Healing A Broken Heart

Well Dear Readers I still don’t own any of the characters accept my own which I created happily with my own demented imagination. Also wow I finally got a flame from someone about how I spell Yoaki it’s suppose to be spelled Yoauki? Guess what…I DON’T CARE! Im not going to go back through EVERY single chapter and respell that single WORD! That would take WAY to long and you guys wouldn’t ever get another chapter update until I finished updating…so..Yeah I decided to continue to spell it the way I have been spelling it. So if anyone else has a problem with how I spell yoaki then be nice and don’t bother to read this anymore because your issues with my spelling errors are your own problems. I warned people before hand that I spelled things wrong and I knew I had. Now…that im done with that personal little rant here’s more of the story…perhaps some Lemon between Kagome and Inuyasha…but then again..Perhaps not…hehehehehhe…let the evilness continue! ON WITH THE STORY!

Kagome sat in the passenger seat after they had left Koga and Rin at the apartment. Fingers twisted a bit of Kleenex in her lap as she gazed out the front lost in her own thoughts. What she had done with Inuyasha in the bar had been great, but she wasn’t sure if she really wanted to go all the way with him yet. The thoughts of possibly getting pregnant scared her to death. Glancing over she tried to smile. “Inuyasha”

“What’s up Kagome?” He never took his eyes off the road; they were coming into a bit of traffic. Most of it the late night bar traffic, which meant cops, would be out in full force.

“About tonight” She hesitated wondering if he would get mad at her. “I don’t think im really ready for what you have in mind”

Inuyasha just blinked looking over to her for a second before returning his eyes on the traffic. “Oh” That’s all he said. Slowing down as he started to get over in the merge lane to take her home.

“You don’t have to take me Home Inuyasha,” She protested, seeing turn signal flick on.

He didn’t respond, turning the car down the street. “Why not Kagome?” He was upset with her, had she just teased him at the bar. “You don’t have any reason to come over to my house”

She hung her head, keeping herself from crying but barely. “I knew you’d be mad..” She whispered, her voice quavering slightly. “It’s just that after tonight with your brother going ballistic and just everything plus I don’t want to risk getting pregnant”

Inuyasha sighed, pulling up to the curb in front of Kagome’s house. He shut the car off, unbuckling his seat belt to lean over gently wrapping his arms around her. “Kagome I love you, I’ve waited so long to be with you I can wait a little longer if that’s what you really want”

She had stiffened when he had hugged her, expecting to be yelled at for teasing him. “You really mean that” She looked up, sniffing a bit. Tears gently running down her cheeks.

He smiled, gently using his thumb to catch the tears and wipe them away. “Kagome I’ve always loved you, even back when” He hesitated. “Kikyo was around” He released her sitting back, gazing out the windshield. “I made the mistake of running off to her whenever I saw her soul stealers and each time I came back I knew you cried and it broke my heart bit by bit. I was a fool to ever hurt you like that and Im not going to force you to do something that you’re not ready for”

She was shocked that he was admitting his past actions about Kikyo, it made her realize at that point how much more she truly loved him. “Inuyasha what happened in the past is the past, I know Kikyo had you under a spell it wasn’t your fault. Even Kikyo admitted that before we finally set her free after the battle with Naraku”

“Yeah” Inuyasha muttered, arms folding over his chest. “It still wasn’t right, I tormented you called you wench and worthless only because I was afraid to really tell you how much I loved you.” He sighed, dragging one hand through his hair. “I didn’t want Naraku to use that against me. But every time I became a human you stood by my side unflinching. When villagers ran from me you made them realize I wasn’t going to hurt them.” He glanced over to her, giving a tender smile. “You even helped me over come my true demonic nature against the moon princess. Kagome…”

He bit his lip; reaching down under the seat feeling around before he found what he was searching for. “I need to ask you a question but can we go inside and do this?”

She was watching him, confused slightly by his actions before she nodded. “Okay im sure my mother will be over joyed to see you again.”

Smiling Inuyasha got out of the car, quickly going around to the other side to open the door for Kagome. He helped her out of the car, wrapping his arm around her waist. Tucking the object in his pocket as he walked her to the door.

Opening the door Kagome slipped inside, looking around. “Mom Im home. Inuyasha’s here”

“Im in the living room dear” Kagome’s mother called, she had been sitting in her recliner knitting. Setting the needles down she smiled when she saw Inuyasha walk in with her daughter. “Hello Inuyasha where’s your friends at?”

“Koga and Rin decided to head back to his place, but that’s okay because I needed to ask Kagome something and I want you to be present” He cleared his throat then, turning to Kagome. Kneeling to one knee, he took her hand and gazed at her. “Kagome I want you to know I love you more then my own existence would you this poor pathetic excuse of a hanyou the honor of becoming my wife?” He pulled the object from his pocket, opening the black velvet box to reveal a golden band set in the center was a sparkling diamond heart around it smaller ruby hearts.

