I'll be there for you

Kagome sat on the edge of her bed, dieing, or almost dieing, had a way of putting your life in prospective. And ironically all she could think about when she went under was ….him.

She never would have been able to tell him her true feelings, and that, seemed almost worse than death. Even if he didn’t, couldn’t, love her back, the thought of him never knowing, horrified her. Maybe her soul would have been caught in the lake as well, maybe she too would have been forced to remain in her own watery grave.

“Inu yasha…”

“Kagome?” Inu yasha walked into the room, closing the door gently behind him.

“Inu yasha.” Kagome blushed slightly, she hadn’t expected him to there.

“I just came to make sure you were alright.” Inu yasha sat down on the bed next to her.

“I’m fine…But I’m glad you came up here to check on me, I kinda had something I wanted to tell you.” Kagome fought to keep the blush from her cheeks, she wanted him to know she was serious, how could anyone take her serious when she was blushing like a little school girl?

Inu yasha tilted his head to one side. “What is it?”

“It’s hard for me to say….”

“You know you can tell me anything Kagome.”

“I know.” Kagome looked up at him, god his eyes were gorgeous.

‘Once I tell him there’s no going back…might as well take advantage of the situation. He’s going to be so mad at me…’ Kagome closed her eyes gathering up her strength. Taking a deep breath she leaned forward and pressed her lips against his in a chaste kiss. When she pulled back she kept her eyes closed, she couldn’t stand to see the rejection written all over his face. “I love you Inu yasha, I’m sorry, but I can’t help it.” Kagome could feel the tears building in her eyes, her throat was so tight it was hard to breath. ‘I can’t cry…’

Inu yasha blinked. ‘She loves me…’ his heart was beating like crazy. ‘She doesn’t love him….she loves me….me…’

“Kagome ….” She flinched as he said her name. Words couldn’t help now. Inu yasha cupped her chin in his hand then leaned forward and kissed her softly. He wrapped his arms around her cradling her into his body. He gently nibbled on her lip before sliding his tongue into her mouth and caressing her own.

At first Kagome was stiff and afraid, but as Inu yasha’s kiss deepened she began to loosen up and returned his kiss. With his free hand he slid underneath the t shirt she had on and rubbed his claws over her abdomen, her skin was so soft. His hand traveled to the small of her back. Reluctantly he ended the kiss, when he looked down at her, so relaxed, so open to him, he had to fight the urge to take her.

“I love you too Kagome.”

A/N: I don't really have much to say... this was short, but I don;t really feel like writing today, I guess some of you guys think that this has become boring, or 'fucked up' oh well, this is just the way I write, I try to stay true to the charectors, not "Inu yasha finds Kagome all alone and decides to have sex with her." Not sayin theres anything wrong with that, its just not the way I write.
