Eyes of a Hanyou

Chapter 9

Inuyasha stayed up the whole night making sure Kagome was safe. There were no more bad dreams. The next day would bring up more questions on how and why Kouga attacked Kagome in her dreams.

The sun was rising from the East, birds began there day singing, it was going to be a hot day the mist was already rising off the lake. Kagome was the first to stir; she was beginning to get out of her sleeping bag when, she realized that her clothes were nowhere to be found and that she was stark naked she gasped and looked around the camp Miroku and Sango where both sleeping under the tree. Shippo and Kilala snuggled up with each other. She then looked for Inuyasha; he was nowhere too be found. “This is my chance to get up and get my clothes before they can see me.” She thought. The minute she started unzipping the bag, she felt herself being lifted off the ground and carried to the nearest tree.

“Furthermore where do you thing your going?” Inuyasha said while looking down at Kagome.

“For your information I was going to get my clothes!” She scolded back at him.

With a cocky smile, he held her closer to him, “I am not letting you out of my sight?”

“Well that’s fine, but please let me get dressed.” She said while blushing. He gave her a stern look then jumped out of the tree and laid her back on the ground, then handed her his robe, which sat drying the night before.

“Inuyasha? Where I am supposed to get dressed if you’re standing in front of me?” A growl was the only response she got, when he hoisted her up into his arms and brought over to a large patch of brush surrounded with trees.

“Now turn around.” She pleaded. He did just that and gave her the privacy she finally needed. When she unzipped the sleeping back and took, a long needed stretch, she looked over her body that was now covered in some dry paste. She gasped at the sight of her body recalling the events of the night before. “Oh god I need a bath.” She whispered, then immediately walked over to the lake.

Inuyasha’s ears twitched at the sound of her walking away, he could smell her close, but turned around nonetheless to see where she went too. He followed her and sat behind a rock that would help cover his arrival. She started walking into the frigid water, washing away the paste that covered her wounds. Inuyasha could not help but watch. He was fascinated with her. The soft white skin glimmered from the golden rays of the sun that were reflecting off the lake. He felt himself getting aroused when she started cupping water in the palms of her hands and then letting the water cascade off her firm breasts. She cringed as the coldness of the water running over her scarred and battered body. She also was aware that he was there watching her, but did not seem to mind. “Inuyasha I know your there.” She said calmly as she continued bathing. He did not say anything as his cheeks felt like they were on fire with embarrassment. Before he could say anything, “Inuyasha will you come help me wash my back.” She turned her head around and looked at him with a soft seductive voice.

Miroku woke up to see Kagome and Inuyasha gone, he gave a grin because he knew that she was with him and safe. He looked down at the goddess before him and his hand started moving down her back, feeling every muscle that Sango had about her. He could not help but keep going further down from her back until he reached her rear, then started stroking it. “Oh God I am definitely in heaven.” He thought with a big grin on his face.

SMACK! “What the hell are you doing you Lecher!” Sango shouted waking the rest of the group up.

“But my love I was just trying to keep you warm.” He said while rubbing his face innocently.

“That’s not what it felt to me, I would mind it if you keep your hands off me next time, that’s if you want to keep them.” She said while giving him an evil glare. She slowly sat up off his lap and started stretching her arms up and yawning. “ So tell me monk, what’s going on with Kagome?” Before he could respond, Kilala transformed and was in a defensive position facing the forest growling.

Inuyasha could not think he just started undressing and walked into the lake behind Kagome. He started caressing her hair away from her marked shoulder, he sniffed the mark and was relieved that some of the infection had gone away from the paste that Miroku made. This pleased him. He started to kiss her neck while raking his claws up and down her curvy body; she started to breath heavy and relaxed under the touch that was making her body sizzles with a fire she has never felt before. He slowly moved her unmarked shoulder and raised her arm up over her head, and then he began to rake his claws tenderly down her arm causing Kagome to make a slight moan. Inuyasha was in heaven her sent drove him over the edge, then without any warning Miroku yelled his name casting him out of his trance.

“Show yourself?” Miroku said holding his staff over his wind tunnel preparing to open it if need be.

Then out of nowhere a pack of wolves came into view with a very angry Ginta and Hakaku. “We are here for the Inuyasha!” Ginta snarled clenching his fists.

Miroku could see the sadness, pain and revenge in the wolf demon eyes. “What happened to Kouga was his own doing.” The monk said with a stern voice.

“He raped Kagome!” Sango screamed while raising her Hiraikostu over her shoulder in a threatening manor. She was pissed, her face was burning red and wanted to kill these wolfs, she started walking forward when a hand grabbed her shoulder to stop her instant rage.

