Chapter Ten: Stealing

Disclaimer: I dont own Inuyasha. (I hate writing this. Isn't it annoying?)

Hello Again. Im bored. So Ill type this chapter. REVIEW REVIEW or i wont update the chapters.

"Sesshoumaru. where exactly is Inutaisho's corpse?"Kyoko asked as she traveled down a familiar looking path.
Sesshoumaru sighed.
"The portal to father's tomb," Sesshoumaru explained, "is in Inuyasha's eye."
Kyoko ga.
\.
"Why--"
"I do not know why he put it there. Do not ask."
She nodded.
"How are we going to get it?" she asked.
"Surprise, and if we have to, by fighting."
"Oh."
Most of the rest of the trip was silent.

Kagome...

"Inuyasha!" Kagome called, looking for the hanyou, who had been acting strange lately.
"Over here!"
She looked in the direction of his voice. He was over in a tree nearby.
She went over to the tree, and he jumped down.
"What is it?" he asked.
She held up Kyoko's jewel shard. It was glowing brighter, and Kagome could feel the energy pulsing out of it.
"What does it mean, Inuyasha?" she asked him.
"She nearer than she was, or is feeling a very strong emotion. I think it is probably the first one, though."
"I wonder why she is nearer."

Kyoko...

"We are very near the village. I remember this path." Kyoko said.
Sesshoumaru nodded.
"What do we do to get the shard? Inuyasha has good ears."
"AS long as you are very quiet, and dont make a sound, he wont wake up."
Kyoko nodded.
They soon reached the village, and then Kaede's hut.
Sesshoumaru and Kyoko both climbed to the top of the hut. Kyoko bent back a piece of the roof and slipped inside, holding on by her ankles.
She reached slightly down towards where Kagome was holding the shard.
"Mother! Be careful!" Sesshoumaru whispered as Kyoko hung by her feet from the middle of the hut's ceiling.
"I am being careful." she whispered back.
She reached down.
"Almost there...shit!" she said as her ankles slipped and she fell. "Uh oh."
Sesshoumaru had hold of her left ankle, the only thing keeping her from falling right on top of Kagome.
She put one finger on each end of the shard and slowly pulled it upward.
She almost had it, but her ankles were thin, and Sesshoumaru did not want to hurt her, so his grip was not strong, and her ankle slipped right from his hand.
She landed right on top of Kagome.
"What the---" Kagome said as she opened her eyes. Then she saw Kyoko. "What are you doing here? Inuyasha!"
Kyoko jumped out of the hut through the ceiling. Inuyasha was up in a second, as was everyone else.
"What Kagome?"
"Kyoko. She's here." Kagome said, slightly afraid.
"Damn, so is Sesshoumaru." He ran out of the hut.
Everyone followed him.
Once outside, Inuyasha yelled, "Come out Sesshoumaru, I know you're here!"
Sesshoumaru walked out of the trees, followed by Kyoko.
It was then that Kagome noticed the strong pulse of glowing deep purple light coming from Kyoko'nd. nd.
"Inuyasha, she has the shard. Its in her hand." Kagome said.
"I know. I may not be able to sense the shard, but I think anyone can see that light."
Kagome nodded.
"Why are you here, Sesshoumaru?!" Inuyasha asked.
"I am here at my mother's request, nothing more. She can tell you why we are here." Sesshoumaru calmly answered.
Kyoko stepped forward.
"I wish to revive Inutaisho. To do that, I need the shard, and the portal."
Everyone just silently listened to her. No one dared interupt her, as she was the strongest thing in the area at the moment.
"Inuyasha, you can either let me do this, or I can fight you. Either way, I will get what I want."
Inuyasha thought. He knew he would lose if he fought her, but he couldn't just let her revive Inutaisho. That could be a disaster.
"I cant just let you revive him Kyoko. That is dangerous. What if it didnt work?"
"I don't care, Inuyasha! Let me go to his corpse or I will kill you!" Kyoko yelled.
"Kyoko, I can't let you."
"Fine, Inuyasha. You can die." Kyoko said, walking to Sesshoumaru and handing him the shard.
She turned back to Inuyasha.
"Get back, you guys, she is very dangerous!" Inuyasha said to everyone behind him.
They ran back far enough away from immediate danger.
Inuyasha was nervous. He knew his chances of beating her were slim to nothing.
Kyoko charged foward towards Inuyasha. He held up the Tetsusaiga to block her, but she grabbed it, spun around, and kicked him in the stomach, causing him to be thrown nearly twenty feet away.
She charged again. He didnt want to kill her, but he didn't want to be killed.
So he used the wind scar.
Had she known it was coming, she could have easily blocked it, or just prepared for it. But she didn't know what the wind scar was, and couldn't prepare for it. And she was knocked back nearly forty or fifty feet, her side had a deep gash in it, bleeding alot.
"Mother!" Sesshoumaru ran to Kyoko. Her eyes were blood red, blankly staring. She was clearly unconcious.
Sesshoumaru picked her up and sped off, extremely angry at Inuyasha, but worried about his mother.
"You will pay for that, Inuyasha. No one hurts my mother and gets away with it alive."

Kagome...

"Inuyasha, what have you done?!" Kagome asked shocked that Inuyasha could do that, as she watched Sesshoumaru speed off with Kyoko.
"I---if I hadnt done it, she would have killed me. And I couldn't let her revive my father." Inuyasha said, also slightly shocked.
"But she could die now! She has gone through so much pain, you could have let her revive Inutaisho! What would it have hurt?!" Kagome yelled.
"You don't understand Kagome, she could die if she tried to do that!" Inuyasha yelled back.
Kagome's eyes widened. "huh?"
"That shard was in her heart. Her past has affected her, her emotions are strong. That affected the shard, and if she uses that shard to bring back the life of someone else, it will take her life."
"Oh." Kagome said."So what do we do? You cant fight her forever, Sesshoumaru will revive her if she dies. And I will not be happy if you disinigrate her!" Kagome added before Inuyasha thought of that idea.
"I don't know."
