Another Wedding

thehotty: So yeah, I feel like taking this story off of AFF.net. The readers are extremely rude and I only have 4, you hear me? I sad FOUR reviews out of 341 hits. How sad is that?

Kagome: What would your youngest sister say about that?

Sesshoumaur: She would say they are being rude.

thehotty: And she's only six. Think of it people, if there was a twenty year old that read a story and they had a six year old daughter that could use the word rude the right way and know what it means, and the older one didn't review. When the younger one told the older one it was rude not to, you know the older one has a major issue, don't you?

Inu Yasha: According your sister I'm rude!

Miroku: That's because you are.

thehotty: She wants to steal Sesshoumaru and hide him in her closet.

Kagome: I wonder where she learned to do that kind of thing.

thehotty: *All innocent looking* I don't know.

Sango: At least she's not as bad as the older one.

thehotty: Brittney? No. None of my sisters are as bad as her.

Shippo: Who cares about your sisters, on with the story!

Kagome woke to find two arms wrapped around her waist and a face cuddled close to her neck. A small smile lifted the corners of her lips. It felt good to wake up to someone holding her tightly to themselves lovingly. She turned to face the person.

Silver hair met her upon investigation. She yelped and scrambled out of the bed. Sesshoumaru woke up with a start, sitting straight up instantly.

“What’s wrong? Where is the demon?” he jumped off the bed.

“What are you doing in my bed?” she yelled.

“Be quiet woman. You’ll wake the whole castle.” He rubbed his temples. “You fell asleep in my arms.” He rolled his eyes and straightened his clothing.

“How did that happen?” Confusion settling on her face as she pulled her hand through her hair.

“I said something I shouldn’t have and it upset you. I had to comfort you to settle you down. We both fell asleep while I was holding you.”

“So you were kind enough to comfort me? Does this mean that you care about me?” she asked him. Hoped filled her eyes at this thought.

“Iie. I do not need an upset Lady helping run the Western Lands.” He moved towards the door.

“Thanks for comforting me Sesshoumaru,” she quickly headed towards her wardrobe to change into some fresh clothing.

Sesshoumaru quickly left the room and went to the study to begin his day of paperwork.

The days passed by while Kagome planned for the wedding that was to be held the next day. She stared at the flower arrangement before her while trying to figure out where it should be placed.

Izayoi and Kikyou had tried to comfort her about being cheated out of love once again, but Kagome just smiled and told them she was fine. Everyone else watched her closely for any sign of depression. Of course, none showed and she continued to smile to everyone.

Rin helped with the wedding ceremony as much as she could and read to Kagome when she was being fitted into the new kimonos for the ceremony. She already had a lighter kimono than the twelve layered one chosen for the celebration party.

“Mamma, you can put them on the table over there,” Rin pointed to a small half circle table against a wall. “It would make it seem less dark and scary.”

Kagome nodded and picked up the vase and walked it over to the table.

“It seems everything’s read for tomorrow then, doesn’t it?” a voice sounded out from behind her. “Nobody told me you were getting married a second time. Or that you married a first time at all.”

Kagome whirled around to face the gruff feminine voice behind her. “Sango!” she squealed and launched herself at her best friend.

Sango had been gone for some time training and testing so she could begin exterminating bigger demons then just centipedes and spiders. She had taken Shippo, a young kit demon that Kagome had found and adopted to train him with his demon abilities so he could improve and protect Kagome when need be.

“I have missed you dear sister. When your letters stopped coming, almost sent someone for you and Shippo. By the way, where is my kit at?”

As Kagome and Sango separated, an orange fur ball came flying through the air at her. Upon hitting her stomach, she wrapped her arms around it.

“MAMMA!!!” the fur ball cried out through the happy laughter and joyful tears. “I’ve missed you so much! I can’t wait to show you my new tricks and the fighting skills I learned.”

The fur ball uncurled to produce a young kitsune.

“Oh Shippo! I’ve missed you so much! I can’t wait to see them, but I have a surprise for you too.” She kissed Shippo’s forehead and smiled lovingly at him.

“What is it mamma?” he asked reverently.

