A Royal Pain

Sesshoumaru was getting bored just walking around for what seemed like hours. There wasn’t much to do now that Naraku was defeated. Sure the demon Lord killed some lower demons and a pack of human bandits, but it wasn’t enough to keep him busy until sunset.

Therefore Sesshoumaru headed back towards the village. He would gather Inuyasha and do some more battle training with the boy. One had to keep up on such things since one never knew when such training would perhaps save one’s life.

Sesshoumaru took his time and followed the scent of his brother. Perhaps after his Lord’s bath he could persuade Inuyasha to remain behind so he could train his little brother in some other more intimate ways. Just the thought alone of taking his brother willingly made the demon Lord’s cock start to twitch in delight.

Kagome and Sango watched as their husbands left the village to go gather more provisions although Sango stated they had more than enough. She knew that Miroku would be bored if he had to stay in the village for too long and if he did stay then he would grope her while she was busy trying to take care of things like a good wife.

It wasn’t that Miroku couldn’t handle helping his wife out with the daily chores; it was that his ‘cursed’ hand would always end up in places that were inappropriate in front of everyone so Sango still ended up slapping him while he tried to make excuses for himself. It was a good thing Sango loved the monk otherwise she would have beaten him senseless by now.

Miroku sighed as he walked out of the village with Inuyasha who wasn’t certain he wanted to follow the monk to some new Lord’s house to eradicate another low demon. Sometimes he wondered why he followed Miroku in the first place. The guy was just asking to get killed with him being as greedy as he was.

Other monks would help villagers out for free, but Miroku was one of the few monks that was able to make a profit from his exorcisms. He also had those beguiling violet eyes that made many of the young women swoon. He used his good looks to swindle his way into the hearts of the villagers since he indeed had a silver tongue and did indeed rid their villages of demons.

“So what line are you going to use today Miroku? I swear that using that ominous dark cloud over their village is getting old.”

Miroku laughed.

“Yes I have been using that one a lot lately, but for this slaying it will be different since Sango received a letter specifically stating that this Lord wished for her to personally come to remove the demon. I told the messenger to let the Lord know that Sango is pregnant, but I can come in her place to remove this demon so I am hoping they will understand when I arrive in her place.”

Inuyasha frowned. This didn’t sound like their average demon and Inuyasha didn’t like the idea of going to this place without Sango since they had indeed wanted to have her come to them. Sango was pregnant, but she could still fight if necessary.

“Why not bring Sango with us? I mean I know she is pregnant, but she is still early in her pregnancy and can fight. You know she might just kick your ass if you don’t tell her what is going on.”

Miroku sighed and patted Inuyasha on the back.

“I can’t take her with me my friend. It is too dangerous and although she can fight, Sango is my wife. She has other duties to attend to. I am not going to let my wife battle any demons unless it is necessary. You will feel the same way when Kagome is carrying your pups.”

Inuyasha snorted.

“Kagome can’t go do anything like hunt demons with me because she will get herself captured again and the sacred jewel isn’t here anymore so her miko powers have waned a bit.’
“Besides, soon I will be leaving with her to Sesshoumaru’s castle. There I am certain she will be taken care of by me and my brother. Kagome will have the duties of a Lady and that will keep her very busy and out of trouble. It will be nice not to have to worry about my wife getting kidnapped by some bastard that wants to kill me cause those that want to will not only have to deal with me, but my brother as well. Believe me no one will want to piss off Sesshoumaru unless they want to be slaughtered.”

Miroku smiled sadly. He really did want Inuyasha to stay with them in the village. Inuyasha had become like a brother to him and bathing wouldn’t be as fun since Miroku liked being able to ogle his best friend on occasion. In fact he was going to ask Inuyasha if he wanted to have a foursome with him and Sango since there was no one else who would do for such things.

“Well we are almost there.”

Miroku stated to Inuyasha who looked around a bit.

“Haven’t we been here before Miroku?”

Inuyasha stated smelling the area and noticing a group of armored men coming out of the castle to greet them including a young Lord.

