Later that night after Sesshomaru and Anaminé had eaten dinner and Anaminé had gone into her room to finish up what work she had. Sesshomaru looked at the clock in the living room it read 12:43 am. Sesshomaru got up and turned the TV off and headed down the hallway as he walked down it her saw light coming threw the bottom of Anaminé’s door. Sesshomaru slowly opened it and looked in. Anaminé was at her desk asleep, he walked over and picked her up from her desk and carried her to her bed and gently laid her down covering her up and laying her rabbit next to her and kissed her forehead and walked over to her desk. She had been finishing up a paper for her English class. He straightened up her papers and closed her books and stacked them together. He then picked up her crutches and laid them down next to her bed and walked out of the room turning her light off and going to his room.

The next day Anaminé was struggling to get threw the hall with all the kids. She finally made it to the large tree that her and her friends always ate lunch at. Everyone had already arrived; she smiled as she sat down.

“Sorry guys it’s not easy with these stupid things to get around.” Anaminé said opening her lunch

“If you where having trouble you should have told one of us, one of us could have helped you get threw the halls.” Kouga said

“It’s okay really I’m fine.” Anaminé smiled and they all began to eat and talk.

“So Anaminé did the doctor say when you will be able to start to train again?” Bankotsu asked

“He said he didn’t know and to ask my physical therapist, which I have my first appointment tomorrow.” Anaminé said

“But I plan on still coming to the competition to at lest support you guys and true captain never abandons her squad.” Anaminé said

“Let’s not forget dear Anaminé you are co captain” Bankotsu said with a cheesy grin

“Yes but we are both equal in our skills and I am a captain none the less” Anaminé said

“So I was thinking we could go down to Shirahama for a week after the week of the gathering. I remember going down there with my family as a little girl we had so much fun” Kagome said

“That will be fine I will probably still have my knee brace but I won’t have my crutches” Anaminé said

“Sounds like a go, we have the hot springs and the beach and not to mention fireworks every night” Hiten said
Everyone nodded their head in agreement.
Anaminé finished up her food and got up. “Well I’m going to head back in I need to ask Sesshomaru something befor my next class. Ill see you in English Hiten.” Anaminé said and then headed back into the school.
“She is awfully cheerful after what happened a few days ago, what do you think happened.” Sango said
“Maybe she is just happy about the trip so she isn’t letting things get her down.” Hojo said
Anaminé made her way to Sesshomaru’s class room and knocked on the door.
“Come in Anaminé” Sesshomaru called out.
Anaminé opened the door and walked in and shut the door behind her.
“Sesshomaru…” Anaminé said going to a desk in front of his and leaning against it.
“Yes Anaminé what is it?” Sesshomaru asked looking up from his desk.
“I wanted to ask you if we could go to Shirahama the week after the gathering, me and the others thought it would be nice to have a nice little vacation at the beach, and well it seems really fun and I know you wouldn’t allow me to go on my own with them so I thought maybe I can talk them into being ok with you coming” Anaminé said
Sesshomaru raised a eyebrow “I can think about it but are you sure your going to be feeling up to going.”
“Well I wont have my crutches ill still have me knee brace and I’m sure that I could take it off for a short time if I wanted to go into the water, and walking on the sand should help me strengthen the muscles in my legs, plus there will be hot springs so if my knee gets to hurting me I can always relax in the hot spring and that should ease the pain and stuff.” Anaminé said
“Okay I will consider it” Sesshomaru said
“Okay thank you Sesshomaru, well I should head for my next class I will see you after school.” Anaminé said and began for the door.

“Oh Anaminé befor I forgot my father called and he has invited us to dinner, there are a few things he wishes to go over with me” Sesshomaru said
Anaminé turned her head and looked at him and gave him a small smile “okay”
Anaminé sat in her English class next to Hiten they passed notes back and forth to each other talking about the trip. Anaminé explained how Sesshomaru was keeping her close due to everything going on and that if she goes then Sesshomaru would have to come but she would keep him in cheek. Anaminé smiled inside because little did they know but the others didn’t know about her and Sesshomaru yet and she didn’t want to bring it up anytime soon due to the fact the Inu Yasha would probably blow up. It wasn’t long befor the bell rang. Befor she knew it school was over She pushed her way threw the crowd of students and got what she needed from her locker and left what she didn’t. There wasn’t any practice today so she made her way out to Sesshomaru’s car. He had already arrived there and was starting it up. They left the school and headed to Sesshomaru’s fathers house.
Anaminé got out of Sesshomaru’s car and looked around “hm Inu Yasha isn’t home wonder if he went to Kagome’s.”
“Probably come on.” Sesshomaru waiting for her in front of his car as she came up beside him the walked up to the door and Sesshomaru opened the door for him.
“You know it will be really nice if we go to Shirahama especially at night being able to relax in a hot…” began to say as they walked but was cut off by a gruff voice
“Your going to Shirahama little Sano” the gruff voice spoke.
Anaminé’s body froze as she looked in front of her and saw the Lord of the east. He was a muscular man with long sleek brown hair and emerald green eyes. He was a dragon demon and a great and loyal friend to Inu Tiasho that was why Inu Tiasho was able to live in the east and since her father never strayed far from his lord the lord aloud her family to live here as well. Ever since she was a small girl the lord had taken to calling her Little Sano rather than being formal.
“Lord Tanashi…I….I….” she bowed the best she could with her crutches “I didn’t know you where going to be here. Please forgive me Lord Tanashi if I had known I would have kept my voice lower to that of a lady” Anaminé said looking down