“I have someone I would like you to meet.” She turned her head to find Rin staring at the group. “Darling, come here. I want you to meet someone.”

“Hai! Rin is coming mamma!” the little girl called while running over to the group.

“Why’d she call you mamma?” Shippo asked.

“Because, she’s your new sister. Shippo, this is Rin. Rin, this is Shippo, your new brother. He’s been gone for a while and he’s learned some new tricks while away. I think it would be wonderful if he showed you, don’t you Rin?” she smiled at the young girl, who, in turn, smiled at the kit.

“Shippo-chan will show Rin, please?” Her sweet voice seemed to melt Shippo’s heart instantly.

“Well, I guess I could, seeming as you’re my new sister. Let’s go outside. Can we mamma?” he turned to face her, his eyes hopeful.

“Of course. Yura!” she called into the hallway and the servant came running down the hall.

“Oh! I’ll have to try that some time,” Sango kidded, watching as Yura skidded to a halt, panting for air.

“I advise you not, but you will do what you wish, Lady Sango. It is good to see you again.” She bowed to Sango, who chuckled.

“Are you brainless yet?” Sango joked, an old one between the two.

Kagome rolled her eyes. “More than normal with all the planning and what not. I could have sworn she thinks its Naraku all over again.”

Yura’s head sunk low and her mouth thinned. Kagome winced slightly.

“I’ll take the children outside. Lord Sesshoumaru requests your presence when you’ve a chance to do so.” She quickly bowed and gathered the two kids up and left the two adults alone.

“Tell me about how you’ve been and what’s been going on?” Sango faced Kagome once again.

“Well, I guess I have to meet with Lord Sesshoumaru first. I’m just about done with decorating, and the wedding isn’t until tomorrow. Do you want to come and meet him?” she asked.

“I’d love to meet the man about to marry my best friend.”

They walked down the halls making small talk about how everything new in their life until Kagome stopped in front of a door. She quickly knocked and opened the door at the sound of the grunt.

“You wanted to see me, Lord Sesshoumaru?” She asked while stepping in.

“The decorations?” he asked, not even looking up.

“Finished. Sesshoumaru?” She dragged Sango into the room and watched as he placed the papers in his hands down on the desk.

“What is it woman?” he asked finally looking up at her.

“I would like you to meet my best friend Sango. You can meet Shippo later. He’s my adopted son. Yura took him and Rin to play in the gardens.” She offered, in case he wished to see the little girl.

“Indeed.” His emotionless gaze fell on Sango. “You are an exterminator, correct?”

“Hai, my Lord. I have been my whole life.” She glanced a Kagome and back again.

“Where were you a week ago?” he asked her.

“I was in the middle of my test so I could exterminate stronger demons than spiders and worms. Why do you ask, my Lord?” Confusion etched onto her face.

“I will explain everything later Sango,” Kagome quickly interfered before Sesshoumaru could say anything more. “Plus, I believe there is a houshi that’s been acting out of line chasing the himes.”

She bowed to Sesshoumaru and dragged Sango out before she could do anything.

“Kagome! What is going on? Who was that and who put a stick up his ass? What happened last week? What’s Miroku doing now? And why did you just pull me away from him before he could answer my question?” The questions tumbled out so fast, it almost made her dizzy.

Sango stared at her long time friend in utter shock. She couldn’t find anything to say to her. Her mouth flapped up and down until she seemed to regain herself.

“Why the hell didn’t you send me sooner? You could have died Kagome! Died! Shippo would have been left motherless and probably have just ran away and we wouldn’t be able to ever see you again! Kagome!” Sango yelled at her while standing to her feet.

“Hai, Sango, I know. But there’s not point getting upset over it now, is there? You can’t do anything about it, can you?”

Sango sighed and lowered her head in defeat. “I guess you’re right. But at least I can be here for the better marriage, right?”

Kagome smiled brightly at her friend and they both squealed before running down the stairs to find something else to do for the wedding.

Shippo sat huddled in Kagome’s lap in front of her bedroom fire place. She wrapped her arms around him and smiled to herself.

“I’ve missed you mamma. Sango kept telling me you missed me too and you couldn’t wait until I got back home.” His soft voice flitted through the air.

