A Night Alone

Rin got ready for bed, Hiei was out in the living room talking to Yusuke. Giving her the time to get ready. She'd taken a quick shower and put on a long shirt and sweats. Deciding it would be uncomfortable to sleep in the sweats; she took them off and folded them neatly and placed them beside the bed. She quickly climbed under the covers not knowing when Hiei would return. Rain was starting to fall outside, beating on the roof. It was cold enough outside, if the temperature dropped anymore they could see some snow. Closing her eyes she listened to the pitter patter of the drops, letting it lure her to sleep.

**Somewhere else**

Akita threw the vase causing it to shatter against the stone wall. "Damn it, he failed me. That little bitch still lives. What am I to do now?" Kado would never change his mind and everyone else was faithful to him. She'd worked too hard to earn her place at his side. She would never step aside for some pathetic human girl. Kado would obtain the jewel he craved but she would see to it that the girl died. Ayame had stolen Lord Sesshoumaru from her, so she'd been stuck tricking Kouga into claiming her. That pathetic excuse for a wolf wouldn't know how to please a woman if she were to bite him in the ass. That girl had caused all her problems. She'd kept throwing Ayame in Sesshoumaru's face, he finally agreed to take a lesser woman just to please the child. Even now Rin was getting in her way. She wasn't sure how she'd done it but Kado had demanded that they bring Lord Sesshoumaru's ward here. The lust had been easy to spot, he stunk of it while thinking of the girl.

She made her way down the hall leaving the mess she'd made behind. The estate wasn't the greatest but it would do for now. She opened the double doors entering her lover's chambers. He glanced up as she came in.

"What do you want?"

"Is that anyway to greet me, love?" She wrapped her arms around his back.

"Leave me. I must rest tonight."

"Why?" She demanded.

"I leave tomorrow to get what I want. I just found out where she is hiding. She is there with the guardian of the jewel." Kado pushed the woman off him. Two hours ago he'd caught two spies that had the nerve to enter his estate. The bat and fox were now chained below, waiting for his order to die. The fox had given him the most trouble; for that his death would be painful. For now he was content in knowing where the girl was. Of course neither would tell him what he wanted to know. He didn't need them to, one touch and he learned all he needed.

He'd waited over two years to get access to the girl. He should have taken her that day, the day she'd chanced upon him. He was one of the chosen; surviving over the ages to dwell among normal youkai. He'd been bathing that day, he should have been safe from prying eyes. No human or youkai should have been able to hear or see him, yet she did. She'd came running from the bushes her face lit up in wonder. Until she spotted him, a blush lit her face and she automatically lowered her head.

"Umm, excuse me."

"What is your name?" He saw that she was human, what was a human doing in the Makai?

"Rin, I'm sorry I'll leave you to your bath."

An imp came bursting out the greenery, "Dammit Rin, who are you talking to? I swear you get denser every year. Lord Sesshoumaru should have gotten rid of you years ago."

"I was speaking to the man Master Jaken. I interrupted his bath." Rin pointed towards the water.

"What are you babbling about? There is no one there. Come on lets head back." The imp turned leaving the girl there.

She turned to him and smiled. "Goodbye." She ran after the imp, leaving him there.

Nights after he found he couldn't get the strange human girl out his mind. He took to watching her as she walked every morning but never approached. He even formed a relationship with Kouga's mate, to find what information he could about the girl. Akita had given him plenty of information without knowing it. Her constant nagging in bed, mostly about the girl named Rin. It became clear he wouldn't be able to fetch her yet. Lord Sesshoumaru kept a close guard on his ward. He needed the jewel, then he would destroy Lord Sesshoumaru and take what he wanted.

He'd been elated to find that the girl was no longer with him but in the human world. He would go for the jewel and her. He stood up knocking the hands that were trying to pull him back into bed. "Leave." The bitch was getting tiresome.

Rin woke up when a loud clap of thunder echoed through the room. She sat up in bed and looked around. There wasn't much light, only that coming in the window from the moon. She could make out Hiei's outline on the other bed. He was laying on his back, arms behind his head, knees bent. He seemed to be sleeping, so she took the time to study him.

He had on a pair of black sweats and nothing else. She blushed when her eyes found his chest. His head turned suddenly and he was looking right at her. She averted her eyes, "Sorry."

"Hn."

She took a deep breath and layed back down. She closed her eyes trying to go back to sleep. She heard movement from the other side of the room. Her eyes snapped open when she felt the edge of her bed go down. "Hiei?" He was climbing in bed with her! He pulled the cover off her and layed down beside her her.

He was on his side looking at her, it began to worry her. She turned on her side to face him. His hand came up to rest on her waist, her eyes widened when he leaned over. His mouth found hers, landing softly. He felt her relax and return the kiss. His tongue sought entrance as he rolled her over once more to her back.

Rin felt her heart stop at the sensations cursing through veins. Her hands came up to rest on his shoulders as his mouth explored hers. Her breath quickened as he pulled her shirt up exposing her up to the waist. His hand landed on her thigh, caressing her. His fingers slid over the creamy skin until they found the edge of her panties.

Fear filled her as the finger slid inside brushing against her folds. He sensed her fear, "Do you trust me?" She shook her head yes. He brought his mouth down to glide along her neck, placing small kisses along her collar bone. In one swift move he had the shirt pulled over her head. His mouth came back down to land on her left breast, she moaned as the fire once again blazed in her lower regions. His tongue found her nipple bringing it in his mouth, sucking. It hardened as he flicked a tongue across. He replaced his hand once more on her thigh, this time carefully spreading her legs apart. She cried out when he suddenly cupped her.

He could smell her desire, it filled the room. Slowly consuming his senses, he decided the panties had to come off. Using just the one hand he tore the fabric, tossing them to the floor. Rin felt a quick tearing pain, then it stopped. All that was left was the feeling of him filling her. He was placing kisses down her throat as he pulled out.