She gasped, staring at the ring then to Inuyasha before she even looked at her mother. Slowly she took the ring from the box slipping it on her left hand. “Yes Inuyasha I will marry you” She then threw her arms around his neck, squeezing him as tears ran down her cheeks. “Oh and Inuyasha”

He laughed, returning that hug. Holding Kagome tightly as he saw her mother give him a pleased nod from where she sat. Beaming a huge smile towards the happy couple.

“Your not a pathetic excuse of nothing you are the best thing that’s ever happened to me” Kagome whispered against his ear. Pressing her face into his shoulder so he wouldn’t see the tears of happiness that ran down her cheeks like water from a broken dam.

Rasha sighed as he listened to the yoaki cop speak with his father about what had happened. No human cops had been involved. When it was a yoaki affair the yoaki police handled it, right now he just wished Jaken would hurry up and get to the remains of the destroyed club with the limo. He wanted to go home and take some aspirin for the migraine he knew he would have in the morning.

Sesshomaru was blank faced as he spoke with the cop, he didn’t mention why he had lost his control and shifted to his dog form. He didn’t think the Pig yoaki would understand, in a way Sesshomaru found it ironic the cop he was talking to was an actual pig demon. “Listen if you’re through asking me all these stupid questions” He saw the black stretch Limo pulling up. “My servant has just arrived with the limo and I have a busy day tomorrow”

Narrowing his squinty eyes the pig snorted. “Look Sesshomaru just because your some big shot running half the corporations in this shitty little city doesn’t mean your going to get away with destroying property injuring countless other’s and possibly even causing some death’s”

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes; this pig obviously had no idea who he was speaking to. “If you wish to keep your job I suggest you speak to your sergeant” He then turned. “Rasha lets go home the stench of this mud wallower is making my stomach turn”

“Now you wait just a second!” The cop sputtered, he never got to finish a dragon yoaki came over. Dropping one hand on the pig’s shoulder. “Quincy man you have no idea just how powerful Sesshomaru is. He already cleared everything with the sergeant. He even paid the owner a major sum of money to fix the damages and make a bigger club. Hell none of the other clubbers are even filling complaints you know the drill about yoaki clubs. Shit like this always happens”

Quincy narrowed his eyes, snorting before he shrugged the dragon’s hand off. Watching as Sesshomaru and his son climbed into the limo. “Im sick of seeing big shots get away with this shit Jackson. We work hard for our money and that bastard can just come along and tear our jobs out from under our feet”

Jackson shrugged, leaving Quincy to simmer in his own anger. Sure he knew the pig was right, but Sesshomaru wouldn’t take a man’s job unless the man or woman did something to cross the line. He’d have to mention something to the sergeant about Quincy’s attitude.

“Father you made complete fools of both of us back there” Rasha spoke softly, mixing himself a drink from the mini bar on his side of the limo. “If the reporters get wind of your anger problem they will run a personal smear campaign against you” He lifted his gray goose martini sipping it slowly. Golden eyes watching his silent father with an expression of concern and worry, he couldn’t believe Rin could actually be so shallow to disregard his father’s feelings for her and allow another man to paw all over her.

Sesshomaru gave his son a cold furious glare. “Rasha I know I made a mistake, what did you expect me to do. I love Rin and here I see her allowing that wolf prince to paw her like she is some cheap harlot” He gritted his teeth, slamming a closed fist on the car seat. “Why can’t she understand what I did with Satara was for the best”

Rasha shook his head, taking another slow sip of his martini. “Perhaps it’s because she’s loved you ever since she was a small child. You told me yourself she had a crush on you and it grew. The way you pushed her to the side” He shrugged. “I could almost say I do not blame Rin for moving on with her life”

Sesshomaru was silent, thinking now as he watched the scenery fly by. “Jaken drop me off at the office I need to go over some files”

Rasha arched a brow staring at his father. “You want to go back to work at three in the morning? Are you insane father?”

Glancing over to Rasha Sesshomaru gave a slow cold smile. “No but Im going to ruin that Wolves financial status, I know his father’s company has asked to merge with mine. I signed the merger papers earlier this day, well things have changed and I will not merge with the company I will take it over and strip that Wolf Prince of every last red cent”

Rasha just shook his head, sighing as he leaned back closing his eyes. His father was taking things way to far. He knew Sesshomaru still loved and cared for Rin deeply, but instead of trying to win her back he was going to ruin someone else’s life because the person was seeing Sesshomaru’s true love.