“I’m just glad you’re safe darling. I worried too much.” Her mind drifted to Naraku briefly before banishing him from her thoughts. “How do you like Rin?”

“She is really nice and I’m glad she’s my new sister.” He smiled up to Kagome. “Do I get to meet Sesshoumaru-sama?”

“He should be up here about now. Give a few moments then you’ll meet him.” She pulled him closer to herself and sighed.

The door slide open. “I thought I had said nobody was aloud in here without me present,” Sesshoumaru’s cold voice reached her ears.

Shippo almost froze in terror from the voice ask Kagome’s arms wrapped around him tighter.

“My son can be anywhere I am with or without you, Sesshoumaru,” she round out.

“He is demon.”

“So! That doesn’t matter to me. What matters is he’s my son!” she yelled at him.

Sesshoumaru stepped into the room, closing the door. He moved into their view of line and glanced at the young demon in her arms, clutched close to her stomach.

“What is your name?” he asked the kit.

“S-s-shippo,” he managed to get out.

“Where are your parents, kit?” his voice almost came out as a sneer.

Shippo began to tremble and clutched on to Kagome. A silent sob wracked his body.

“Shh...” Kagome hushed him and began to rock back and forth. “They are dead,” she whispered.

“Hn,” was his only response before sitting down next to them.

Shippo finally settled down after a few minutes and shortly after that, he drifted off to sleep.

“You expect me to become his father?” he asked.

“Iie. I never thought of it. I only want you to treat him kindly and not like he’s not worth speaking to.”

“Hn.”

“Please Sesshoumaru. He is a son to me like Rin is a daughter to you. I care about him a lot.”

“Indeed.” With that, he stood up. “Tomorrow is the wedding. Go to sleep.”

With that, Sesshoumaru left her. She sighed and decided to crawl into bed with Shippo.

Kagome found herself sitting next to her new husband, both fathers smiling at them, board out of her mind. He had almost refused to let her dance several times until Inu-no-Tashio had glared at Sesshoumaru. Anyone who tired to even approach the table fled at the look they received from him.

“Lady Kanade and Lady Izayoi wish for your company, Lady Kagome. Will you be joining them?” a servant asked, bowing to her.

“Of course I will! Tell them I’ll be there in a few moments.” She turned to face Sesshoumaru. “I’ll be back shortly. The other Ladies wish for my presence. If you need me for anything, just send a servant.”

He nodded and she quickly left, finding Izayoi and Kanade on the other side of the room, trying to avoid their mates’ sharp hearing.

“Kagome! We thought you were never going to get away from those pious men! All they do is talk about whose Lands are better then whose. Then they fight. How dull and chauvinistic,” Kanade exclaimed, pressing the back of her hand to her forehead.

The three laughed at this and began to chat about menial things. Kikyou and Sango had eventually joined them while Inu Yasha nagged the group about stealing his mate from him so she couldn’t dance with him anymore.

She had yelled at him and chased him off to leave the group laughing. Every now and then, one would catch him with his ears down glaring at them, causing them all to laugh again.

The light mood continued on that way until a woman shoved Kagome while passing by.

Kanade sighed and covered her face. Izayoi had almost yelled at the woman while Kikyou shook her head. Kagome stared after the lady in absolute shock.

“I was wondering when that was going to start happening,” Kanade softly stated.

Kagome’s head whipped around to face the demoness. “Why’d she do that and what do you mean by that?” she asked.

“The women being rude, pushing you, glaring at you, saying horrible things to you. All because you just married the most handsome, not to mention strongest demon alive. Soon they’ll realize he’s not mated yet and fight for his attention while trying to kill you off. Of course, high society has to make it harder, because it’s against Court to kill anyone on it without hard proof before doing so, just so you won’t be killed for treason. He can also drop you as a wife after mating if he thinks you’re not suitable to produce an heir.” Kanade finished, glancing at the head table where several Ladies where making their way towards.

“And it seems it’s all ready begun!” Sango exclaimed, glaring at the group.

“Don’t let them get to you, Kagome. Inu-no will shoo them away before any damage is done. Plus, Court’s going to be called in two weeks about unmated and heirless Lords,” Izayoi smiled kindly.

