A/N: Thank you again for the review KooKoo, as for InuYasha’s pack I plan on getting to what Sesshomaru will do with them, once I’m done letting Ash drive him up the wall. So in the next few chapters he will make his desion about Inu’s pack. Hope you enjoy this chapter as well!

“What is that?” Sesshomaru questioned as she smashed another plant into the mortar and started grinding with the pestle. Cringing his nose as the smell from the concoction reached his nose. “It smells funny.”

“You are not helping,” Ash sighed, as she added white willow to help with the pain. “If you keep making comments I am going to ban you from the room until I release the care of her to you.”

“This is my castle,” Sesshomaru growled, as he glared at her.

“I won’t drop dead from a glare,” Ash giggled. Pouring the contents of the mortar into a bowl of warm water she began to stir. Closing her eyes she added her own bit of healing Magick to the water. Sesshomaru backed up a bit when the bowl began to glow white.

“This better work,” Sesshomaru began, but was cut off when Ash abruptly stood up and faced him.

“Or what you’ll kill me?” she laughed, as she stalked towards him. “The cold heart Lord of the Western Lands I would like to introduce myself properly. My name is Ash, I am a powerful witch who has been cursed with immortality. The cause of my curse hunts me down constantly and I have to keep moving so he does not catch me and take my powers again. Healing the well drained a lot of my powers so excuse me if I am cranky, but you need to leave and stop filling this room with your negative energy if you wish for her to leave. You taint her body’s healing abilities with your negative energy. Besides shouldn’t you be discussing what will happen with your brother’s pack now that he is your pack, or have you forgotten them because they are mere humans! Answer me Dammit!”

“You speak far too much,” Sesshomaru replied as he left the room. Her jaw dropped to the floor. She had just insulted and try to pick a fight with him, and he just calmly left.

“Well I’ll be damn, that is some self control,” she laughed to herself as she returned to the task at hand. Looking towards the bed, she saw Taijina barely breathing. “My my the trouble you find yourself in young one. To be careless and young. I will restore your life, I just hope you learn to live it one day, Taijina.”

“Feh, so you guys were worried about me,” InuYasha smirked as he kept a watchful eye on Rin as she chased after Kirara. Miroku and Sango stood next to InuYasha in the garden, staring at it’s beautiful red roses.

“Of course,” Miroku replied. “We are still friends, even if Lady Kagome is no longer with us.”

“I thought you would blame me for not being able to protect her,” InuYasha whispered as he looked towards the ground.

“You tried your best,” Miroku replied, as he looked towards the ground. “Besides we were also unable to protect her as well.”

“I’m sure she is safe and fine on the other side of the well,” Sango assured her friends as she looked down and hid her eyes behind her bangs. Tears slid down her cheeks. “Oh Kagome.”

“Tears will not bring the Miko back,” Sesshomaru growled as he walked towards them. Turning to stare at him as he approached, Sesshomaru placed an emotionless mask upon his face. He refused to let the see his irritation of the human healer, or his fear that Taijina may never wake. “Would she not want you to be happy instead of mourn her lost?”

“Will you be able to move on if Taijina never awakes?” InuYasha snapped. Preparing to inform his brother of his position in the pack, InuYasha cut him off as soon as his mouth open. “No not a word. You have no idea what this feels like. Although you partially know because of Taijina’s pain. But do not preach to me when you have no idea what I feel right now. Hell you don’t even show your feelings! Do you even ha…ack.”

“You will refrain from speaking,” Sesshomaru growled, sensing the monk and slayer draw their weapons, but take a few steps back. The brothers stared into each other, both pairs of golden eyes were starting to tint red. Low growls came from their throats, and no one dare to speak. This was the scene Ash walked in upon.

“Really now,” Ash huffed as she approached them. “Can your petty sibling squabbles wait till after Taijina is well again. Please put him down Lord Sesshomaru, I do believe his skin is starting to blue.”

“Shouldn’t you be taking care of Taijina?” Sesshomaru growled as he dropped InuYasha to the ground and turn to glare down at Ash.

“You glare too much,” she replied, as InuYasha stood up and brushed himself off. Grumbling low to himself as he straighten his Fire rat robes , Sesshomaru decided to ignore InuYasha’s insults. Lifting her right arm, Ash pushed back her flared out sleeve, showing her bare are. “I need you to poison me.”

“WHAT?” InuYasha gaped, stopping with his complaining and looking at Ash like she had gone completely insane. They all stared at Ash, shaking her head she sighed.

“I have to feel the full effects of the poison if I am to know what the poison is attacking in her system,” Ash explained, trying to get them to understand. “I’m not going to die, if that is your fear. Just go down for a little.”

“Do you doubt the potency of my poison?” Sesshomaru asked her, unsure of what she was really up to.

“JUST SHUT UP AND DO IT!” Ash screamed, trying to anger Sesshomaru and get him to strike her. Finally having his rage tested for the last time, Sesshomaru gave the girl what she asked for. Not striking her in the arm, his poisonous claws tore through her dress and shredded her flesh. Falling to the ground in a bloody mess, the others stood in silence.

“You killed her,” InuYasha whispered, rage was building up inside him. “What the fuck did your do that for!!!”

