isn't talking to him now. Wait. Did he do something stupid while they were talking?"

"Oh he did something stupid all right." Kagome told Inuyasha. "But not while they were talking. Sango told us after music class that she and Mirouku had decided to try being a couple. She was so excited but the trouble came the next day on Wednesday. When Palo came to our school.

"The Italian exchange student?" Inuyasha asked.

"Yep. Jinx was asked to show him around since she speaks Italian."

"You speak Italian?" Inuyasha asked Jinx.

"Si. Parlo italiano e Sango parla poco."

"Huh?" Inuyasha said looking confused.

"I said, yes I speak Italian and Sango speaks a little, and since Palo is in her advanced youkai anatomy class they hit it off."

"So that's why Mirouku did the stupid thing?"

"No. And if you'd stop interrupting I'll tell you what happened." Kagome told him
impatiently.

"Fine! If you would just tell the story better I wouldn't have to ask so many questions wench."

"Why you..."

"Alright you two knock it off." Jinx told them both.

"Fine." Kagome said with a huff.

"Just finish the damn story already." Inuyasha snapped impatiently as Kagome just rolled her eyes at him.

"Well, I don't know what happened to Mirouku but Sango and I were going to our lockers and..."

(Flashback)

"You and Mirouku are a couple FINALLY!" Kagome exclaimed happily to Sango.

"I know but it's just sort of a trial basis thing. We're just going to see how it goes."

"You are so excited." Kagome stated matter of factly.

"Yeah I am." Sango admitted as she and Kagome burst out laughing. As they rounded the corner Sango suddenly went silent.

"Sango?" Kagome asked looking at her friend worriedly. "Sango what's wrong?"

As Kagome turned her head to see what had put Sango into a state of shock she became shocked herself as her brain couldn't seem to comprehend what her eyes were seeing. Mirouku and Kagura were up against Mirouku's locker. And they were kissing.

"You bastard." Sango choked out so low that there was no way Mirouku could have heard it. But for some reason he looked up anyway, but before he could say anything Sango turned and ran.

(End Flashback)

"HE WHAT!" Inuyasha ground out as the bell rang signaling the end of lunch.

"I still can't believe it myself and I was there." Kagome said dumping her tray. "So now she's not talking to him."

"Okay I get all that but why was he so cold to you Jinx?" Inuyasha asked confused.

"Because Sango was so upset it looked like she needed to have some fun so when I remembered she told me Palo had asked her out so I persuaded her to go. Needless to say Mirouku wasn't happy when he found out." Jinx told him.

"Why the fuck would you do that?!"

"Because Sango doesn't need to sit around and wait for Mirouku to see what an amazing person she is. If someone else sees it and decides to go after her more power to them."

"I still think you should go find Mirouku and talk to him Jinx." Kagome said always the voice of reason and compassion.

"All right fine. I'll go find him and talk to him. Cover for us in music class?"

"Sure."

Jinx started to run down the hall but stopped suddenly and turned back around.

'You know Inuyasha you might want to think long and hard about what happened before the same thing happens to you." And with that she dissapeard into the crush of students in the hall.

"You know she's right Inuyasha." Kagome told him. "You need to think about what she said.

"Maybe I'm already doing that." Inuyasha said softly looking into Kagome's eyes.

"Maybe I am."

"Hey Mirouku can we talk?" Jinx asked having found him in a stairwell.

"What about?"

"Mirouku I need for you to explain to me why you're mad at me."

"Why?! Hmm, let me think. Could it be because you're the one who told Sango to go out with that Italian gigolo. Knowing how I felt about her. How could you do that to me Jinx?"

"Oh I see. This is all about you. How I hurt you by telling Sango to go out with someone who will treat her th way she deserves to be treated. Not string her along waiting for the time when you're ready for a relationship."

"That's not what I meant."

"Oh really what did you mean?"

"You wouldn't understand."

"Explain it to me."

