Sesshoumaru paced in the waiting room. InuYasha sat in a chair seeming to be oblivious to everything around him. He looked up at the older demon and shook his head.
"Please, just sit down or calm down. This stress isn't going to do you any good, it's not healthy." He got up and stopped his brother. "She's okay, they were able to give her the antidote. I'm glad you brought her water with you."
Sesshoumaru stopped pacing and looked at InuYasha. He took the younger man in his arms and held him. There was a pain between them that was more than physical.
"I smelled the poison, she'd told me she'd been home, but I knew she hadn't. She's aching for love. I think she wants us to be there, but.. I don't know why. I'm not sure if she wants you back.. or what." Sesshoumaru sighed. "I want to help her, I want her comfortable."
Sesshoumaru couldn't tell InuYasha he knew that Hojo had raped Kagome. It wasn't just once either, he knew she'd been abused. Inu gave in to the warm hug. Right now, all he wanted was to forget everything bad and focus on the future. It was about that time when pain ripped through his abdomen. He stiffened, but made no outward show.
Sesshoumaru felt the change in his brother's body immediately. He gently led him over to a chair and helped him sit down. The pain was easing, but it still left InuYasha breathless. He felt pale, shaky.
"I think there's something wrong," he whispered. "I can't feel the baby."