“She asked for it to be done,” Sesshomaru replied as he stared down at the girl. InuYasha grabbed and turned his brother to face him.

“So if I tell you to kill me you are going to do the same goddamn thing to me!” InuYasha fumed. Sesshomaru was about to strangle his brother again, when Ash spoke.

“I’m not dead,” she said firmly. Her eyes were still closed, and her body wasn’t moving except for her lips. “Now if you two would shut up so I can listen to my body healing.”

Brought into silence by her words, they watched wordlessly as her pale bloody body healed itself. The wounds started to close, and the pink tint to her skin return. Sitting up like nothing happened, she let out a deep breath.

“Well now I know how to cure her,” she replied as she returned to Taijina’s room.

“Someone explain to me what the fuck happened,” InuYasha gaped, as his jaw hit the floor, and she walked away as if nothing happened.

“So the legend of the Wanderer is true,” Miroku said thoughtfully to himself, his hand on his chin.

“The Wanderer?” Sango asked him, as they watched Sesshomaru walk towards the castle leaving them once more.

“What the hell are you talking about monk?” InuYasha fumed, as he turned to face them.

“It was said their was a wandering human female healer,” Miroku started. “She would go town to town healing the sick, sometimes inflicting the sickness upon herself so she would know how to heal them. Never aging a day she was said to be a gift from the Kamis to heal the sick and wounded, though she never claimed to be a Miko. In fact she denied it, and only wished to be called Wanderer. She disappeared a few decades ago, and everyone thought she died, or went back to the heavens. I believe she is the one the legend speaks of.”

“So if that is true she is one old human,” InuYasha snorted.

“How did she become immortal,” Sango wondered out loud.

“No one knows anything about her past, except she would heal anyone regardless of age, wealth, sex, or species,” Miroku replied. “Some called her a fallen angel.”

“Feh,” InuYasha huffed, as he turned from them. “Who cares. Come Rin, it’s lunchtime.”

“You have become an Uncle for your brother’s ward I see,” Miroku teased as InuYasha glared at him. “Calm down. Nothing I say is said with malice.”

“Screw you monk,” InuYasha replied, as he headed towards the castle, the silent Rin following him.

“Do you think it’s healthy for such a young girl to be living with demons,” Sango asked as Kirara leapt upon her shoulder.
“She is at peace here,” Miroku replied as he and Sango followed Rin. “Even though I do not know her full story, I am convinced she is happier here then she was with humans.”

“What are you?” Sesshomaru asked as he came into Taijina’s room. Ash was sitting on the bed rubbing a salve into the wounds on Taijina’s back.

“I don’t know anymore,” Ash replied, refusing to be distracted from her task. “I was human once, I think. My mortality ripped away I spent years as a healer. Then I was a selfish lover to a king. Then a healer again, until I found something else to do. I keep going from selfish to self sacrificial. My life is just one giant circle with one friend in it, and she is the one you almost killed. Accidentally of course.”

“I thought mortality is a burden upon humans,” he replied, as he leaned against the wall, watching her work.

“They have no idea what it is like to watch the ones you love grow old and die,” she sighed, as she finished covering the last of the wound in the salve, and getting out the cloth bandages to cover the wounds. “I wish for a thousand deaths so I may be reunited with the ones I have lost over the years.”

“Just how old are you,” Sesshomaru asked as she turned Taijina over and covered her up. Ash shrugged her shoulders, as she didn’t know her true age.

“Much of my life before Leo has been erased from my memory,” she sighed as she picked up a dried sage leaf in her hand and crushed it. “Every now and then he comes back and takes my memory again. I have to keep running from him, it is almost as if he lives off my memory. Now enough of this depressing matter. A sick room must be filled with nothing but good vibes if the sickness is to be cured.”

“And you now know how to heal her?” he asked, one eyebrow raised.

“Yes,” she replied, as she fingered one of the slashes in her dress. “A poison attacks certain things within the body. Some will go for the brain, others the heart or lungs. Your poison starts to attack the kidneys first. Shutting them down before attacking the liver, and heading towards the lungs. The person dies an excorticating death if poison slowly. But if mass amounts are entered into the system besides the acid tendency which melts anything on direct contact the heart rate accelerates to an abnormally high rate that shuts down the body completely.
“Yours is the most complex poison I have faced in a long time, but with the right herbs I can heal her. First I use the salve I put on her back to reduce the acid in her system, allowing her body to be able to shut the wounds on her own. Then I give her a mixture to immune and heal the lungs. Then one for the liver then kidneys. In about two weeks she will awake, but still be in great amounts of pain. For that I will give her white willow to numb her body. Two months and she will be back to herself.”

“TWO MONTHS!” Sesshomaru roared, as her words sunk it.

“Yes,” she sighed, knowing she had incurred his wrath once more. “What you must realize is I am a miracle worker, she would not have survived if I had not interfered. Especially because she weak against poison attacks. Poor child has a weak immune system for a Youkai. Now will you allow me to continue my work?”

He left without another word. Smirking to herself she took his leaving as a wordless yes. Taijina moaned in her troubled sleep, the white willow from earlier had worn off. Things would be interesting once she was up and about, after all you would have to be blind to miss the tension between Sesshomaru and Taijina. Ash let an evil little grin slip on her face, oh she would have fun with these two.