“Lord Kouga will be quite upset that he won’t be able to mate with you, but I assume he already is,” Kikyou sighed.

“Of course he is. He was extremely pissed off about the wife rule. He wanted to call Court and demand it be withdrawn. I’m glad everyone talked him out of it too,” Kagome chuckled softly, watching the group of Ladies at the table disperse, glaring at her father.

“I think I’m going to go collect my mate and head to bed before those women try to move to the mated ones,” Kanade said before heading towards Hitten.

“Hai. I don’t want Inu Yasha going into hiding anytime soon. Good night sister.” Kikyou quickly left to find her mate.

Izayoi laughed softly. “I must admit, I’m getting tired as well. Good night darling. And don’t worry about the children. Kibito has promised to take care of them tonight, so you should go to bed as well.”

She gave Kagome a hug and disappeared before Kagome could argue.

Sango shook her head. “They all expect you to sleep with him.” She blanched. “They are horrible!”

Kagome laughed lightly at her friends’ reaction. “It’s normal for a newly wedded couple to do such things. At least Sesshoumaru has decided not to force me to do anything.”

“Hai, but it’s the principle of the idea! They shouldn’t be acting like that!” Sango defended.

“This is my second marriage. They know I know what to expect by now, so they do not bother trying to be modest about it with me. I really don’t mind either.” She shrugged her shoulders. “But I think you’d mind if Miroku kept up the act he’s pulling.”

She had caught sight of Miroku groping a woman, who, in turn, giggled behind her hand.

Sango glared at him and huffed. “Stupid monk’s going to learn what death feels like.” With that, she stomped off after the lecher to teach him a lesson.

A thought throat cleared, making her whirl around to find Sesshoumaru standing behind her. She smiled up at him nervously.

“Sesshoumaru! I was just going to find you. I wanted to tell you that I was… uhm… going to bed.” She coughed slightly from embarrassment, her cheeks turning five different shades of red.

He noticed the blush creeping down her next and wondered where it stopped. He caught himself before the thought progressed and turned his attention to the crowd of women trying to catch his eye while glaring at the woman in front of him.

“Indeed. I believe this Sesshoumaru will accompany you. The women here disgust me.” He lent an arm out to her and she quickly looped hers through it.

He lead them to their bedroom (he was to share a room with her now until either mating, or an heir was produced) and waited until she had changed before going in.

He found her laying on the bed covered with the blanket and nothing more. Her black ebony hair swept out around her head. He found his beast was pleased by the image, and his body seemed to not heed the anger it brought him.

“I figured you would want to consummate the marriage as nobody would say anything about your honor. If you do not wish to do that, I will dress and we may sleep.” She glanced between the floor and him nervously, not liking him just standing there, not moving or saying anything.

Coming to her own conclusion, she quickly got up and threw on a yakama. “Please excuse me, Sesshoumaru. I did not mean to insult you or anger you. I was only thinking of trying to keep your honor in tack.”

She bowed quickly and crawled back into bed.

“Woman, what is your problem?” he asked her.

“I do not know what you mean,” she answered, sitting up in bed.

“Why not wait for an answer?” he asked again.

“You didn’t say anything for a long time. I though I was repelling to you, so I put clothing on. Do you wish for me to take it off?” she asked, completely confused.

“Are you ready for that?” he asked her.

Her eyes opened wide with shock. She had known that it was up to her if they would do anything, but she didn’t know he had wanted her to be ready to do things with another man.

She didn’t know if she was ready, or how to even tell if she was ready. She knew if he was ready, then she could be for his sake, without doubt. Why? Because even if it had been a dream, she had told him millions of times that she loved him. Even a part of her now was ready for it.

She turned head away from him. “If it’s your honor, then I am. I cannot be any cause to harm your reputation. I am ready then.”

“You’re not ready,” he stated.

“Not on an emotionally level, but as the honorable thing, I am ready. That, and I do believe at one point you had told me that you weren’t going to come to me for any other purpose than to let me carry on my blood line. I understand that and I understand this. My feelings on the matter mean nothing.” She stated into his eyes. “Please, let’s just get it done.”