Koga was sitting on the couch next to Rin; after they had gotten dropped off they had just talked for hours on end. Koga knew he didn’t stand a chance in hell to ever be more then friends with the beautiful Inu-yoaki. She still cared and felt deeply for Sesshomaru but she wouldn’t let herself admit that. Now the couple was gorging on popcorn as they laughed watching B Rated slasher flicks.

Rin squealed and jumped as the masked killer broke through the bedroom door wielding a screaming chainsaw. She covered her face, peering through her fingers. “Rule one in a horror movie, don’t ever have prenatal sex because your surely going to get chopped to hell” On the TV the couple on the bed was writhing in anguish as the killer sawed through there bodies, the cheesy movie blood spraying the walls.

Koga laughed, eating another handful of popcorn. “Another rule about horror movies. The one that always gets me the most, when your being chased by a killer don’t run past the stairs to hide in the closet hell run down the stairs and out the front door”

Rin laughed and nodded, reaching over for the remote to pause the movie. Yawning as she did so. “Koga I had a great time tonight, and I appreciate you listening to me rant about everything but Im bushed”

Nodding, Koga rose taking the popcorn bowl out to the kitchen. “Well you can sleep in my room, I put fresh linen on the bed” He was being the gentlemen through and through, he had brought a pillow and blanket out in the living room for him to sleep on.

Throwing him a soft smile, Rin yawned again before slowly moving into the bedroom closing the door with a gentle click. Climbing into the plush bed, she pulled the blankets up over her shoulders. Snuggling into the pillow drifting to sleep in a matter of seconds.

In the living room Koga stretched out on the couch. Picking up the remote to turn the slasher flick back on, setting the sleep timer on the TV in case he passed out before the movie was over.

Dream Land:

“Where am I?” Rin was confused; she was in a beautiful ivory castle. Paintings hung on the walls, all of powerful yoaki. Slowly walking down the hall, she was moving towards a pair of double doors. She could hear music playing from behind them. It seemed to put her in a trance, as she pushed the door open her clothing changed with a shimmer of golden light.

Hands swept around her waist, pulling her into a grand ballroom. She was now wearing a beautiful pale blue gown; it sparkled with the diamonds that were weaved through out the fabric. Her hair had been pilled on top of her head loose spiral curls.

Each time she looked up trying to see who was twirling her around, she only saw a flash of gold. Her mysterious dancer’s face was hidden behind an elaborate dog mask. She was getting dizzy as she was being spun, when she was suddenly captured and swept off her feet she gasped. “Who are you?” She reached up, grasping the mask pulling it away. Her eyes widened as she gasped seeing her mysterious dance partner. “Sesshomaru!”

Growling Sesshomaru had found himself in a strange castle, wearing a fine tailored suit. On a long table an assortment of masks were placed. A whispering voice instructed him to take one and wear it. He had done as the voice instructed. His mask had been a finely crafted dog’s mask, it fit perfectly and when it had fallen into place music had started. The doors to the ballroom had opened and he saw Rin sweep in wearing the most gorgeous of gowns. He had quickly swept her up, whirling her around the dance floor.

His eyes only meeting her’s for brief seconds before he’d twist her away. He didn’t want her to know whom she was dancing with. As the music was coming to an end, he went for a grand finish of sweeping her down low. He heard Rin’s question, he hadn’t expected her to pull the mask from his face. “Hello Rin” He growled softly.

Sesshomaru had gone to his office; he had started to go over the paperwork. Hell bent to find the documents for Koga’s father’s company; he had never gotten the chance. He had started to feel strangely sleepy, before he could even figure out why he had fallen asleep with his head resting on the desk. Little did he know else where Rin had just drifted off to sleep as well.

When both of them had fallen asleep, their dreams had been slightly tampered with and even alerted. Watching from a glowing crystal ball a woman smiled. “Perfect, let them sleep and may there love be rekindled in the dreams they share” A handful of sand was sprinkled lightly across the top of the crystal ball, making it swirl in a kaldiscope of colors.

The strange woman was the keeper of the dreams, sometimes she would enter people’s dreams and change them to make things right. This had been one of those times she enjoyed tampering, it had hurt her to see Rin crying many years ago unable to sleep. She had used some of her magic to allow the girl to drift to sleep, from that point she had kept a watchful eye on her. Naturally she had some help, the strange Snake yoaki that assisted Sesshomaru with Satara, he had kept her informed of the couple’s torrid relationship.

“I can only do so much” She sighed, sitting in her chair. Watching the crystal ball quietly. “They have to do the rest…” She trailed off. “I just hope it is enough”


Okay you guys I added some more twists and turns to this..I added some more suprises with Kagome and Inuyasha too! Hehe…..so I hope you enjoyed this chapter it’s strange!
