CHAPTER 3, PART 1 -
~*~ Sorry for the update delay guys. I've been working on 'Firebrand' as of late and whew, did that take forever to finish. But now I'm back to write a new chapter for this story. Again it might be very long and divided into parts, so bear with me guys. Now on to the thanx! ^_^
to Lllmamma: Hi, sweetie, thanx for being my loyal reviewer for this story. In fact, my ONLY reviewer as of yet. ^_^ I hope you enjoy this next installment. Btw, I can't e-mail you everytime I update, sorry. I can't even open my e-mail using the 3ds. I don't know why, but there you have it *sigh*. But I hope that won't put you off reading okay? Thanx again! Love ya lots! ^_^
AND TO YOU READING THIS: THANX FOR HITTING ME UP TO 200+ VIEWS!!! ^_^ Feedbacks are always welcome guys, don't be shy to leave your comments and suggestions in the reviews section. Just be sure to be nice about it okay? Good or bad comments are fine by me as long as you say it nicely. ^_^ Oh, and if I haven't shamefully plugged it yet, I recommend for you to read the Book I of this story. Not that it's totally necessary, but it might explain why some things in Book II are the way they are now. Also check out my historical, 'Firebrand'. If you love that era, this one's definitely for you. Still stars Inuyasha and Kagome as the main couple. That's it, guys. Happy reading and I hope you enjoy this one! Thanx again! ^_^ ~*~

Chapter Three, Part I -
It was already two in the morning when Kagome got home. Her mom was still up waiting for her, worried something must've happened to her. Before her mom could even ask her why she's late coming home, Kagome held up a hand as she raced to the nearest telephone. Explaining to her mother can be done later. First things first: she had to call Sango.
She quickly calculated the time difference, and thanked God Sango was probably awake to take her call. Not that it mattered anyway. This was an emergency.
Mrs. Higurashi was already back in the kitchen to brew some tea for her and her daughter as Kagome waited impatiently for her bestfriend to pick up the phone.
"Hello?"
The voice was husky, sultry even. Kagome still envied Sango her bedroom-perfect voice. She used to tease Sango that she probably had lots of 'SOP' invites to last her a lifetime. Sango always rolled her eyes before admitting she's right. Then they would both burst out laughing like lunatics.
"Sango, it's Kagome,"
"Kagome-chan! How are you? Is everything all right there? It's["
There was a pause as Sango obviously looked at what time it was.
"Holy shit, it must be two or three in the morning there! Now I know something's up. What's the matter?"
Kagome smiled at the 'don't beat around the bush' approach, missing her friend terribly. She used to spend most of her time with Sango when she was in the States, including her imp of a brother, Kohaku. Sango was the sister Kagome never had.
"Yes, it's two a.m here now. And something's definitely up. Remember when I told you there were no vampires here in Japan? Well, now there are,"
She said matter-of-factly and waited for Sango to hit the roof. She wasn't kept waiting for very long.
"Shit! How did that happen? They must be planning something big. Just think about how many demons are there, Kagome. If they manage to drink at least part of the youkai blood there["
Sango stopped talking. There was no need to voice out what could happen were vampires to over-power the demons. Both she and Kagome knew exactly what would happen: they were going to be unstoppable.
"That's it. I'll be there as fast as I can get there. Be ready to pick me up, Kagome["
"There's more, Sango,"
Sango waited with bated breath as to what more horrible news Kagome had in store for her.
"Remember when I told you how I used to have... dreams?"
"You've had lots of dreams, girl, and you usually tell me all about it. Which one of those is it?"
Sango sighed impatiently, wanting Kagome to get at the bottomline. She could feel her friend's hesitation through the phone line.
"The one with the silver-haired guy. The one where I think I'm seeing my past life,"
Now Sango's interest was piqued. Those dreams were like constant companions to Kagome. It actually saved her sanity lots of times when she felt she was lost.
"Don't tell me you've found him,"
Kagome shook her head, forgetting her friend couldn't see the gesture.
"Yes[I mean, no. Well, I saw a silver-haired man, but he wasn't really a man. I don't think he's the one in my dreams. And there's this other guy, the one who reminds me of my dreams. But he has black hair. Oh Sango, do you think I'm losing my mind?"
"Nope. Well, at least I hope so. Don't worry, we'll figure it all out once I'm there. But right now, stay focused and on the alert, Kagome-chan. You can't afford to lose your cool. I'd better go, I have things to do before I hop on the plane,"
"Bye, Sango-chan. And hurry,"
