A/N: Sorry for the delay in updates, but sometimes life happens, and when it does oh boy look out.

Kookoo: I’m glad you are enjoying the story, thanks for the support!

“Wakey wakey,” a voice cooed in her ear. Taijina rolled over to distant herself from the irritant. Suddenly she felt as if she was going to be sick. “Come on, can’t have you expel the poison on your nice sheets.”

Helping Taijina sit up on the bed, Ash place a bucket on her lap before she began to hurl. Holding her hair back it seemed forever before Taijina’s stomach calmed. Taking a warm wet cloth, Ash cleaned Taijina’s face.

“Better?” Ash asked, as Taijina gave her a deathly glare. “There’s my girl! Now take care of you personal needs and get dressed while I have someone change these sheets, and air out this room.”

“I hate you,” Taijina groaned as Ash helped her get up and walk towards her personal area. “Just how long was I out?”

“About two months,” Ash giggled. “Your Lord will be happy to know you have awaken. He has sliced through me five times already.”

“That sounds like Sesshomaru,” she groaned again, the pain rolling off her body in waves.

“After we clean you up and I give you something to reduce the pain I’ll let you have a visitor,” Ash said with a evil twinkle in her eyes.

“You scare me sometimes,” Taijina yawned, and tried to stretch. “I need to get into that hot spring, my muscles are stiff and sore.”

“Why does Lord Sesshomaru let us stay here,” Sango sighed. They had been living in the castle for two months now. Said lord was out patrolling his lands, making sure no unwanted demons had moved into his territory. Sango and Miroku where sitting in the dinning hall enjoying a late lunch.

“I do believe the Lord has accept InuYasha into his pack,” Miroku replied, while sipping his sake. “And as we are apart of InuYasha’s own pack, when Sesshomaru marked him as pack he took him baggage and all.”

“Who cares what that bastard does,” InuYasha huffed as he walked in and sat down next to Miroku.

“I take it from your mood she is still unwell,” Miroku guessed as he poured InuYasha a cup of sake.

“Feh,” InuYasha sneered as he took the cup from Miroku.

“Honestly, you all have so little faith in my abilities,” Ash laughed as she walked into the room and leaned on the wall left of the doorway. “Have I not proving myself by keeping her alive this long?”

“That remains to be seen,” Sesshomaru said as he leaned in the doorway. “As far as I know she is just laying in her bed under some spell?”

“Because she’s not in her bed,” Ash snorted as she sat next to Sango and poured herself some sake. “For your information she is relaxing in the hot springs after expelling the last of the poison from her system this morning.”

“You know he left after you said hot springs right,” Miroku said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. Sango grabbed her boomerang and slammed it on Miroku’s head a crossed the table.
“Can’t say he didn’t deserve that one,” InuYasha commented as they all sipped their sake, Miroku knocked out on the floor.

Taijina let her self float in the warm water. She had just finished washing her body and hair, and now she just wished for the warm water to relieve the ache in her bones. This was her favorite spot in the castle, a little stream flowed into the castle, and pooled into one of the lower levels. It was a natural pool that the castle was built on top of, and it was the most peaceful spot in the whole castle.

“Why did you not inform me you where awake?” Sesshomaru asked as he leaned against the wall of the in closed area of the pool. Taijina slowly turned to face him, before letting out a yelp and ducking behind a rock to hide her nakedness.

“Couldn’t you ask me this at a better time?” she asked peaking out behind the rock.

“Why do you hide from me?” Sesshomaru asked he, hiding his amusement behind his cold mask.

“Some of us around here have a sense of decency,” she hissed.

“Decency,” he snorted. “You know how ironic that is coming from you?”

“Shut up,” she growled, getting pissed off at his attitude. Leaning over the rock she glared at him. “It was your own fault I left. Maybe I shouldn’t have told you the truth. Your own father knew you couldn’t handle the truth, hence why he trust me with it.”

“Maybe you should have told me sooner and not a week before out mating ceremony,” he growled. The arguments where old, but the pain was still fresh in both minds.

“I agree my timing was off,” she sighed. “But that did not give you permission to treat me as you did. Then you forbade me from fighting against the Panther Divas. You did all but tell me to leave your presents, but I got the message loud and clear. Once I’m healed I leave again, just so you don’t have to put up with me. Tolerate me like you did before.”

“I was not myself when I said those things to you,” he sighed, knowing if he was going to get anywhere from her he would have to explain himself. Then maybe she would finally explain herself. “Under the pressure of the elders I had to forbid you from fighting. As you where a female and the intended Lady of the West it was unwise to put you into harms way. As for the rest, I was simply reacting to what my father had told you. I personally never intended you to think I was trying to drive you away. We shall talk more once you feel better.”

Taijina watched him walk out without another word passed between them. Getting out of the pool and drying herself off she thought over his words. Picking up her silver informal kimono, she started to dress, without assistance like she preferred. One draw back to being the intended Lady of the West was you always had a servant to do everything for you. She had tired of that quickly, and had done her best to avoid servants whenever possible.

“Still thinking?” Ash asked as she walked in.

“Today has been a day of more questions then answers,” Taijina replied as she bind her long hair into a pale blue ribbon. “Although he did apologized to me.”

“Wait,” Ash gaped. “Lord Sesshomaru, the cold sadistic bastard of the west, said sorry?”

“He didn’t say sorry per say,” Taijina replied as they headed back towards her room. “But he did say it in his own way.”

“Well know I know why his father picked you to be his mate,” Ash snorted. “Only you would except a half bake apology he could give.”

“Shut up Ash,” Taijina growled, trying to hold back a yawn. Her energy seemed spent.

“Come you still need to rest,” Ash replied as she dragged her back to her room.

“You know we have to tell InuYasha sometime,” Sango told Miroku as they watched InuYasha and Rin play tag in the gardens.

“I know my dear Sango,” Miroku sighed as he watch his friend hide his broken heart. “But we have to make sure he is okay. The lost of Lady Kagome still affects him so. When he thinks no one is looking he looks so sad. We have to be there for him.”

“We can’t live in the Western Palace forever,” Sango remarked, as she leaned against one of the pillars. “We all miss Kagome, but she would want us to go on with our lives.”

“I know,” Miroku replied. “We will move to one of the villages in the western lands close to the palace once we know he will be alright.”

“Will he ever be alright without Kagome,” Sango thought out loud. “He lost his heart when she was forced through the well.”