Lord Tanashi, Inu Taisho, and Sesshomaru chuckled, thought away from a formal setting Anaminé could be as much as a boy as any of her guy friends she often got scolded when she was younger by her mother at gatherings because she would just as quickly wrestle in the mud as the boys. She ruined many kimonos when she was younger. But as she got older she showed the utmost respect for those demons of higher rank than she was.
“Little Sano how long have you lived in my land?” Lord Tanashi asked
“17 years Lord Tanashi” Anaminé replied softly slightly looking up.
“Your whole life and how many of those 17 years have you personally known me” Lord Tanashi
“17 Lord Tanashi ever since I was a baby you use to sneak me candy at the gatherings when I was younger, you said it was because I was the only girl and candy made little girls sweet, and kind” Anaminé said softly
Lord Tanashi chuckled “good you still remember then so I would hope you would not be so formal with me in a casual setting you are the daughter of two dear friends of mine so please Little Sano don’t be so uptight around me okay”
“Yes Lord Tanashi” Anaminé said looking up and giving a small smile.
“Anaminé Rin is out side I’m sure she would love for you to join her in the garden” Inu Tiasho smiled softly.
Anaminé nodded and began for the back then Lord Tanashi called to her.
“Anaminé I’m very sorry for the incident that occurred at your performance.” Lord Tanashi said with a sad sincere look in his eyes.
“How..” Anaminé began but was cut off by him putting up his hand
“I know everything that happens in my land Little Sano” Lord Tanashi said
Anaminé nodded and went out back with Rin.

Sesshomaru took a seat in a chair and looked at his father “So what is it you wish to speak with me about.”
“Tanashi knows the guy who attacked Anaminé” Inu Taisho said
Sesshomaru looked over to Tanashi.
“I don’t know him personally but I know who he is, he was banned from this land a while back after I got nemours reports that he had raped several women and after I got a call from Takeshi saying that he was now dating his daughter I didn’t want to take the chance of him harming Anaminé so I ordered his banishment. I had him tracked for a while he was staying in the south but he just seemed to be living there that was it he didn’t seem to doing any harm so I had the tracking stop.” Tanashi said
Sesshomaru thought for a second “isn’t this enough proof to break the treaty or at lest get Takashi I mean we cant leave him out there.”
Inu Taisho shook his head “it’s enough proof to get Takashi but right know we know he is working with the south so we need to use him to relay information on them if our plan is to work.”
“What’s this about going to Shirahama?” Tanashi asked
“Anaminé’s friends have been planning a small trip to the beach and one of them brought up the idea of spending a week in Shirahama.” Sesshomaru said with a sigh as rubbed his forehead
“Do you think it wise to let her go to Shirahama it is in the southern lands” Tanashi asked
“She is going to tell them that if she goes I will have to come as well” Sesshomaru stated cooly
“So this could actually work out I’m sure they have informants threw out the south and if one sees Sesshomaru and Anaminé the Lord will find out and will defiantly try something.” Inu Taisho said
Sesshomaru clutched his fist “you talk as if you want her to get attacked again father, if she where to get attacked again it would completely shatter her. You do not see her everyday you do not have to fall asleep to the scent of her tears every god forsaken night. She lost her parents and then what she thinks was her only dignified trait, she is in a fragile state and you want to throw her out there like a piece of meat to a pack of hungry wolves.” Sesshomaru growled
Inu Tiasho sighed “Sesshomaru if there was any other way I would take it but there is none, so you will just have to be there to catch her when ever she stumbles and help her stand again”
After another hour of talking Rin came running in with a crown made of flowers.
“Papa lookie what Anaminé helped me make for you” Rin said holding up the crown of yellows silky soft jewels from the earth.
“It’s beautiful darling!” Inu Taisho said with a smile picking his daughter up putting her on his knee as she placed the crown on his head.
Sesshomaru stood up and walked out back he stood on the porch and looked at Anaminé sitting in a circular patch of grass in the middle of the garden. Her back was to him and she had let her hair down and it was gentling blowing to the side as the graceful breeze blew. She was looking up into the sky. Sesshomaru stealthy made his way to Anaminé and stood behind her. In her lap he could see a crown like the one that Rin had made but hers was more decorative and complex with different flowers weaved in different ways.
“Anaminé…” Sesshomaru whispered.
Anaminé turned her head around looking up at him and gave him a soft smile. Sesshomaru held out his hand to help her up. In her left hand she held the crown she made. Sesshomaru gently took it from her a placed it on her head.
“Your skills have improved since you where a small girl.” Sesshomaru spoke softly.
“Well when all the other girls in the pack are a great deal younger than you and the male demons that you played with when you where little now find you repulsive, you spend a great deal of time making them at gatherings” Anaminé smiled softly
Sesshomaru placed a hand on her cheek and brought his lips to her capturing her upper lip between his.

Up on the porch Tanashi and Inu Taisho watched the couple.
“The future of your pack and the western lands lies in the hands of a very imperious young man, but if the gods should allow the two of them to be together then your land and pack will be also in the hands of a very compassionate young woman.” Tanashi said gazing at the two.
“It’s like I’ve always said Behind a great rule is a strong and compassionate woman” Inu Taisho said with a smile and looked to his friend
“Lets leave them alone” Inu Tiasho said his friend nodded in agreement and the turned and walked back into the house.