“Hn.” With that, he quickly undressed.

She watched as his muscles jumped in the dim light. She felt the onslaught of emotions hit her. Eagerness to please, anticipation to what, she knew not, excited at the thought of him naked and many more. She felt herself get some what wet and flashes of all the dreams she had had flashed through her mind.

Sesshoumaru was hit by the smell of her arousal and he felt himself throb at the thought of her naked body pressed against his own. The memory of her changing made his need to thrust into her greater.

He moved towards her and claimed her lips with his own. The kiss was wild and passionate, leaving both of them breathless and needing air. He glanced into her eyes and noticed they were glazed over with a fiery emotion he could not name. Needing more without realizing it, he took her lips with his once more and slid his tongue over her lips, begging to be let in.

Her mind completely gone by now, she obeyed and felt his tongue explore her mouth. Somewhere in the back of her mind a tiny voice yipped and yelled ‘What an adventure!’ before she completely lost track of even that. She moved in with her own tongue, fighting for dominance.

He slowly pushed her to lay on her back, and his hands went to the tie holding her yakama together. She moaned into his mouth, a slight vibration from the moan filling his every nerve. He growled slightly before moving from her lips and down her jaw to end at her neck while his hand roamed the plain of her flat stomach. His other hand supported his weight above her head.

Kagome’s hands found their way to his chest to run her fingers over it lightly. He shivered at the touch and began nipping at her.

She moaned again, almost pushing him over the edge. He quickly moved further down, sucking on a nipple. Her back arched at the feeling.

Somewhere in the back of her mind, she was realizing that she was enjoying this on more than an honorable connection. She was enjoying it on an emotional level.

At the same time, Sesshoumaru was trying to deny liking it on any level. She was human and disgusting, as all humans were. His claws moved toward her womanhood and separated her folds. A clawed finger slowly entered her passage, causing her to call out his name. He growled louder, enjoying how tight and wet she was.

He slipped in another and she began to move to the rhythm of his fingers. The coil in her belly tightened until fireworks exploded in her mind, causing her to cry out his name.

He felt himself throb almost painfully with need. He moved her further up the bed and reclaimed her lips in a searing kiss. He growled as he settled between her thighs.

He pulled away and stared into her eyes. “Are you sure about this?”

“Hai, I’m sure,” she whispered softly to him, preparing herself.

With that, he pushed forward, entering her tight passage and held himself still, relishing in the feel of her. Kagome moaned and wiggled around a bit, trying to adjust to his size. He moaned himself and his head fell into the crook of her neck.

He began to move slowly at first, tying not to alarm her. She responded by matching his pace.

“Please Sesshoumaru, faster. Please go faster,” she breathed out.

All thought left his mind at that statement as he moved faster. She tried to keep up with him, her body arched, moans escaping her parted lips, but his pace soon became too much for her, so she sat back for the ride, yelling his name.

Sesshoumaru loved hearing his name come from her in the throws of passion. He could feel his beast trying to escape to ravish the woman beneath him. He fought the urge as she began to pant.

Soon a scream tore out of her throat as she called his name as the orgasm hit her hard.

“You’re so tight,” he ground out. “It feels so good!”

“Oh! Sesshoumaru, fuck me!” she yelled out, her hand entwining into his long silver mane and tugging at it.

He growled out as his demon finally escaped. His speed increased and he growled and barked as he thrust into her.

She moaned in pure bliss, the feeling of flying on clouds crossing her mind once. She growled back at him and raked her blunt nails across his back as orgasm after orgasm hit her.

He could feel the end coming close, and he quickly pulled out, flipping her onto her knees. She tried to get up on to her hands, but he shoved her back down.

“You’ll like it this way a lot more,” he whispered into her ear as he bent over her form.

She shuddered in pleasure and he quickly entered her, causing her to moan louder than before. He grinned to himself and growled out his pleasure.

He knew she was about to have another orgasm and felt his right on the verge. He gave a final thrust, burying deeper then before and felt his seed release.

A huge roar of triumph fell from his mouth at the same time Kagome screamed his name and her walls began to milk him dry.