The monk seaming to be the calm and rational one always had his reasons for not letting the female warrior fight. “This is not our fight, as much as I would love to see you in action, I cannot allow it.” Miroku said still keeping his hand on her shoulder. She was frustrated at his actions but nodded her head in agreement.

“We don’t have time for this, where is Inuyasha?” Ginta said.

“Inuyasha!” screamed the monk.


Inuyasha sniffed the air wondering why Miroku called his name. A loud growl came from his chest and Kagome turned around facing a naked Inuyasha, she blushed when she saw his bare chest. “What’s wrong?” Kagome said while still in awe at his muscular chest.

Inuyasha chuckled when he saw where her eyes were staring. “Later my love.” He growled in her ear while making her blush even more. “Right now we have company.” He said while scooping her out of the water bridal style and walking up to the beach where their clothes were. He set her down and started putting his red pants on while she put on his red robe. When they were both dressed they walked toward the campsite hand in hand.


The wolf demons started growling loudly when they saw Inuyasha and Kagome coming out of the dense bushes hand in hand. “ Get your filthy hands off Kouga’s mate!” Hakaku said.

Inuyasha ignoring the nasty comment and walked up to Miroku and Sango. “Protect her.” was all he said before grabbing Tetsusaiga and facing their unwanted guests. “What are you here to die also?” Inuyasha growled.

The two demons new it was useless to fight the enraged Hanyou, for they both new he was strong and did kill their leader.

“No we did not come here to fight with you. We have come here to bring our sister back to her rightful home.” Ginta said glaring evilly at Inuyasha.

“What makes you think that Kagome wants to go back with you after what happened?” Inuyasha angrily said.

Just then, Kagome appeared by Inuyasha’s side and now armed with her bow and arrows. “I will not go with you back to your den.” Kagome said while pointing her finger at the two wolf demons.

“Sister you are Kouga’s mate, and you should have died with him so you could be together in the afterlife.” Ginta said.

Kagome was horrified; she could feel her heart beating faster than normal. Inuyasha could also sense her stress, started growling, and tighten his fists ready to fight. “I am glad Inuyasha killed Kouga, and my answer is still no.” Kagome said angrily, while stringing her bow ready to shoot anyone who would try to take her away.

The two wolf demons looked each other in with defeating eyes. “Sorry sister, we just thought that it was appropriate for you so we can burry you next to Kouga.” Hakaku said.

“What she’s not going anywhere with you and she’s not going to die!” Inuyasha retorted, barring his fangs.

Kagome was beyond pissed and her arrow began to glow a bright pink. “Ginta, Hakaku listen up because I am only going to say this once, I rejected Kouga’s claim on me, and I am going to be Inuyasha’s mate. He is the only one I am leaving with; do I make myself clear?” Kagome said shakily holding her bow and arrow careful not to let it go. Inuyasha had a cocky grin on his face and was full of pride when he heard his soon to be mate.

“Very well then Kagome we will leave.” Ginta said while telling the other wolfs to go while disappearing into the dense forest.


Kagome did not let her bow down until she was sure that they did not have other ideas of sneaking back to take her away.

Inuyasha saw this and said. “ Kagome they are gone now you can put your weapon down.” The pink light around her arrow was dissipating and she slowly lowered her bow. Inuyasha reached over to her and pulled her into his arms giving an embracing hug.

“Are you ok?” Sango asked trying to comfort her friend.

“Yes Sango I am ok, thank you.” Kagome said looking over to Sango not wanting to leave Inuyasha’s arms.

“We should start heading for Kaede’s village now.” Miroku said. Inuyasha nodded in agreement.


When they finished packing up camp. Kagome jumped on Inuyasha’s back, while Kilala carried the rest of the group. The group made good time and arrived late in the afternoon. The trip was silent; with hope, Kaede knew more answers on why Kouga can hurt her in dreams.

Shippo jumped off Kilala and ran in the hut to fetch the old miko. “ What is the matter?” Kaede asked. Before Shippo could say anything else, the rest of the group made it into the hut, Inuyasha carrying Kagome. Kaede could see the injuries on the young girls face and she gasped. “Place her on my bed, Inuyasha.” Kaede said with concern. Inuyasha did what she asked and sat next to Kagome, while the others sat on the floor. “Tell me what happened.” Kaede said. After Kagome finished telling Kaede what happened, the old women had a very sad expression on her face. Nevertheless, to the group’s dismay Kaede had no answers as to why Kouga could attack in her dreams. She did agree with Sesshoumaru that Kagome has to mate again or she would die. “And maybe it would stop her nightmares too.” Kaede said with hopeful eyes.
