Chapter 11
Another fifty years passed and moving around was getting harder for Sesshoumeru. He now sat at the base of Meryasha’s grave. He knew that the end was near.
“I have found no one Meryasha. I have searched the entire kingdom. I have failed you and Father. Funny part is I do not care anymore. I have found that in the end you are the only person I wish to be around so now we shall be together for all eternity. Isn’t that ironic? I have said I wanted to kill you and yet you have killed me.’
“I want you to know Meryasha that letting go is ok. You can die now and so can I. Father will be ok. He has now mourned us both. He will make a new heir and he won’t be as foolish as we were.”
Sesshoumeru laughed a bit before a tear fell from his eyes.
“I did not realize it Meryasha, but perhaps you should know how I feel before I die. I did love you. No matter what I said I loved you. Maybe not in the way the spell wanted me to love you, but I do love you truly little brother.”
With that a light glowed around them both. Sesshoumeru felt his heard warm and the arrow disappeared in Meryasha’s chest. He woke up.
Kagomesui came out and screamed. She had lost again.
“NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”
Meryasha came too and the casket burst causing glass shards to enter into Kagomesui’s black heart.
“Meryasha? You are alive!”
Sesshoumeru hugged his little brother who hugged him back.
“You didn’t leave me.”
Sesshoumeru smiled.
“I didn’t leave you. I won’t ever leave you again.”
Meryasha felt free and alive. Never again would he be so foolish as to look for happiness elsewhere. He had it at home.
Father came to greet his sons and felt such joy. Both his boys were alive and free of the evil witch’s spells. Eventually Meryasha let go of his love for Kickyou and found that as time went by he found love in his brother he would find nowhere else. They no longer fought and had many wonderful conversations together.
Meryasha and Sesshoumeru knew that brotherly love was stronger than even romantic love. It was an unconditional love that would last forever.