They stayed like that for a moment, panting at their release before he pulled out and laid down on the bed.

Kagome rolled onto her back and glanced at him. She took note of the red receding from his eyes, not even knowing his demon had taken over due to being caught up in everything, and the find sweet that covered his body.

Laying in the bed, staring at the canopy, he realized that the woman next to him was the first female to last long enough for a very long time, which pleased his demon, not to mention, himself.

She smiled at him shyly as a blush crept up her face.

Sesshoumaru glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes and smirked. “Still shy after that?”

Her blush deepened and she quickly looked away. “I’m sorry. It’s just that you’re the first time I’ve ever felt anything other but fear during that,” she mumbled.

A small chuckle escaped his lips. “So it became more then just the right thing to do to save someone’s honor?” he teased.

The blush deepened even more, something he thought couldn’t happen, and she turned to her side, trying to escape his eyes. He curled up behind her and pulled her to his chest.

“Let’s get some rest and we’ll see everyone in the morning at breakfast.”

With that, he pulled the blanket over them and they drifted off into a deep sleep.

Sesshoumaru had woken up early and found himself holding Kagome. A since of contempt passed over him before quickly pulling away.

She rolled over and tossed her arms over Sesshoumaru’s torso.
“Sesshoumaru…” she mumbled, snuggling closer to him. “Please, don’t leave me again,” she sighed.

He sighed and placed an arm around her, deciding that a few more hours of sleep might be good for him. He pulled her closer unconsciously with a small thought of how soft and warm she was laying next to him before falling back to sleep once more.

Kagome woke up to find Sesshoumaru nuzzling her cheek in his sleep. She smiled softly and giggled. Gently, she pushed a stray hair behind his ear.

His eyes snapped open and sat up in bed. He ran a hand over his face to wake up completely. He glanced over at his new wife and mentally sighed. She seemed almost angelic in her innocent look. The side he argued with about everything (humans called it a conscious, demons call it the beast) almost purred at the sight.

“You slept in it seems,” she noted before sitting up and covering herself with the blanket.

“So modest even after last night, Kagome?”

He smirked at her sudden blush and somewhere in his mind, he noted the blush faded at the top of her breasts. “After you screaming last night, you won’t be able to hide it.”

Her blush deepened and she buried her head into the sheets. A muffled ‘have a good day,’ was heard as he stood up to dress.

“You will be getting out of bed today, correct?” he asked.

“Of course. I have to see off guests today. You will be there, correct?” she mimicked.

“Hn.” He stood up and began dressing.

“I will be down shortly. I have to gather the children after I dress.” She stood up from the bed and began following his example.

Kagome stained another smile as yet another woman promised to come see Sesshoumaru with hopes of making him forget all about her. This had been going on all day, and she was hoping that this was the last of the guest besides her family, which had decided to stay a few extra days to spend some ‘quality’ time with her and Sesshoumaru, though she knew it was with the children to see if the two of them worked well together.

Her hand clenched into a fist so hard, the faint scent of blood permitted the air as the woman gave Sesshoumaru a quick peck on the cheek.

‘Stupid whores!’ she screamed in her mind. ‘They try to get rid of me not a day after the wedding! OOOHH!!!’

She glared daggers at her as the Lady glanced at her, a snarl in place.

“Leave,” Kagome hissed before turning around to go back into the castle.

Once inside and the doors firmly closed, she yelled at the top of her lungs. “Damn WHORES! They think they can treat me. LADY KAGOME, like trash?!? I have more power then any single one of their fathers holds in a god damn pinky! Insolent bitches! They will NOT! I repeat NOT! Step foot in the Western Lands Castle over my damn dead body! I’ve had enough!”

With that, she stormed down the halls to the gardens to relax.

Sesshoumaru smirked from outside the castle doors, where every demon present stared with slack jaws at the doors. One Lady even huffed a “Well if I’ve ever,” and Inu-no-Tashio almost doubled over in laughter.

Inu Yasha chuckled and shrugged his shoulders when Izayoi glared at him. “It’s not my fault she picked up my language. I believe the volume of voice came from you though, dear mother.”