“I am Lord Kuranosuke Takeda. I have heard of Sango’s situation. I congratulate you Monk Miroku since you have won Sango’s heart. However, my offer still stands for Sango.’
“Because you are associated with the woman I love I will allow you to take care of this demon. In return you will receive the same amount of gold that I had offered before. My only request is that you and my men would escort me so that I may properly give a small wedding gift to Sango since I hope we will still remain friends.”

Inuyasha was shocked at the amount of gold that was given to Miroku. It would be enough to finish rebuilding the slayer’s village plus some.

Miroku took the gold but felt rather awkward. Lord Takeda was too generous and honestly how could he compete with such a wealthy Lord? Truth was he only had his silver tongue and his good looks, but in comparison to the handsome Lord he felt rather insignificant.

“You are giving me too much Lord Takeda. I am afraid I cannot take this much gold for killing a lower demon.”

Lord Takeda waved his hand at Miroku’s modesty.

“Keep it. You will need this for a growing family. It is not that much and I would gladly give more if it is needed. I had heard what happened to the demon slayer village. They were good allies to me and my people. The least I can do is send help to rebuild the village. That is the gift I plan to give to Sango as a wedding present. I hope that will ease her mind. I am certain she is quite anxious to get these things done so she can move forward with her life.’
“I am also hoping that as you rebuild the village that you will continue your work on removing these demons. My castle is riddled with several rather annoying pests. Since that purple ominous cloud no longer floats over the land we have suffered other misfortunes since now demons feel that they can take over our lands. I will not tolerate it. Thus is why you are here. Please help my people and remove these insidious creatures from my lands. If my castle is slightly damaged I will understand, but I do ask that you try to avoid damages if possible.”

Inuyasha shrugged. He had tessaiga at his side and could kill a hundred demons with one stroke and the backlash wave would destroy the rest if there were any left. He kind of was looking forward to a real fight, but most likely it was going to just be a bunch of lower demons that came out after Naraku died.

“We can get rid of ‘em for ya. No problem.”

Lord Takeda nodded, but figured he had better warn them that the leader of this bunch of demons who were trying to take over his lands was no ordinary demon.

“I should warn you that there is a particular demon that controls the others. He looks human although his eyes glow red in the darkness. He propositioned me to be his mate so that he could take over my lands and feed my people to his demonic allies. I did not get a name from him, but he is cold like ice and ruthless.”

Inuyasha thought of his brother, but truth was Sesshoumaru wasn’t the type of guy who would mate a human.

“Can you give us a description of this demon? What does he look like?”

Lord Takeda thought about it for a moment.

“He has bright green eyes that look like a dragon and they glow when he talks. He had long straight black hair and one might say he was handsome to look upon, but I could feel his evil deep within. This form of human he has chosen gives him the ability to use fire since he burned down one of our neighboring villages.’
“I would go after him personally, but he had wiped out a large battalion of my men and we cannot afford to lose more soldiers. That is why I called for you since I know your hanyou is famous for killing off hundreds of powerful demons. Your group is well known for destroying demons, but I of course was just watching out for Sango since I made a vow to myself that if she did not have another I would be her choice for a husband.”

Miroku nodded. He really didn’t like this Lord Kuranosuke Takeda. Just the idea of his wife being near this guy pissed him off. He wanted to refuse to take Lord Takeda back with them to the village, but the Lord had not requested anything out of the ordinary.

“Inuyasha and I will deal with this demon. I am certain he probably thinks of himself as a higher demon but we have fought such kinds before and they always end up six feet under.”

Inuyasha nodded as both bowed.

“I shall offer you food than and a place to rest. My men will take care of you. This demon comes every night to woo me so this night should be no different than any other.”

Lord Takeda stated.

“Can we send a messenger to our village to let our wives know where we are?”

Inuyasha then cringed. He totally forgot about the Lord’s bath at sunset.

“I will need a more formal message for my elder brother. Lord Sesshoumaru is a diayouki and I would rather him not come upon us without the knowledge of what we are doing here.”

