Hearing Jakotsu describe what attracted him to other men, including himself, Bankotsu wasn't really sure how to reply to such a thing. Though he had heard of others before, he himself had never been in the same room with one like Jakotsu; at least not to his knowledge. While he watched him share far more about his past then Bankotsu had ever shared of his own with anyone, he wondered if he was not supposed to be disgusted by the idea, but honestly he couldn't care less.

He had never understood the attraction to either gender as both seemed to be nothing more than a waste of time, but he found himself having to admit that women required far more attention than men did, at least when it came to being friends and he could only assume the same could be said for a less platonic relationship. Perhaps Jakotsu had the right idea, if one desired companionship of that kind, that sticking to men would be less stressful.

As Jakotsu continued his story, Bankotsu realized he wasn't expected to answer anyways and turned his full attention back to him. “One day, this boy thought I was looking at him. He was not my type so there was no way I was. He looked nothing like you,” Jakotsu explained with a flirty smirk, his meaning evident. Bankotsu was his type. “Apparently his assumptions upset him as he came after me with a knife one night while I was sleeping.

“At some point during the struggle, he was killed with his own weapon, but I was blamed for it. They knew it wasn't my fault, but it was the excuse they had been waiting for. I was cast out of the home years before I was supposed to be with nothing but a single meal and the clothes on my back. I wandered around for a little while without a prayer in the world while I tried to figure out what to do and ended up stopping in this town.

“The plan was to try and save up some money for my trip to who knows where, but I never left.” Jakotsu paused for a moment to sigh before turning his attention to the closed door leading back out into the hallway. “I need to let Katherine know what to do,” he explained before heading out of the room without waiting for Bankotsu to respond.