The glare hardened and he quickly took off to find a safe haven from the angry onna.

Kibito shook his head and smiled. “And to think, almost everyone here is well aware of how much power she actually holds, and still are trying to anger her. You women are truly brave.”

He walked away with that statement left up in the air and the other Lords held impish smiles, some scratching their heads in embarrassment before they all took off with their collective daughters. Everyone knew full well that each girl would get a lecture and advice in how to win the young Lord over as soon as the castle was out of sight.

Sesshoumaru followed the smell of lilac and the ocean to the gardens to find his wife near tears in front of a small waterfall.

“Stupid girls can’t even wait a few days until attacking him like fresh meat! IIE! Instead, they wait until after the weddings complete. I bet a few of them were even trying to get his attention during the wedding as well.

“I mean, a few of those girls had really short kimonos and they tried to hang all over him the minute I wasn’t looking! I should have had their heads chopped off for such disrespect to their Lady! They’re not even worth being a concubine!”

At this point, tears began to spill down her cheeks. “He’s probably considering one of them as a mate too, just to get rid of me. He’s already told me he doesn’t want anything to do with me. Why do I even bother to care anyway? He’s only nice to me in my dreams and last night… and the night he comforted me… and when he reassured me he wasn’t going to do anything I didn’t want to do… He let me be Rin’s mother, not to mention pretty much taken over as Shippo’s father…” She sighed and leaned her head on her knees, the tears starting to dry up now. She sat there quietly watching the water burble in front of her.

“You were crying?” he asked.

“Oh, I didn’t know you were there,” she whispered while wiping the tears away with the back of her hands. “How long have you been there?”

“Long enough,” was his only reply.

“How much of it did you hear?” she turned her face slightly so she could see him out of the corner of her eyes.

“Enough to know how you feel about the women.”

He moved forward so that she could see him better. “Are you worried about them?”

Kagome turned away from him and watched the water again for a moment before answering. “I’m not worried about the women. In fact, all they do is infuriate me.” She sighed and turned her face away completely. “Iie, I’m worried about your opinion of them and if you will hate them or not.” She turned to face him again. “I know I feel something, wither it’s for you, or what I see in my dreams, I know not, but I don’t want to be hurt. Nobody wants to see me hurt. I just don’t really know, I guess.”

She lowered her gaze. “I’m sorry, I’m being silly. I’ll just go take care of the children now.”

Sesshoumaru grabbed her arm and pulled her to his chest. “I’m not looking for a mate. I have a wife, and that’s all I need until I decided she’s worthy enough to become my mate. I admit, I, myself, am quite confused about my feelings toward you. I do not know if what I feel is influenced by my dreams, or by you, but I will figure it out, and I will not be looking for a mate. Be rest assured.”

With that, he released her and left to see off the last of the visitors, leaving Kagome to stare after him.

thehotty: Well, yeah, that's what people with lives do...

Sesshoumaru: No. They get a job and a boyfriend and friends.

thehotty: I have all of that except for a job. I'm MOVING!!! I can't have a job if I'm moving!

Kagome: You know, she's got a valid point.

Sango: Where are you moving to?

thehotty: Far away... But I'll be closer to my mommy!

Sesshoumaur: O.o

Kagome: o.O Did I just see what I thought I saw?

Inu Yasha: WHAT THE HELL!!!!

Miroku: *Jaws on the ground*

thehotty: Oh my good Athena! Will you people stop it! So what, Sesshoumaru made a face at me! You all saw what he was like high and didn't say a word!

Sango: But that was different!

thehotty: NO, it wasn't! And Miroku! You shouldn't be all surprised! You were the one to get him high!

Miroku: But it was for medical purposes!

Kagome: Rrrrriiiiigggghhhhhttttt...

Naraku: Kukukukukukuku! Stupid fools!

Sesshoumaru: Shut up, faggot!

thehotty: Next time: I really don't know, because I don't want to read it, so you'll just have to come and find out!

Rin: TH is being lazy! Bad TH!

thehotty: I know, but I can't remember, and I am being lazy. I have a lot of cleaning to do in half hour and I don't really care!

All: Ja ne!