Lord Takeda smiled.

“Of course. Do you think that your brother might fight alongside you? It would be quite impressive to see this Lord Sesshoumaru in action. I have heard of him and his reign in the Western lands. Is he as deadly as they say?”

Lord Takeda stated excitedly. He had heard from neighboring Lords that Lord Sesshoumaru was the most beautiful of all demons and the most powerful. It would be an honor to have such a man come to aid them although Lord Sesshoumaru was not known for helping humans very often unless he had an agenda in which he would prosper.

“My brother will not come to aid humans. He is above such things, but he may come to look for me since I am supposed to return to his castle by tomorrow evening so I really am hoping this will not take long.”

Miroku nodded. He too wanted to get back to the village. Tonight was the night that he could see a very naked Sesshoumaru with his wife. Miroku had desperately wanted to be a part of the bath that Sesshoumaru was going to have so he might get a chance to touch the demon Lord’s glorious body.

Kagome and Sango were a bit worried about their husbands until a messenger arrived. He had come by horse and was looking at the two females as they finished hanging up the wash. They only had a few minutes left until they had to meet up with Lord Sesshoumaru by the hot springs.

The young soldier walked swiftly to the two young women and bowed.

“Lady Sango, I bring you word from Lord Kuranosuke Takeda. Your husbands Lord Inuyasha and Master Miroku will be detained indefinitely. They are to remain at Lord Takeda’s castle until the demons are eradicated.’
“Is Lord Sesshoumaru here by chance?”

Sango felt a strong demonic aura as a ball of light came towards them and it materialized in front of the two women as Lord Sesshoumaru decided to come early.

Lord Sesshoumaru looked at the human soldier who asked for him by name.

“Inu No Tashio, Lord Sesshoumaru, I bring news from your brother Inuyasha.”

Sesshoumaru looked at the soldier like he was a bug he could squash under his boot heel.

“What is this news?”

The soldier swallowed and hoped that Lord Sesshoumaru wouldn’t kill him for this since it was indeed the words that his brother sent.

“Your brother states that he is taking care of a demon pest and he wants you to stay out of his fight since he thinks you are a vain asshole that likes to show off. Also, he may be late to go with you to the castle.”

Sesshoumaru frowned.

“Where is my brother?”

“He is at Lord Kuranosuke Takeda’s palace my Lord.”

“Hn……..”

Sesshoumaru contemplated what he was going to do. Sango still had to give him a Lord’s bath. That would take time though out of his schedule since now he had to change things. Sango would still provide him with a Lord’s bath, but the location would need to be changed.

“Kagome, Sango, gather the children you are both coming with me. Where is Rin?”

Kagome frowned. She didn’t want to go with Lord Fluffy until her husband was back. Sango frowned too, but then shrugged. They were going to go with the asshole so there was no point in arguing.

“Rin is with Lady Kaede picking medicinal herbs from Jinenji’s field. It is a day’s walk from here.”

Sesshoumaru nodded and then waited for the two young women to gather their things. They were all going to go to this human Lord’s castle. He wanted his little brother and refused to have his plans changed all because Inuyasha wanted to play hero again.

“You……”

Sesshoumaru pointed to the messenger.

“You will take me and these women to this Lord Kuranosuke Takeda.”

Sesshoumaru then whistled as his two headed dragon came into view.

“Jaken…….”

Sesshoumaru looked down at his vassal.

“Yes my Lord?”

Jaken waited with hope filled eyes.

“You will take Au Un to get Rin. She is to now return to the castle since her training is done here. Also, bring the old woman back. She will find another to train in the healing arts or I will send one of the servants from my castle to compensate her loss of adequate healers.”

Jaken frowned and kicked the dirt. He didn’t want to go after Rin. He was hoping his great, powerful, and beautiful Lord would need him for battle. Still if his Lord wanted him to do this than it would be done.

“Yes my Lord.”

Jaken squawked as he climbed on board of Ah Un.