"I..it's just...hell I don't know Jinx." Mirouku finally told her hanging his head between his legs. Jinx could see how hard this was for him and decided to take pity on him.

"Look Mirouku I'm gonna give it you straight alright. Now I don't know what happened in that hallway because I wasn't there. But I do know this. The reason your feeling like such a baka is because you just realized what Sango just realized."

"What's that Jinx."

"That she is an incredible, beautiful, talented, amazing girl. And she's going to grow up to be an incredible, amazing, beautiful, successful woman, and that she doesn't have time to wait for you to see that. So if she's found someone like Palo who can see that... Do you get what I'm saying honey?

"Yeah I get what your saying. It's just that what everyone thinks happened didn't
really happen. Kagura kissed me I didn't kiss her."

"Mirouku why didn't you just walk away."

"I don't know."

"You do know and instead of sitting here felling sorry for your self you need to talk to Sango."

"How can I she won't even stay in a room long enough for me to try to explain."

"See there you go feeling sorry for yourself again. MAKE her listen. Now your lucky that it wasn't me who saw you kissing som els else. Because if I were in Sango's place I would have slapped you till my hand hurt THEN slapped you again for making it hurt." Jinx told him grinning. Mirouku looked at her and finally started to laugh shaking his head.

"You're right."

"Mother always is." Jinx said matter of factly giving Mirouku a hug around the shoulders. "Now what are we going to do about that Italian gigolo?"

"I'll think of something." Mirouku told her standing up. "You know what Jinx?" He asked helping her to stand up.

"What?"

"You're a really good friend."

"Yes, yes I am." Jinx agreed looking smug. "You really don't deserve me."

"Well may this unworthy one speak."

"You may."

"Well it seems to me that you should do what you told me. Now I don't know what happened when you went over to Sessoumaru's house but you've been sitting around for three days waiting for him to show up. Maybe you should go and see what's going on with him instead of waiting for him to make the first move,"

"He's right you know." Came a disembodied male voice over Jinx's sidekick.

"I know he's right. I just hate the fact that you know besides the not calling me
thing."

"Yeah."
"And the not e-mailing me thing."

"Yeah."

"Is the fact that he hasn't even come to school."

"There must be a good reason J."

"You know what Danny I am so sick of people telling me that, because the only good reason I can think of is what almost happened in his bedroom."

"Well you need to go see him you know that."

"Yes I do know that it's just at the present time I am so pissed off at him right now, I now have to pull over and release some energy. That is how much I have pent up inside me Danny." And so saying she pulled over her Viper to the side of the road next to a small, empty, barren field.

"Didn't you release today? Jinx you know better."

Jinx just sighed. Yes she did know better she'd known all her life. The only person who could possibly know more about her powers was her best friend Danny. Danny, who was one-fourth youkai and native American, knew her better than anyone. They had known each other since before she could remember. Their mothers used to bathe them together.

And sometimes when Jinx and her uncle would travel Danny would come with them. And when Danny couldn't come they had made a pinkie swear pact that no matter where they were, no matter what they were doing they to call each other every seventy-two hours

"Want some help?" Danny asked her.

No I can handle it I'll call you after I finish speaking to the high and mighty ice prince."

"Was he the one I saw Jinx?" Danny asked her.

"None of your business. If you want to know you'll have to come out to Japan and see me."

"I might do just that." Danny told her in teasing tones.

"Ha ha." Jinx told him as she stood in the middle of the field.

"But on the real Jinx I have something to tell you."

"What?"

"That you will be getting some surprises soon."

"Vegetable, animal or mineral?"

"Definitely animal. Talk to ya later. Be safe."

"One." Jinx told him as she hung up the phone with a sigh. She didn't think she could handle any more surprises. And with that thought Jinx closed her eyes and opened herself to the powers within her and the powers around her. As she took a deep breath she pushed out all the extra energy from her body giving back to the earth that which the earth had given her. When she was done she looked around and smiled. For the once empty and barren field was now covered in thousands and thousands of wildflowers in every color imaginable.
